  1. No, I have not been to Disneyland. I was hoping to go next April, but that fell through due to budget constraints. Maybe at some point in the future I'll get out there.
  2. ^ On the contrary, I think she's asked the right questions. If, as I fear, WDW eventually requires FP+ reservations like this for all attractions, you can bet money that I won't be returning. I enjoy Universal more anyway.
  3. Try again? This is trending on Facebook. Far from "little in the way of media hordes", it's instead all over Facebook. And when I go to the trending topic page on Facebook and browse comments, they are almost universally negative.
  4. malem, ohiocolts, and I rode Boo Blasters last Friday night, and there were no scareactors inside.
  5. I feared it would come to this: As a test of whether reservation-only attractions can be successful, from now through Friday, Toy Story Midway Mania is available ONLY through FastPass+. No standby queue, no separate disability access, and no ability for Guest Relations to offer a Midway Mania pass to appease upset guests. More: http://wdwnt.com/blog/2014/10/breaking-guests-can-only-ride-toy-story-mania-via-fastpass-this-week/ The comments on that article are worth reading for the personal FP+ experiences contained therein.
  6. And likely also because a significant portion of the "monstors" are not available during school hours because they are in school themselves.
  7. The summary of KIC on the home screen of my app says Find the error.
  8. Yes, all of the main park is open during the daytime, excluding those rides that are closed for the season (e.g. White Water Canyon). On Sundays, it's a great chance to marathon rides with (usually) very short waits.
  9. A report on Facebook says that the actual NO BOO sticks blink. That could be difficult to replicate. Plus while monstors may be required to honor the official necklaces, they are probably not required to do so for homemade ones. So it would be safer to spend the $5 if you're really concerned about that.
  10. It was just a temporary issue; the image above is showing up for me now.
  11. What is it? The hosting site is down, so I can't see it. EDIT: I see it on Facebook now. ohiocolts could have used that last night.
  12. It actually said "NO WAIT" for Backlot Stunt Coaster.
  13. ^ Pet peeve time: That is NOT irony. Coincidence != irony. See Wikipedia's article on irony. EDIT: Darn, next-paged.
  14. Or, considering that I hadn't been to Haunt in a year (exactly, now), maybe it was my bad memory only thinking it was normal.
  15. I noticed it too, but didn't think anything of it. KI always has a larger and more visible security presence during Haunt, and tonight's security looked normal to me. I can see how it may have appeared larger than normal, but that's likely because of the small crowd.
  16. I was born and raised in southwest Ohio and have lived here my whole life, and my father is from southwest Ohio as well and my mother is from *ichigan. "I don't care to" has always meant "I don't want to" to me. This thread on StackExchange has some discussion about it, though the OP there (along with several other sites I looked at) lists the reverse of what Terpy said (that in the South, it means "I don't mind doing it", and in the North, "I don't want to").
  17. I'm fairly certain that they do. There's a chance I could be wrong, though.
  18. How did you get to those numbers. Friday night Fright Lane was $40.00 alone, and then the ticket plus Fright Lane is $54.99 for Friday Night. That makes the cost of admission only $14.99 for Friday night. Saturday Fright Lane alone was $50.00. On Saturday you can Buy the combo for 69.99, so that would make it $19.99 for admission. I believe (without looking at the prices) that malem's calculations are the difference between a standard admission ticket at the online price, and the combo deal. In other words, how much it costs to upgrade from a basic admission ticket (without Fright Lane) to the combo deal.
  19. ...and restrooms. No X-Base work will be complete without public restrooms.
  20. And again: Did you really have to bump these polls?
  21. If I'm understanding this right, the AG is arguing in state court that the back taxes for which the park is headed to a sheriff's sale should never have been assessed in the first place, and thus there are no valid grounds for a sheriff's sale. AFAIK, bankruptcy court is not involved yet because no bankruptcy has been filed yet.
  22. http://triblive.com/mobile/6894849-96/park-sale-sheriff Interesting. The state Attorney General's office is now arguing that the park should be tax-exempt as a charitable trust, a designation given to it by the court 11 years ago and never challenged. Also, if the sheriff's sale proceeds, that trust would mean that the buyer must use the property as a public park according to the AG's office.
