Great pictures, even if it was a minor error ( I can not judge whether it was or not) I will say that judging from the theme of the building, it does look like it would belong in Oktoberfest. I can't thank you enough for the enjoyment you give me from my little breaks away from work to look at your pictures.

Seaworld's Parks: Coke in, Pepsi out
kingsrattler replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I wonder if this will also lead to a price increase (or decrease) of beverages at Sea World parks. -
^ Thanks GYK, for your insight on Sea World. I am heading down in early May (which I'm sure the lines will be longer) and was wondering how much Sea World had to offer. We have been to Universal, and love it, but decided to get the Flex tickets so we can go to Sea World, and water parks also. Now I know Sea World won't take up 2-3 days of my time

Kennywood announces Black Widow
kingsrattler replied to PhantomTheater's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Or if typed from a phone, it could be a mistyped swing auto corrected, since in fact, the fact sheet does say that the Giant Frisbees swing at 76 mph.. On the other hand, it spins at 8 rpm, not very fast at all. -
Tickets still aren't on sale

I am actively planning a trip to Orlando right now for my honeymoon in May. We are staying at a 3 star resort for 6 nights, and have flex passes to the orlando parks (universal, islands of adventure, wet n wild, aquatica, and Sea World) For the hotel and the flex passes (which are good for 2 weeks) for two people it was 1000 dollars for the stay, and includes early access to IoA, but not flash passes. You can add Busch gardens to the flex pass for an extra 50 bucks a person.

Looks like a great ride! I love HUSS's giant frisbee's. With this being similar, Im sure it will be a great ride. -

^^ I, being a Tomb Raider fan, if not for previous knowledge of knowing that it used to be called TR:TR, would not think that The Crypt at Kings Dominion as a Tomb Raider ride. I would just think it went with the theme of "the congo" where there is a volcano ride across the way. In comparison, KI's The Crypt is in the middle of "Rivertown" beside a snake, a train, and a beast. If anything a ghost town feel to The crypt would be better fitting than that of a raider of tombs.

Universal To Close 'Jaws' Attraction
kingsrattler replied to beastfan11's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
^^ Gater, not to point out the obvious, but that was 12 years ago A lot of things can change in 12 years. (Think of all that has changed at a small park at KI since 1999) I know that I went last year in October (a somewhat busy time at Universal Orlando) and while most rides there were 30-45 minute wait, Jaws was a walk on. I didn't think the ride op did bad job, but it did leave much to be desired, as did the animontronics (when a shark comes out of the water looking like half robot instead of shark). -
Personally I like to switch it up, do it in the front seat and the back seat, all in the same day. I once did it in every seat in an hour. (Riding Maverick that is. As much as I love that ride, after ride number 10 my head was starting to hurt.)
-
^Some people like it rough in the front seat.

^ Thank you for all the work you have put into these. I really enjoy all these photos you have shared. It's amazing how over 25 years an area can completely change and be hardly recognizable.

Cedar Point.. Opening Day PTR May 14,2011
kingsrattler replied to kingsrattler's topic in Trip Reports
It always amazes me the pictures that people like from my albums, because I think my Raptor shot was one of the least inspiring. I just couldn't seem to get a good shot I felt like. But I am glad you like it -
Buy Now, Pay Later is Back at Kings Island
kingsrattler replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
Have you ever bought online tickets and printed them at home? It looks the same. Basically it's just a voucher with a barcode on it that is used to get your pass at pass processing. -

Hit "Edit" on the first post followed by "Use Full Editor". Then you'll be able to change the thread title. Thanks!!! -
Cedar Point.. Opening Day PTR May 14,2011
kingsrattler replied to kingsrattler's topic in Trip Reports
My PTR has amounted to a discussion about Magnum (which for the record there is not a picture of in this thread) Yeah, IG4KI, I tried to change the topic to show it was a TR in the title, but either can't or couldn't figure out how. -
Does anyone know where this ride is at?

kingsrattler replied to kingsrattler's topic in Trip Reports
Yeah, I think the longest I have waited in recent years for Magnum was 30 minutes or so. -
You are correct, does somebody else have a ride that is set up just like the Crypt at another park using the Top Spin 2?
-
^ You are correct, although HUSS's website advertises KD's as a "Top Spin 2".
