Now if only the park would educate us on SoB's status lol

Our AP classes were like that when I was in high school; 100-93 A, 92-85 B, 84-77C, and so on. 'Regular' classes still had the typical 10 point scale though.

The park posted today that the new addition will be made on public on facebook first, though no date for the announcement was given. -

Perhaps Terpy believes a gang of legumes may be found here in the near future? -
Major changes for I305?

Maybe they are reprofiling the first turn? -
Michigan's Adventure stated via their facebook page that they had a special visitor in the park today to help with their new addition for 2011. Hopefully its a new ride and a path connecting Shivering Timbers to Thunderhawk. Hard to imagine CF's only new coaster for 2011 going in at MA so I think this will either be a water park addition or a new flat.

What is your favorite memory of the the 2010 season?
thekidd33 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
My favorite KI memories of this year are my first ever ride of Diamondback, my first ever ride on The Crypt, and getting to experience KI with my family again. Our extended family used to take a trip to KI every summer from 1991 until 2003. We finally got my Dad back this year for the first time since then and that was by far my best day of the summer. What a great season it was, looking forward to next year already! -
KI Opens for 39th season on April 30th, 2011

I think some people are equating "care" with "safety" which is not necessarily true. Obviously a lot of work goes into keeping every single ride at KI working in a safe manner. I do not at all think GYK was suggesting that the park was skimping on ride maintenance when it comes to Flight Deck or any other ride. KI employees work very hard at keeping the rides we love in as safe a condition as possible. However, Flight Deck looks awful. Cedar Fair/KI have not, aesthetically speaking, cared for the ride the way that some (including me) wish that they had. -
Seems like it went by so fast! I had a great year though. I went to three new parks, rode 21 new coasters, and made a ton of awesome memories. Luckily my 2011 season starts with a trip to Universal Orlando in January...Waiting til the end of April would have been tough.

I think they should keep BLSC and bring back the antique cars. Lots of good family memories on those. I do love backlot though.

Awesome photos of an awesome park! The only downside is it makes me long for more Raven and Voyage rides! Stupid offseason...

"Orlando Thrill Park" Being Considered
thekidd33 replied to thekidd33's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Some more info on the proposed park: http://www.screamscape.com/html/orlando.htm According to the article that is linked in that post they are looking for approval for rides of 425' (supposedly a coaster), two 312' Drop Tower/space shot type rides, as well as another 200' coaster. Here's the link to the Orlando Sentinel article: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/business/os-i-drive-thrill-park-otp-20101012,0,1945422.story -
^Be careful what you wish for lol

Personally I could care less about the Haunt activities. I go because I love the park. It is neat to see some of the decorations and all the work that is put into the Haunt transformation but I have never been through any of the Haunt attractions and really don't have much of a desire to.

CF still has not announced what they are doing with a very large chunk of capital for 2011. With most of the parks having already made their 2011 ride announcements, is there hope for some work on SOB?

I think I would take the X-Base expansion. I really enjoy the coaster line up we have now (not that I wouldn't enjoy having a few more) and I think some new flat rides in X-Base, along with some restrooms, would add a lot to the park. A Screamin' Swing, Falling Star (not exactly 'new' but it is my favorite flat), and a Twin Flip would be my choices.

When I rode MF in June the airtime was certainly there in a big way on all three hills. I have seen a lot of "MF didn't have any air when I rode it this weekend" comments the past few weeks though.

Summer of 2010 was incredible. I went to Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure, and Indiana Beach for the first time. I rode my first hyper, my first giga, and my first invert this year. I had visits to KI with friends, family, and my girlfriend. I really learned to enjoy the park as a park and not just a collection of rides. Many good times, many memories...can't wait for all of the ones to come!

Six Flags Over Georgia: New for 2011
thekidd33 replied to bkroz's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think this looks like a pretty neat ride. I haven't ridden either of the other two U.S. Eurofighters but the concept has seemed pretty cool. I think it fit in well at SFOG. -
Just think of it like some coasters Terpy, your pass just needed some time to warm up!

It was empty yesterday! My brothers and I got in 21 rides total in just over 6 hours.
