I haven't heard anything for Kings Dominion. The big bucks for Cedar Fair in 2015 are going to Carowinds. If KD gets something, I'd expect it to be relatively small.

^ It includes the brake run, as well. Per the released POV; the ride start through the top of the lift is about 40 seconds and the top of the lift through the beginning of the brake run is about 60 seconds; which means they account for approximately one minute of you being on the brake run. If you're on the brakes longer than that, they're either stacking or experiencing difficulties (technical or hurling).

I hope the park inspector doesn't yell at me for my free park maps being too cheap.

I really would like to know what their reasoning is. It didn't seem that the Texas incident stopped anyone from riding DB before. It just seems so random, like , "Hey, we should just randomly add seat-belts to Diamondback!" *(I realize that's most likely not the case. I'm just expressing how unnecessary this is.)

LoraX has a picture up in her trip report thread. I'll have to see how these affect the airtime. If it takes too much airtime away, Diamondback is going to suffer from a severe drop in my coaster rankings. Edit: Just read the reports in the wait time thread. Airtime is apparently unaffected, at least for small riders like me. Yay! DB can feel safe remaining in my top 3.

Personally I didn't like the checkered pattern at the top, but I do think it would have been nice if the legs still had the rings just painted to match the new colors.

I would like to see the Tower Gardens restored to its former, non-smoking glory.

I am suddenly very glad I decided not to make the trip today. High of 70, clear day, and a highly anticipated new ride opening up; sounds like a recipe for disaster. Yesterday, however, was the best day I've ever had at Kings Island.

And I suddenly realize I met you. My buddy and I were right in front of you in line for Banshee at one point. I mentioned Falcon's Fury after you were telling a story about your experience with Cheetah Hunt. Do you remember me?

When riding The Bat today I noticed there were no seat belts, but I feel like I remember them being there last season. So, were they removed over this off season or am I going delusional?

^ There are lockers located across from the entrance next to Xtreme Skyflyer available for a fee of a dollar an hour. No loose articles are allowed in the station (no bins).

After much inner debate, I decided to go with the batwing, with the inline coming in a very close second, the Zero-G in a very close third, and the rest of the ride in a very close fourth. Really, though the second half (as in Zero-G and later) is all pretty freaking awesome. The forces really pick up and the maintained speed throughout it all is phenomenal. And the slowness of the inline compared to the rest of the ride is so strange, but uniquely fantastic. I had to go with the batwing though because not only is it very fast there at the bottom, but I also felt that the strongest forces were right there in between inversions 3 and 4 and between inversions 4 and 5.

I remember a Wild Eagle billboard facing Fort Washington Way in the middle of downtown Cincy for most of the summer of 2012. They like to reach far, which one would expect when considering their location in the middle of a major tourist spot.
