Canada's Wonderland
Canada's Wonderland has quietly announced their 2015 addition today: https://www.canadaswonderland.com/what-s-new/new-for-2015-typhoon-splash-station In case this is an accidental posting and is taken down, here you go:

Three Roller Coasters ahead of their time:
Wow, sound like Revere Beach Lightning should've been one. SOB never claimed any lives and it certainly wouldn't have reopened just 20 minutes after the body was recovered.

2015 talk
I really hope our 2015 addition is more similar to VF's 2014 addition versus CP's or KBF's. You all may desperately want your Eagles back, but there is not a single removed attraction that my family of five misses more the the Antiques. I'd like to see them make a grand return in 2015 after a decade of absence. As far as location is concerned I think a good area is the back side of the tower between Backlot, Diamondback, and the carousel, with the entrance facing the front of the park and coming off of I-Street.

Ten Millionth Rider for Diamondback
Absurd? Cruel? What has he done to "deserve" these prizes more than other park guests? Well... nothing? That's the point? Remember Disney's Year(s) of a Million Dreams where Cast Members randomly handed out FastPasses, tours, gifts, even night stays in Cinderella Castle to random guests as they exited attractions? Is that cruel? It was random, just as this fella was lucky enough to get in line at the exact second he did and not a moment before or after. I don't think the young man left with some inflated ego believing he "deserved" them. It was a fun little thing to celebrate! How lucky of him to be the 1,000,000th rider, and how fun for Kings Island to bother to commemorate that and make it into a little to-do. He'll never forget that moment! Best day of his year, I'd reckon! You suggest contests to "earn" similar prizes. They happen often! See Tweet-ups. Or are those cruel because they exclude those who don't have Twitter? Should it be a Banshee Quiz of statistics where people like us have a leg up (or two)? What if we just did a lottery of all guests in the park? If you feel it's cruel that he got a basket of souvenirs that he didn't "earn..." I don't know what to tell you. Absurdity abounds. Cruelty is out there. Neither is at play here. GYK, wondering if rcwizard13 would've promptly turned down the souvenirs, the poster, and the group photo if he had happened to be the 1,000,000th rider? Certainly he would've...! ...right? Well first off, the tweet-ups are almost exactly what I was referring to. Tweet-up winners earn the prizes by following KI on twitter and then locating where Don is. These people are doing more than the average park guest who has come and decided to ride Banshee. Why not have a special Tweet-Up in celebration of Banshee's millionth rider. You could even give rid of the whole social media aspect of it and make a series of announcements over the parks PA system giving hints as to where to locate Don. The one who finds him has now earned it by doing more than just getting in line. Obviously absurd and cruel were a poor choice of words. It just seems unfair to me is all. Whether or not I would accept it had I been the rider would depend on whether or not I can think of this argument in that moment. Certainly, though, if I was park management I would not give out so much to the "single" millionth rider. I would perhaps take a group picture of everyone who was on that train with a banner, put together a press release, and have the special PA contest. Lastly, you may question why I say the whole train vs. a single rider. Well, take for instance the very first run of Banshee with someone in row 1 seat 1, and someone in row 8 seat 1. Who's the first rider? Just the person in row 1? No, they both are. So, why should that change when we get to a million, or ten million, or a hundred million?

Ten Millionth Rider for Diamondback
What should they give that rider? Nothing. I was amazed when I saw all that stuff Banshee's millionth rider got. I mean a simple banner or sign would be fine, but what have these milestone riders done to deserve these prizes more than other park guests. It seems a little absurd and cruel to me. Why not have a contest or something to allow guests to actually EARN these prizes?

New Haunt attraction near The Beast this year?
Interesting. I suppose I may have some new thoughts to sleep on.

New Haunt attraction near The Beast this year?
I have never noticed him do that. As a daily reader of Screamscape for several years now, I've only seen him say "I was right" when he really is right.

1) I have no problem with this. Once we now what is fact, why keep what we know isn't a fact on the site? 2) Can Mr. Hart really control malware? Most websites (KIC included) rely on advertisements for money. If one is noticed with malware, just report it and it can be taken down. 3) If this does go on, to me, it's just one bad mark against many good ones. Overall, I like him and, unlike Bob Avery, would love to meet Mr. Hart in person. I guess it really just depends though on what values you put over others.

I really don't get why so many of you feel the need to hate on Screamscape. That "crack staff" you refer to is a single guy (Lance Hart) who just like you works a day job. Mr. Hart then takes hours out of his time each week to sift through e-mails and amusement news sites that stretch all around Earth. He does this in order to compile it all in one easy to see place for thousands of enthusiasts to read each day without having to go and look for it all themselves. Mr. Hart also has a family of his own to take care of and, if you would actually pay more attention before hating on him, you would notice that he stays up quite late each night in order to go through all those e-mails and sites. Do you really expect him to notice a building application from Kings Island to Mason? He operates for parks all over the globe. This application was noticed by the major local newspaper who likely looks for new permits on a weekly basis (of course, only for the region, not the whole world). So, why don't you just stop hating on Mr. Hart and give his some well-deserved respect. Also, do please note that this post is directed towards many people in general. The quoted post from Terpy (who usually makes fantastic posts with great insight) is just the one that finally set me off.

Kings Island Banshee Event
I have a question in regards to the lunch in picnic grove. I have a friend going to Kings Island with me tomorrow, but he is not a part of this event. We already plan on going our separate ways at all the other parks going on, but for the lunch I was wondering if he can still come sit with me even though he won't have the meal deal. If not we'll just go our separate ways once again.

Heightened Security 6/18/14
I was at the park today (as in 6/18), as well. It definitely seemed that they were much more vigorous about checking every single bag coming through the gates than they have been in the past. In fact, I can recall past visits where they weren't checking bags at all. In addition to the checking, it seemed they were randomly picking people to scan with the wands. For example, I went in a group of five people, and only one of us were scanned. Also, the cross walk in front of Soak City had 4 or 5 guards instead of just one. None of that had really occurred to me until reading your post, though. Whatever was the reason, it seemed to have worked as there were no problems. Well, unless you want to account for how extremely hot it was, but the park can't control that. And welcome to KIC!

water park improvements
I know this was posted months back, but despite signage in the station saying otherwise, Congo Falls only requires shoes. You can ride in a speedo if you want, just as long as there's something on your feet. But swim wear is not allowed as appropriate attire in the dry park...Also Speedo is a registered trademark for a particular company's line of men's bathing suits. I have worn swim trunks and a swim shirt on Diamondback before and they didn't care... That's because the official rule has nothing to do with swimwear. It only states that shoes and shirts must be worn at all times in the park.

Cedar Point opening weekend
Please remove that photo. It is an illegal picture and there is no place for it on this site. What are you talking about? How the heck would you get someone you don't even know to not be allowed in a park based on posts on a site with an anonymous username?

Action Zone and X-Base join?
What's your source for 2018? Considering there's a question mark next to 2018, presumably meaning he only thinks not knows that is the year it expires, a source is not needed.

New Markings at Cedar Point
As TDE said above, Tony has a tendency to make a lot out of nothing. I wouldn't think too much of that comment. Perhaps everyone will want to be on it because they can see the latest on the repainting of (insert ride that needs painted).

Small things that need changed at Kings Island.
They wouldn't. Please don't try to pull that crap on here. Like BB1, I despise conspiracies.

Small things that need changed at Kings Island.
I've been worried about something happening at Kings Island a lot ever since the Boston bombings last year. Imagine if some idiot brought one of those backpacks into a full queue or to the top of the Eiffel Tower. This scenario occurred to be right after the Boston attack and I've been on red alert for suspicious bags at KI (and my school) ever since.

Diamondback restraint thoughts
After hearing how long the line has been this season, that would make me very happy. But then again, I'm the type of guy that only takes what I can fit in my pockets.

Drop Tower? (update: now open!)
^ I know. At first I was wondering what that awesome speed car ride in the backlot was before realizing it all was sped up. My guess is they currently have it going up the tower slow for testing purposes.

The Banshee Car
Does anyone by chance know of any pictures of the DB cars? If so, could you post or link them please?

Big Tan Box
^ Guys he didn't say the park will tear it down. He's just saying if you were in charge, what would you do. As for myself, I've always loved the idea of putting in an indoor wild mouse coaster or a second dark ride. I can't decide which, but I definitely think it should be used to house a new attraction.
