  1. Wow. I already renewed my pass, but when that becomes available through the KI website, count me in.
  2. For just CP, or for the whole chain?
  3. I just checked my photos from the FOF tour at last year's KIC Revival event, and I do not have a picture of King Cobra trains. That does not necessarily mean that they weren't in there; it might just mean that I didn't take a picture of them.
  4. Indeed. The first year I had a season pass to KI (2010), I visited Boomerang Bay every time I came to the park. Since then, I only visit it once a season, if that, usually in combination with a visit to The Beach later that afternoon to make it a waterpark day. That's because not a single new slide has been installed since 2010 (and from what I understand on here, much earlier). Sure, they put in a second wave pool in 2012, but that is essentially a duplicate attraction and doesn't provide a new experience to draw me back to Soak City on a regular basis. Give me a new attraction that doesn't duplicate an existing one, and I'll happily go back there on a regular basis. Until then, I don't have a good reason to visit the waterpark regularly.
  5. I cleared all cookies from orlandosentinel.com, and I still couldn't read it. Looking a little closer, it seems that certain stories are designated "premium" content and require a subscription to view (all others are visible to the public). They offer a free subscription that includes up to five premium stories per 30 days, but it requires me to give them my email address, which I won't do.
  6. My Platinum Pass has been renewed for 2015 with the installment plan. I received a separate e-ticket for the FL+, valid on the Sunday of my choice 9/21 through 11/2. Don't know if I'll use it, though.
  7. I felt that rattle too. 8-4 is my favorite seat, but it wasn't quite as good as it usually is with that rattle. Hope they fix it in offseason maintenance.
  8. ^^ That article is buried behind a premium content paywall, so I can't read it. I can, however, read this story about SeaWorld ending its appeals of the OSHA restrictions against trainers' interactions with killer whales. I wonder what message that move sends.
  9. Invertigo is about 15 to 20 minutes. Transmitted from Wild Space via my datapad's DROID brain
  10. ^ Exactly. If anything, we're seeing a trend toward a single ticket covering both parks. I would be thoroughly surprised to see them go the other way.
  11. The problem with one-park tickets is that, not unlike the Hogwarts Express at Universal Orlando, it would require admission gates at the train station(s) and at the walkway past the Picnic Grove, which must be continuously staffed by employees throughout the day, to ensure that persons wishing to go from one park to the other have the correct form of admission to do so. Then you probably want ticket sales booths at those same locations to enable on-the-spot upgrades from one-park to two-park tickets, which means more employees. It's a lot of expense for what would probably be little benefit. I would love to see the waterpark and dry park become completely separate tickets (not just offer a waterpark-only ticket like you suggested), but it's probably not realistic.
  12. Don't forget that the majority of Haunt is in October, which is Q4. (Unless Cedar Fair's fiscal year doesn't match the calendar year, which as far as I know it does match.)
  13. Fast Lane Plus may be pretty much useless on a fall Sunday, but remember that the park is in no way obligated to give us anything with the renewal. So don't complain about it, but instead accept it for what it is: free stuff. Or as the saying goes, "don't look a gift horse in the mouth." As for the preview night, cool! I will definitely be there.
  14. That came out really nice for a point-and-shoot camera! (P.S. Don't forget to credit me for shooting the video in the first place. )
  15. ^ The best guess I can give to that question is "if you have to ask, you can't afford it".
  16. malem got a sneaky shot Friday night that's in the #WheresGoble thread. Otherwise, I managed to distract them enough to make them forget about the group photo.
  17. Happy birthday! They only use both decks on very busy days when they need to maximize capacity and have enough people available to staff both elevators and both decks. Otherwise only one deck is used, typically the top one (right elevator), though the one below it (left elevator) is sometimes used instead when it is desirable to have a roof (e.g. if it is raining).
  18. I took that bus ride from Orlando to BGT in 2012. It took about an hour and a half nonstop each way. I don't think even thedevariouseffect could pull off the drive in under an hour.
  19. The only ride that still truly makes me nervous is Witches' Wheel at Cedar Point. However, I also get nervous if I'm forced to stand on stairs, such as when waiting for a water slide. I can climb the stairs with no issue, but when you make me stand on them in one place without moving, I start to get nervous that I'm going to fall down the stairs.
  20. Somehow I got four like notifications for the same post, all from Terpy. While that could be explained by a stuttering connection or repeatedly hitting like then unlike, that can't explain this: The post in question is here: http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/29434-canadas-wonderland/page-2#entry640776 Clicking "1 other" brings up a popup that only lists one user: Terpy. Sounds like a bug to me.
  21. The second paragraph of this post contains the complete story of my entire love life. Do not believe any story to the contrary. Here goes:
