What do you think KI would get in 2020?
SonofBaconator replied to KI Master's topic in Coming Attractions
If that's the case then why didn't they just tear it down in 2013 with the rest of the ride? -
This makes me happy as an enthusiast, especially since its GCI working on it

The Amusement Park Railroad Thread
SonofBaconator replied to SonofBaconator's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Been super busy but willing to knock out some chapters, anyone have any suggestions or requests? -
From a feasibility standpoint, Congo Falls would be the best ride to relocate because it doesn't really fit in Action Zone anymore. It also might get more ridership if its near other water rides like WWC and RFYLCB where people who are already wet can go from one water ride to another.

Kings Island Nominated for Favorite Holiday Park
SonofBaconator replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island
The Cincinnati Zoo was also jyst ranked best zoo lights in America. Who would think that the Greater Cincinnati area would have some of the best holiday lights displays in the country? -

That's something I didn't consider. Could it be possible to add 6 more cars to make it 18? I'm no physicist it roller coaster engineer so the feasibility of this ever happening is hypothetical.

The only thing I want done with The Beast in terms of a remodel would be Millennium Flyer trains. I'm a huge fan of how much room you have when riding Mystic Timbers where I feel kinda cramped when I ride The Beast. The Beast isn't a horrible because of this, I'll still continue ride it for as long as I live, but new trains would make the experience more enjoyable-same goes for Vortex.

@BeastForever I agree that a B&M giga will give Kings Island a definitive top 5. We're fortunate enough that we only have few cloned rides that are still unique in their own right. Paramount plagued Canada's Wonderland with some of the worse cloned coasters ever made that are comparable to something a Six Flags park would have. @canobie#1 I was a part of the CP internship program this past summer and I couldn't believe the amount of respect individuals had for KI.

I prefer the green because it's the less cosmetically touched of the two locomotives. The blue one just seems to "colorful" for me. I like the way it used to look back in the 70s when it was originally built with blue domes and a larger smoke stack. The straight stack it currently has isn't completely accurate to the look of an 1800s locomotive. The train resembles more of a coal-burning locomotive as they had straight smoke stacks whereas wood-burning locomotives had bigger smokestacks from the ash cumulated by the wood. I've been told they modified the blue engine to give it a little more personality and individuality from the green engine but I still prefer its old look.

I'm sure the park will want to have it worked on in time for their 50th anniversary, which is also The Racer's 50th year in operation

Immersive Dark Ride Planned For Kings Island?
SonofBaconator replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Its been 3 years since this thread surfaced and it seems like the park is going in the opposite direction with a B&M being the next coaster coming to the park. I thought we might have gotten something in 2017 but instead we got Mystic Timbers which was a way better choice in my opinion. Still, with the new CEO up to bat, its hard to imagine a triotech ride such as Votage to the Iron Reef of Wonder Mountain's Guardian coming to the park anytime soon. On the other hand, we still have that big metal box in Rivertown and the orignal, albeit outdated, darkride in International Street. -
The green was always my favorite- it was the first train I've ever rode and that's the one I've ridden the most out if the two. Plus it has the diamond smoke stack which makes it look more accurate to a 1800s locomotive

Will Diamondback always be the tallest at KI?
SonofBaconator replied to skylar.heizer's topic in Coming Attractions
@BeastForever I hope we get nationally recognized for it too. Kings Island has one of the most underrated coaster lineups and I feel that the park doesn't get recognized for them as much as they should. -
Markers at Cedar Point
SonofBaconator replied to gforce1994's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I didn't specify, the entrance itself is great but there's no plaza on the inside of the park lile what you see with the Valvavn enterance. -

Its right by the resort enterance so it could be anything. Out of all the entetances in that park, the resort enterance didn't feel like it fit the CP standard. Its just my opinion but it didn't seem as welcoming as the other two and I would welcome an update. -
I thought about that actually and I'm still considering adding it

I second this confusion -
There's a TON of people sharing @RuthlessAirtimes video on facebook and twitter thinking its the real deal. I've seen @chugh43 going up to bat telling people it's just a fan video

All I asked was for people to read and abide by the TOS... I never mentioned your name or anyone else's as I wished to keep it anonymous. Threads have gotten derailed over the past couple of weeks with people's unnecessary arguments, like the one you're currently having, that don't contribute to the overall thread but rather one's that are personal that flood threads. I've been guilty of it which is why I have just given up on arguing and ignoring certain posts made by certain members as to not provoke further quarrels. The more people abide by the TOS, the more smoothly things run.
-
I feel like more I like more individuals should read the terms of service on this site. The moderators do a good job of cleaning up threads that have been derailed and making sure that everything runs smoothly. More recently I've noticed that they've been fixing a lot of threads that have since become derailed due to arguments and posts on multiple threads by members who shal go unnamed. I feel that these threads wouldn't have needed to have been edited if said unnamed members would have just abided by the terms of service like the rest of us.

To go back to the original topic I would like to see two things come out of VR. One being a filter where you feel like you're flying along with bats during the ride. The second one being a more detailed, original story that fits the ride theme of The Bat.

Still think it would be cool to see on The Bat for one season to see how it does
