  1. I was just looking at the operating calander on visitkingsisland.com, and it seem that now Haunt on Friday nights this year is from 6pm till 1am, instead of the usual 7pm till 1am. So looks like an extra hour as been added. http://www.visitkingsisland.com/hours-directions/kings-island
  2. MaXair has also the motor problems as well though. MaXair didn't open with the park in 2011 as they were awaiting a part. The ride was still shrinkwrapped on opening day 2011.
  3. The buliding it's self is damaged. You can see part of the siding or whatever it is ripped off, you can also see insulation sticking out. While on the ride in that very area that is damaged you can see light coming thru. I'm guess it happened during the wind storm. Its on the back side of the buliding, you can see it from AE lift, and going up Racer Lift and looking. I can also confirm that it was not stopping complety in the Midcourse yesterday on both of my rides.
  4. Has anyone noticed the damaged bulding on FoF? You can really see it when you are going up the lift on AE, or even if you look to your left when going up The Racer Lift. I'm wondering if that happened during the wind storm a few weeks back? Anyway while you are on the ride you can see visable light coming thru the area of the building that was damaged.
  5. Can someone tell me why MaXair runs totally different then, when it's the same exact model of ride? Also MaXair seems to swing much higher, and swing at highest swing more times.
  6. I would love to take another close up look of SOB before it's gone.
  7. Low ridership I do not beleive was the one of the main reasons, that ride still drew long lines even during it's last year of operation.
  8. Delirium hasn't ran the same since the first major break down of it's life. I wonder if Delirium will be the next Huss ride removed from the park?
  9. They already have a WindSeeker no need for another swing ride.
  10. My Kings Island Platinium Pass scanned just fine at KD, and so did my friends Cedar Point Platinium Pass. This was last October.
  11. Yep Son of Beast's Tack was all wooden, so yes it truely was a wooden coaster with a wooden loop. And true story, the loop was the smoothest part of the entire ride.
  12. KI does not need another Huss Flat Ride, they have too many issues with the ones they have/had. Skylab, The Crypt, Delirium, and Shake Rattle and Roll.
  13. I had good rides, and I had not such good rides on SOB, but something keep me coming back for more. I'm sad to see it go, but I also understand that it was time for it to go. Just think the ones who rode it we actually played a part in history.
  14. The Beast actually finished cycling guests off before Diamondback did on Saturday night.
  15. I doubt the higher ups even know what is going to be bulit in the area vacated by SOB.
  16. You can also earn a Free Fast Lane Pass at level 4.
  17. I knew that wolf pack was still going to be in it's station this fall, I was thinking more long term. I guess we will find out.
  18. I wonder if they intend to keep the SOB station, and Que ramps and exit?
  19. Since they are bring a friend tickets, I would say that the season pass holder who earned them via fun perks should have to be present.
  20. Everyone is intitled to there own opinions.
  21. I would say whatever the train rides on, if it's a wooden track then it's wooden, if it's a steel track it's steel.
  22. What is this King's Island place, It's Kings Island, drives me nuts when people put the 's in Kings, and this is coming from a fan site, the people who should know how to spell it. Sorry just ranting. I consider Adventure Express a steel coaster, and rides like the Voyage a wooden coaster.
  23. Your right, I know for a fact that it didn't close in 1983 forever, as I first went to the park in 1987 and I remember walking up to the 50 foot platform many of times. Now for some reason Im thinking it was closed off well before the mid 90's, I'm thinking it was already closed when Paramount bought out the park, but I could be wrong, if it wasn't it was shortly after.
