PKIVortex

Vortex is one of the smoothest Arrow looping coasters out there. I like 7-1 myself, great Air going down the first drop.

No offense to anyone intended, you also have to look at the work force between CP and KI. All CP's Ride Ops are over the age of 18. KI's Ride Ops can be as young as 16 years old. I have witnessed ops at KI screwing around more often then once. I do think KI can do better with getting the trains out quicker then they do. Vortex is another ride that stacks way too often. I remember back in the day, Vortex would have another train going up the lift, and that train on the lift would be above the Midcourse break before the train before it went thru. Vortex should be able to get 1500 per hour, but I'm sure doesn't even hit 1000 with how slow they dispatch at times!

I would wait to buy Fast Lane till you get the park. More then likely you won't need it on a Tuesday or Wednesday though!

Where about in the train did you ride? Depending on where you rode can make a huge difference on the ride experience!

And also he's not going to give the date away when they will let the cat outta of the bag. We will know in due time!

I can confirm that the fence has been moved closer to the Midway, and over by the Ice Scream Stand. A new banner has been added to the fence closet to Ice Scream stand with the same phrase that was on the other banners, however without the sticker, so the mistake was fixed lol. The Chain link fence that was around Thunder Alley is now gone, and more footers are being poured in the area where the fence was moved, and in part of the Old SOB Area. I can not wait to find out what this is. I still think it's going to be pretty big!

I think Fast Lane is great for people who may only get to the park once or twice a year, but for someone like me who goes quite a bit, no need to spend the money on it.

Vortex still has seat belts!

Whatever KI is building for 2014, you can bet the plans were in the works long before the announcement of SOB was going to be torn down. I still have my bets on B&M Giga!

I wasn't under the impression that any seats on DB were bigger than the others.

Actually the that footer was for the Q TV's that used to be in the lines!

I had so much fun, but boy am I sore today, I have several bruises as well, but it was well worth it. Will def be doing it again next year!

I think Fast Lane is best purchased at the park. Purchasing online before you visit you could be wasting your money.

Actually King Cobra was the prototype stand up from Togo.

Corkscrew at Cedar Point is 37 years old this year. And they are many other older Arrow coaster coasters still in Operation. As long as they are maintained they can last quite a long time. Vortex will be around for many more years to come, unless it becomes a nightmare to maintain. That was one of the reasons why King Cobra went bye bye, it was costing too much to maintain, I know for a fact they would do welding work to the track of King Cobra on almost a daily basics.

Large Cup Freestyle at Juke Box Diner is 4.19 plus tax. 3.99 is the normal price for a large fountain drink from a non free style machine. I need to get the new cup here soon. 99 cents is much better then 4 dollars any day!

Anyone notice that the Action Zone restrooms that sit right beside the construction area has been repainted on the outside? They also took down the black cutouts on the walls outside the restrooms that were in shape of a Man for the Mens room and the Woman for the Womens room. In place of these they put up new signs that state it's the Mens room, and Womens room. This was not done on Opening day, so this has had to happen after the park opened. Yesterday was my 3rd trip to KI for the season and just noticed this!
