  1. In my opinion I think Michigan's Adventure should receive one small scale thrill coaster. On one hand if the coaster does well and increases attendance then they might be invested in more in the future. On the other hand if it doesn't change attendance all that much then the park's got a new coaster that will hold them over for at least two decades Something like Tantrum would be perfect
  2. I believe Six Flags is moving away from joint-announcements. Cedar Fair really only competes with a handful of Six Flags parks so I don't think there's much radar blipping like a lot of people believe there is. Cedar Fair and Six Flags compete in the sense of they both have the largest collections of parks in North America.
  3. Bolliger agreed to do a giga for Canada's Wonderland because he felt like they owed the park in that respect. B&M themselves only make a fraction of what their ride costs since the main price can be attributed to the track and supports. For example, Diamondback cost $22 million but only part of that went to B&M. I'm sure exclusivity clauses are free money to them- getting paid to design less rides.
  4. I talked about this already but all again stress it, Soak City needs a Rebrand. Most water parka pull off that tropical vibe but Soak City is just a plain water park, which was fine for what Cedar Fair was trying to accomplish as they were trying to make a simple transition from Australian themes to a basic water park. However I think that much like how they rethemed Flight Deck to The Bat, I think Soak City is due for an upgrade. If you look at the Walt Disney World Resort they have two water parks that are very uniquely themed and are somewhat synonymous with the resort. I argue we could do something similar. Something themed to the wilderness would look really cool and be a nice transition to the main park with Rivertown; even better if Planet Snoopy became Camp Snoopy. This is Dollywood's water park: Splash Country
  5. I would love it if the lower deck of the Eiffel Tower would reopen but I know there's a lot of electrical equipment up there for the lights so I don't think that's possible
  6. I'm not a Worlds of Fun expert but it wasn't an original Paramount park so there might have not been as much of a demand for a winter event and thus maybe lower crowds.
  7. Seeing as they're replacing a topspin with it, I'd consider it more of a flatride even though its a coaster.
  8. What coaster was terrible? And @Browntggrr I agree. SWSA and SFFT both have Batman clones, granted one was a relocation. Fun little tidbit I believe that SWSA purposefully bought a Batman clone knowing that it would be something that Six Flags Fiesta Texas couldn't buy. I find it hilarious that Six Flags gave them one anyway. There was a loose Rumor for a while that Kings Dominion was meant to get a hyper in 2016. The whole rumor came from the picture of the park skyline on an illustrated advertisement depicting a B&M hyper with red track and green supports which would indicate that it was something for Candy Apple Grove.
  9. That can't be indefinite though. It would be one thing if BGW ordered something from B&M every 3 years or so but the park hasn't gotten a B&M since 2007. If that's the case B&M is limiting their clientele by only agreeing to work with one park, especially if they haven't sold anything to them in over a decade.
  10. If they didn't go with Intimidator 305 in 2010 they could have gotten a hyper twister model like what you see with Raging Bull at Six Flags Great America. That could have been enough to Market it as something different from a Apollo's Chariot. Now they have a twister giga so the most logical sense would be an out-and-back hyper which would basically be compared to Apollo's Chariot. So in a sense they should've gotten a hyper twister in 2010 and maybe they would have been in better shape.
  11. You could darken a room with that amount of shade. I never understood why KD never got the standard layout. Is it a space issue?
  12. Is there a park that you think is under-invested? This could be a park in a chain like Six Flags, Cedar Fair, Disney, etc or it could be an independent park.
  13. What is the number one thing that could be changed by either management or the chain that would make this park better?
  14. Cedar Point is and will always be a destination park. They're adding that Esports facility and trying to target newer demographics. They're going back to their standard practice of removing something old and putting in something new. A boardwalk themed area would certainly give more people a reason to go to the park. Wicked Twister, MaxAir, and Kidsville all occupy a somewhat dead spot of the park so it would make sense to remove them all for something new and exciting.
  15. I feel like having a Gerstlauer infinity coaster would make Valravn somewhat obsolete but that doesn't mean it doesn't look cool. I feel like a Cyclone style GCI would look good there
  16. Here's a visual example of the smoke box modifications "Eli" represents the traditional crown smoke box door while "Lew Brown" represents the modified smoke box door
  17. I feel like CF wouldn't send a coaster to sister park in the same state. Yes they did that with Firehawk but GL was shutting down. While it would be cool, I don't see CP giving KI a hand-me-down coaster.
  18. I noticed that too. Rougarou is one of the least popular coasters at CP. Its not a bad ride by any means but its popularity certainly went down these past few years. I don't think people would necessarily miss it if it goes.
  19. Eli looks like he's just came out of crown locomotive works. I hope to see what Levi looks like. @kimv1972 were either 19 or 12 ever taken off property for overhauls?
  20. The announcement of the mini dive coming to Fiesta Texas in 2022 shocked the amusement park community and got a ton of people speculating about changes in the chain. With a new CEO, I want to discuss whether or not Six Flags is catching up and how other chains like Cedar Fair respond. Cedar Fair's favorite parks don't necessarily directly compete with Six Flags (an argument can be made for Carowinds and SFoG), but what about the parks in the CF chain that do? Will we see Cedar Fair invest more in their parks that compete with Six Flags like CGA, Knotts, Dorney, WoF, and so on? I argue this might be a good strategy considering investing more in these parks, at least CGA and Knott's, would keep them competitive with Six Flags.

  21. Why not just hire a company to create a movie centered around the Phantom Theater that can be played in the 4D Theater?
