The site was down for the better part of an hour. It took three to four minutes just for it to return a 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable response. Seems to be working fine now.

It's Madame Fatale's Cavern of Terror. Not sure where "Toussand's" came from. It's a proper credit card. And yes, I've reserved on one card and paid a different way (even with cash) before. I just haven't done so at this specific hotel before.

I'm not having any problems on my laptop.

^^ I went ahead and booked it with my Capital One card. They didn't require a deposit to be paid now, so I'll try to pay at check-in with the new WPCU card when it arrives, if they'll let me (I don't see why they wouldn't).

Thanks a lot, Wright-Patt Credit Union. I just went to book a room at the Microtel, since they're already running out of rooms for that night, and I got to the end of the reservation process only to remember that WPCU is going to issue me a new credit card with a new number soon, and deactivate my current one on October 22—which is before the night I'm staying. So I can't use that card to reserve the room because I don't know if I can change the card on the reservation later, which means I have to debate between using my Capital One card that has triple the interest rate (and which I only keep for emergencies), or waiting until the new WPCU card arrives and hoping that they don't run out of rooms before then. *grrrrrrrr*

Cool! Now I have to decide whether to drive home that night and then back the next morning for closing day, or just get a hotel room for the night. I may just get a room at the Microtel over by The Beach, if I have the money.

So what woodie at Kings Island would you want to get an RMC treatment?

Yep, you're right. Full list here. -

IIRC, Kings Island is the only park that is home to two ACE Coaster Landmarks. (Somebody might want to check that, though.) -

Woodstock Express is a classic just like the other two. RMC had better stay far, far away from it. -
Sometimes lightning can force everything to shut down without ever getting a drop of rain, if an isolated storm passes close enough to be seen but far enough away to not get anything wet. I saw this at Soak City once a couple years ago; they closed everything and cleared the pools with an announcement that there was lightning in the area, and the pools reopened about 30 to 40 minutes later without a single drop of rain falling; the sun even stayed out the whole time.

VR synced up with a real roller coaster.

On the brake run, I'd assume that the video is over (i.e. it would be designed to end at the start of the brake run), and so the headset could be taken off at that point. As for lift stop, maybe the screen freezes and the word "PAUSED" flashes over the center of the screen? -
Kings Island just got a major thrill ride this year. It's almost unheard of to get two such rides in two consecutive years. That said, I would not be opposed to moving Mantis to KI, as long as it stays a stand-up coaster.

^ A little late now, but right after getting drenched on Delirium would have been the perfect time to ride Congo Falls.

IIRC, there was a whole thread about the music in the show, but I can't find it now.
-
On the other hand, I'm always happy to switch for an end seat on Banshee because I like the end seats better.
-
^ Yes, too many times I've walked into a row as a single rider, and the people already waiting there have no clue I'm even there, so it creates confusion when we try to take our seats. This is not exclusive to Banshee.

1. I don't know, maybe someone else here does? 2. Yes, just show your pass at the ticket window. The associate will scan your pass to verify it, then sell you the discounted ticket. 3. I do not believe the trail meets ADA requirements for wheelchair access, so they would have to have some other method of providing accommodation for guests with limited mobility, and I believe it is indeed a golf cart ride. I would recommend asking at Guest Services when you arrive, as they would know for sure. Hope you and your mother have fun!

2015 season passes are now on sale for $59.95. Offer end September 28. This page says there will be six new attractions for next year. Do we know what all six of those are (i.e. old attractions reopening after extensive rehab that weren't open in 2014), or does this indicate that we have a big announcement to come (hopefully not at 11:00 PM on a Saturday night again)? EDIT: What sccard01 said, plus a question.

Yes, it's the same price, but only renewals get the free FL+ and access to the preview night next year. New passes don't get those perks.

I find this contraption to be boring, but I'm glad you had fun! At 0:53, it takes a true Star Wars geek to spontaneously say Y-wing instead of X-wing. And the TIE fighter sounds were cool! I never thought of pretending that those handles were fighter yokes.
