Dang. Now you have me wishing there was a walkway underneath the helix.
-
We do. Diamondback is the tallest roller coaster in the park. The Beast is the longest wooden roller coaster in the world. Vortex had the most inversions when it opened. Drop Tower is the world's tallest gyro-drop. You were saying?
-
I've never been to the park, but was Mile High Falls considered a "staple ride?"
-
Ed Hart is a smart man. I hope he realizes two water rides, a wooden roller coaster, and a Ferris Wheel won't draw people to the dry park. To me, it sounds like he needs to market the park the best he can to break even.

If it bothers you so much, don't look at it. You need to learn how to take a joke.

Some very good pictures of The Worksite posted here. http://www.KICentral.com/photos/displayimage.php?pid=7038

I actually agree with YoungStud for once. The Vekoma flyers are far superior to the B&M ones, in my opinion.
-
Which Superman clones are you talking about? There are significant differences between the two.

Just exit the browser and your problem should be fixed. Unless, of course, if you hit the "remember me" feature.

Little known fact.. White Water Canyon is made by Intamin.Little known fact.. White Water Canyon is not a roller coaster.
-
Lol you think IndyGuy is trolling? As for the Intamin/B&M debate, both are different manufacturers that bring different things to the table. They both make coasters but are incomparable in my opinion.
-
If they do remove something, they better announce the removal with time to get last rides.

I wouldn't hold my breath until Thursday's meeting is over.

That's an awfully expensive bone, wouldn't you say?
-
I find it silly the explanation for the name change has been pointed out several times yet people seem to insist on "public outcry" and other garbage.
-
^There's also a triangular footer underneath the first drop. A triangular footer doesn't really mean much regarding coaster types because various coasters from various manufacturers use them.

In the middle of summer. Perhaps the OP thought because of the heat, fewer people would show up. A valid reason in my book.
-
Probably not in the morning as most people will be occupied by parades but I would think as the day progresses it will become more and more crowded.

Kings Island angers special-needs parents
TheCrypt replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Kings Island
I bring up my scoliosis because of this quote. As for people with extreme mental disabilities, you can't really ban them from riding a ride "just in case." Just think of how ugly it might get when they want to ride WindSeeker, when they know they've ridden it before, and can't because it "might" break down. You might as well let them ride WindSeeker because you're more likely to get off safe and sound rather than stranded 300' in the air. -
^The fountains are not 40 years old. I believe they were refurbished under the Paramount reign.

Kings Island angers special-needs parents
TheCrypt replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Kings Island
My family--including me--has scoliosis. Does that mean we can't ride anything at Kings Island anymore? -
That's why I said to my knowledge. But seriously, good point. Can anyone offer insight as to whether or not it was considered a hyper coaster at the time?
-
If you are referencing Son of Beast as Kings Island's first hyper coaster I must point out that hypers don't have loops. If you don't believe me, Terp should have my back on this one. But does that mean Kings Island got it's first hyper coaster in 2007 rather than 2009 or 1999? 2007 being when SoB reopened without the loop. I was referencing Raging Bull not Son of Beast; my apologies for the confusion. Also, Son of Beast opened in 2000 not 1999.To my knowledge, there hasn't been a manufacturer (outside of RCCA) who has tried a hypercoaster + an inversion which is where I personally believe the "hypers don't have inversions" philosophy derived.
-
This thought is of heavy weight in my mind!
-
It's been brought up before. The park counts the two inversions after the mid-course brake run as one.
