    eek! Top gun!

I skip Top Gun a well, but I ride Flight Deck! LOL sorry had too!
  2. Man I'm getting old, I rode it for the first time in April of 1993 during a pass preview day. I was 13 years old. You do the math that makes me 33 lol.
  3. The thing of it is, when something is not maintained for how many years, it's not going to be an easy fix. Not saying it's not possible but I will take a lot of money, and I'm not sure he's going to get enough to do what needs to be done just to open the park.
  4. The Thunder Run Train has been sitting out in the elements stripped of the seats and lap bars, it will still cost quite a bit to restore that train.
  5. Racer and The Beast used to only have one bar that came down over both seats, and no seat belts.
  6. The rides were not designed to have seat belts, either was Vortex. I've ridden Vortex for 20 years without seat belts, and never felt unsafe.
  7. I think it also give the impression of the park not being maintained. If they are not maintaining the light show are they maintaining the rides? I know the rides are maintained but what does the GP think?
  8. I really don't see Kentucky Kingdom reopening. And if it does maybe as a water park only! Six Flags took a lot of stuff with them that will cost quite a bit of money to replace. Coaster trains are not cheap!
  9. If it looks as bad as it did last Saturday night, Kings Island should be ashamed for even turning it on!
  10. The Bins remind me of the Corkscrew bins at Cedar Point, they are painted the same way.
  11. It doesn't have bins, but you can still leave food and drink, large stuffed animals, etc. in the station (hand them to the restraint checker on the left, and they'll take it back to the exit platform for you), and most items can ride with you. Actually They added bins to Backlot this year. They are by the exit gate. They have 3 one for each train color.
  12. That was me who said the comment about doing it on the new ride next year!
  13. I also find the front of a car on Arrow trains to be a lot more comfortable than the back of the cars.
  14. The back you get pulled over the top of the lift, and you get to full effect of the drop. I have always been a back seat rider when it comes to coasters!
  15. I never rode Shockwave. But I Heard that was was bad, as it was the first 7 looping Arrow. Then GASM which I didnt' think that was too bad. I heard they did it right with Viper!
  16. If you rode the Front seat, you probably got thrown around a lot. Vortex has a few rough transitions. You can thank Ron Toomer for that but it's still smoother then most of the Arrow Loopers. Anaconda at Kings Dominion OUCH!!! is all I can say.
  17. Vortex is one of the smoothest Arrow looping coasters out there. I like 7-1 myself, great Air going down the first drop.
  18. No offense to anyone intended, you also have to look at the work force between CP and KI. All CP's Ride Ops are over the age of 18. KI's Ride Ops can be as young as 16 years old. I have witnessed ops at KI screwing around more often then once. I do think KI can do better with getting the trains out quicker then they do. Vortex is another ride that stacks way too often. I remember back in the day, Vortex would have another train going up the lift, and that train on the lift would be above the Midcourse break before the train before it went thru. Vortex should be able to get 1500 per hour, but I'm sure doesn't even hit 1000 with how slow they dispatch at times!
  19. I would wait to buy Fast Lane till you get the park. More then likely you won't need it on a Tuesday or Wednesday though!
  20. Where about in the train did you ride? Depending on where you rode can make a huge difference on the ride experience!
  21. And also he's not going to give the date away when they will let the cat outta of the bag. We will know in due time!
  22. I can confirm that the fence has been moved closer to the Midway, and over by the Ice Scream Stand. A new banner has been added to the fence closet to Ice Scream stand with the same phrase that was on the other banners, however without the sticker, so the mistake was fixed lol. The Chain link fence that was around Thunder Alley is now gone, and more footers are being poured in the area where the fence was moved, and in part of the Old SOB Area. I can not wait to find out what this is. I still think it's going to be pretty big!
  23. I think Fast Lane is great for people who may only get to the park once or twice a year, but for someone like me who goes quite a bit, no need to spend the money on it.
  24. Vortex still has seat belts!
