  1. Uh... what the...? Clearly I'm missing something here.Lambert's Cafe - Home of Throwed Rollshttp://www.throwedrolls.com My mom's been dying to take us there someday.
  2. Wait, what? Is that new this year or something? Since the arrival of Soak City, not once have I seen guests not be allowed to go around another time, with or without a line. And I have seen a line, but again, not once did a lifegaurd stop anyone from going around again.
  3. Not to be rude, but why do people do this? The second post was likely a repeat of the first- a common error people, including myself, make from mobile. Instead of keeping two identical posts some will edit the second to say "double post" rather than make someone read the same thing twice.
  4. I just realized I follow you on Twitter. Didn't know until now that you on Twitter was you on KIC.
  5. Greener pastures? Keeping in mind Mr. Oiumet's background, I don't see how he would leave for greener pastures. He's already been there the way I look at it.
  6. Wow. Glad we made our Cedar Point trip last weekend over this one. I hope no one was hurt.
  7. 3:45-In reference to the metal cages- "Maybe they should grow some kind of ivy or something on them." *facepalm*
  8. So, does that sway you to or away from CoasterMania?
  9. Oh, man. I hope they have success with this. I haven't seen many positive reports about the ridership of all these city ferris wheels opening in recent years. My family did take a ride on the Pigeon Forge wheel last June, but we were one of very few. I saw an article mention the Myrtle Beach wheel was profitable, but that's Myrtle Beach. It's certainly not the midwest. Of course, they wouldn't build it if they didn't think they'll have success. I'll just have to wait and see.
  10. We'd be missing something comparable to Maverick, Gatekeeper and Valravn. I don't even count TTD since it's not open half the time.Honestly have yet to ride Valravn, but to me Gatekeeper is one dull ride I could do without completely. It's more like a nice calm ride i can take my children on once their tall enough to start riding. I thought the same about GK, then I rode in the back row. It was a completely different experience that actually compares to Banshee. Also, for all you caught up in the CP-KI debate, remember there's more than just coasters. My favorite part about CP is the Frontier Trail. I wish Kings Island still had something even close to that brilliantly themed area.
  11. I really hope there's some child endangerment charges brought on against the parents/gaurdian of that poor child. There is absolutely no way they could have "fallen" in without being allowed up to or possibly lifted up to the top of the wall around the enclosure. I would say I'd like to see a gorilla murder charge on the guardian as well, but I don't think such a charge exists.
  12. I didn't quote your post. I wasn't answering your question. I made a general statement.
  13. I don't count my coaster rides. I don't really care to say, "I rode ____ x number of times." Really, what's the point? How many people trully care that one guy has over 13,000 rides on Diamondback? How many people really care that a certain someone has over 12,000 rides on Racer? What's the difference between having an exact number and saying, "I really like ____. I've ridden it a bunch of times."
  14. But it's not uncommon for them to reveal sales or attendance as up or down and by how much at quarterly conference calls, so what's the difference?
  15. Why is it that most companies don't release attendance figures?
  16. Just keep trying. I purchased The Beast model as well and put it together earlier today. Some of the slots will take a bit of patience to get the metal into. They definitely all didn't go in on the first try.
  17. Huh, didn't know it was new. I actually had the Heinz BBQ sauce yesterday at IMS with my chicken tenders, along with their honey mustard. The chicken was surprisingly good, and the sauces were good enough. Someone please help me; what in the world does IMS stand for?
  18. I posted this just now in the decoding thread, but I'll put it here too to add a third confirmation of the previous two posts.
  19. And I would assume concrete will be poured this week, as the plan was to have WWC open for Memorial Day weekend. Whether that happens or not, there are only a few people who know. When I rode the train Saturday, the announcer mentioned WWC would only reopen "later this summer" instead of Memorial Day weekend as was previously posted here.
  20. No. Just some views of the clearing and Steve, the train engineer leading the tour, confirming that the train will have a "new experience" next year. Like we couldn't figure out that much ourselves. However, it was definitely pretty neat to experience backing into the shed on the train and looking around it.
  21. Okay, so I just noticed something bizarre. We were looking into going to Cedar Point the Monday and Tuesday of Memorial Day, but then I noticed they close at 8. In fact the Point closes at 8 Monday through Thursday all the way through June 9! Meanwhile, KI starts daily 10 o clock closings on Memorial Day (May 30). So, what is Cedar Point doing closing at 8 through June 9?! The Point is much more of a destination park than KI, most colleges are already out, and most other schools are getting out this week or within the next two weeks. It makes no sense to me. Does anyone here have any thoughts on why this may be?
  22. In the stupidity of today's world, waiting until closing leads to death.
  23. Sunlight Adventure? One must wonder if further water park enhancements or slides are planned for the future.
