  1. When I first saw this, my brain autocorrected and I saw the Cedar Point logo where the KI one is (as it reminds me of Millennium Force). I really hope the announcement video takes some cues from Millennium Force’s video... Also, Banshee’s announcement was on a Thursday; I know this because I wasn’t there. I was instead was fulfilling another commitment that just so happened to be on Thursdays.
  2. Which Cedar Fair parks allow re-entry during Haunt?
  3. Good stuff; I think I was at the same showing of Gravity! Also, didn't know Beast was ever 2-9 (this is ride-op/enthusiast speak for when I ride is down) yesterday; that may explain the short wait when I got on (I expected all the queues to be filled, but it was about a 10 minute wait). EDIT: Nevermind, I think you were at the 3:30 show; I went to the 1:30 and 5 PM shows. EDIT2: Actually, I don't remember, but it's all good- glad you enjoyed the show!
  4. Procrastination is the enemy. Just do it!

Today I parked close to the walkway leading up to the park (got there around 9 for opening), so I didn't have much problem finding my car today when I left around 6.
  6. Woot! I got back from the park less than an hour ago and had a blast! I got a Zen Ride on Flight of Fear for my first ride of the day, which was awesome! Also, although the lights in the main "dome" were off, the lights in the tunnel holding the brake run were all on, so that was cool. Also rode a bunch of rides (including The Bat three times in a row!) saw 2 showings of Gravity, the Country show and ran into Chef Major! Speaking of Haunt, I love messing with people on Beast as I look over at the meat curing over in the back of Slaughterhouse. (an evil smirk emoji would be perfect lol). Slaughterhouse is my favorite and I can't see what Mama and the boys have cooked up this year. Also, I can't wait till Wolf Pack opens, if only to see The Bat from the former Son of Beast queue.
  7. Sounds good; did you have a chance to experience Forbidden Frontier?
  8. Getting back to the topic of the mural near Antique Autos, I find it interesting that Zodiac is mentioned at least 2 or 3 times in the area (most while riding the Autos). It did bother me (as I wondered why advertisements for Zodiac would be used in such quick succession), but there could also be another reason why Zodiac is referenced so frequently. Time will tell...
  9. This is unfortunate, but at the same time, I wonder what will replace it (especially since Blood Drums ran so long and seemed to be a popular staple of Haunt). Though in light of this news, last year’s show was fitting as it seemed like a “best of” show as they packed a lot of great music, both old and new, into their set. Here’s one of my favorites from last year: EDIT: Also paging @Gannersdaddy

^ Yes, that would be great for those visiting the park that don’t want to walk or drive from the hotel to KI. Speaking of, are there hotels that offer a shuttle service to and from the park?
  11. Just catching up and I’d like to say that whole trash can/support thing was hilarious! Also, to contribute to the hype music, I give you one of Ledger’s new songs (that has an appropriate title): Sorry I couldn’t find a studio version, but she hasn’t released one yet. Also, got two other Giga hype songs... “The Catalyst” makes me think of Millennium Force.

I appreciate the suggestions- I am familiar with that option to mark your parking spot on the KI app, however, I didn't know there was such a thing on Google Maps. And yes, I too write down where I parked... it makes it way easier, but it's not foolproof (like last time where I was a few rows over from where I thought I was (I was in one of the rows without a marker at the end and I misjudged which row I was in).
  13. I think the coaster in that advert is Silver Bullet at Knott’s. Also, thanks for sharing about your name, Mr. Bombay. And speaking of The Mighty Ducks, I was always a big fan of the Disney cartoon, but I’ve never seen any of the (live-action) movies.

That is, unless you can't find your car and are searching the lot for 15 minutes most visits! (This has been me countless times, though I have gotten a bit better on remembering where I parked) Also, I do remember riding the trams to the car and it was a cool concept.
  15. Maybe some code for Six Flags got mixed in with Cedar Fair's code (or it was a joke by someone)? Either way, pretty cool. Wonder if that'll work at a Six Flags park on one of those days where people get in free because they have Bruce or Wayne as their name... Also, I wonder if this has happened to anyone else or just her?
  16. That’s what I thought; thanks for confirming, PKIVortex!
  17. Doesn’t Blue Racer close for fireworks? I don’t remember...
  18. Not sure where the wave pool was in relation to Volcano (I’ve only been there once), but I’m thinking something big could span both plots of land...
  19. Don’t forget Hydra at Dorney! EDIT: Also Tantrum at Darian Lake and I think Cheetah Hunt. EDIT2: Plus both Green Lanturn coasters and Riddler’s Revenge (the SFMM coaster and the SFNE SLC)
  20. I agree; lines were not bad at all (well, except Flight of Fear's line looked crazy, so I didn't do that)! I got there around 11 and got on Delirium and Bat twice as well as Beast, Blue Racer, Scrambler, Diamondback, Invertigo and Mystic Timbers. Also got to go up on the Effial Tower, saw Gravity and enjoyed Carnivale for about an hour or so before leaving(see my thoughts in the Carnivale thread!)! Finally, I ran into a few friends, including @malem and a few others.
  21. Only got to experience Carnivale for about an hour or so tonight, but it was a blast! After the Opening Ceremonies, I tried the Crepe Monsiuer (I think that's what it's called) and it was actually pretty good- it was like a pancake with ham and gooey cheese! When I first heard the idea that ethnic food would be a part of Carnivale, I dismissed the options as I'm such a picky eater, but I'm really glad I was adventurous tonight! Also saw the drumming and got a quick dance lesson in the India pavilion, which, entertainment-wise, is my favorite. I'll be going once again Saturday for my last time and I think what I'll miss most about Carnivale when it sets sail for Worlds of Fun is that the park may not see this level of roaming entertainment until Haunt. Yes, there are the awesome shows (Gravity, the 80's show and the Country Show comes to mind), but there are no roaming characters until Haunt. Also, speaking of India, did you know there are two versions of the song "Jai Ho" (from the movie Slumdog Millionaire)? There is the version with some famous singers (which is played at the park- the name of the girl group was censored by the site for some reason) and then there is the original by A.R. Rahman and others: Also, here's another good Bollywood song that I wish they'd play at the park: -MDMC, who once went through a "Bollywood phase"
  22. Yep. Seen it twice, got to throw beads during my recent visit. While following/watching the parade is awesome, throwing the beads was so much fun! Speaking of stilt walkers, the chief with the mustache is extremely talented. Normally, those Fortnite dance moves all the kids (and some adults- looking at you Phil from last year’s version of Gravity!) are doing are so cringy, but this guy can pull off that fist-pump one... on stilts! That takes talent and I told him how impressed I was last Saturday. I’m planning to go next Saturday to enjoy Carnivale one last time before it leaves us. Also, I seem to recall a Haunt commercial/ advertisement with a stilt walking clown, but I don’t think that type of character has ever happened here.
  23. The green Dive could even be called Swoop in reference to Top Gun (The Bat)’s planned name. Also, we are taking about our daily routines? lol Finally, welcome back @Browntggrr
  24. Hey all, Island Nights in Soak City is starting up again soon! It seems to be like it will be similar to last year’s with a live band and slide ERT. Now, I know HiFi Honey will be performing at the last two nights (the event runs for three Friday Nights in July- the 12th, 19th and 26th), but does anyone on here know who the band for the first night will be. I’m hoping it will be 3 Piece Revival as they played last year (and they rock!), but I’d love to know for sure. EDIT: Here’s a link: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/play/events/island-nights
  25. I just hope Rougarou isn’t down when I go to The Point later this month. I’ve accepted that Valravn won’t be getting off the ground for a while (which is unfortunate, but at least I can get pictures!), but I’m really looking forward to Rougarou. Edit: Sorry about corrupting the quote... I tried to bold the part I wanted to reference, but that was difficult; I ended up just cutting everything except for the part I wanted to reference.
