I thought it was increased weight but yeah if it would damage the track I wouldn't want to risk it. I just hate how boxed in you feel on a PTC compared to a MF. The restraints aren't as comfortable either https://www.philadelphiatoboggancoastersinc.com/ https://twitter.com/kingsislandpr/status/1091050951283261440

I want to try and take a rational approach on this. What I'm about to list is in no particular order. Current Attractions See if I can relocate Congo Falls to Rivertown to replace the Crypt building- if its not feasible cost wise I'd keep it where it is until Invertigo's service life is up. I'd retheme Backlot Stunt Coaster. (See my idea here) Bring theming back to the railroad Experiment with Millennium Flyers for Racer and The Beast Try to bring theming to ques for rides like Diamondback, and The Bat Repaint Drop Tower to orange, blue, and purple Add more theming to Adventure Express Retire Boo Blasters in favor of something more modern Work on bringing back the 4D theater New Attractions Another B&M- most likely a dive. I'm not one to take big risks honestly. Shipping also contributed to my decision A skyrocket II by premier. Like dive machines, they seem gimmicky enough to scare the GP and take up a small footprint Walk though attraction. I talked about the walk through government building that would elaborate on the A72 story. A new dark ride. I'd try and get use out of the Crypt building and dress it up to match Rivertown. A mini mineshaft drop ride in darkness would be cool (imagine it emerging from the roof kinda like Tower of Terror.) If not a drop ride maybe a small winding tracked ride that goes through different scenes. A wild mouse. I don't care where I'd put it: Coney Mall, Planet Snoopy, or Oktoberfest General Atmosphere I'd take a page out of Herschend or the Busch Parks and really focus on theming and beauty. The park has been doing well so far but I'd take it a step further. I'd dial Oktoberfest to 11 with Bavarian flags, colors, the whole 9 yards. Soak City I'd see which slides aren't doing well ridership wise and remove them in favor of more modern slides. I'd also try to get those power lines redirected somewhere where its not cutting through the waterpark. Extended Season Read this for more context Feedback? I tried to keep it as logical as possible and not go overboard.

Ideas For Better Thrills!?

I could see both honestly. That's kinda why I wish KI got a Skyrocket II, because that would be a coaster KK couldn't claim. In a perfect world KI would get both a 4D Freespin and a Skyrocket but I don't think the park wants that many low capacity coasters and I don't blame them. -

I have a weird fascination with premier sky rocket IIs. Yes they're clones but they're super unique and customizable. -

That wouldn't be a bad idea either! However if I was calling the shots I would put a Premier Sky Rocket II there (or next to Flight of Fear) -

If the antique autos didn't replace the old Flight Commander area it would be cool to see a wild mouse named Wildcat in County Mall to mimic that old amusement park/Coney Island feel. Theoretically they could still add a wild mouse coaster to Coney Mall, just place it between the Juke Box Diner and the Coney Refreshments eateries. -
There's already a fire fighter themed Gerstlauer coaster, I'm suggesting breathing new life into a ride that was heavily themed around a Paramount movie
-
I still can't believe they planned on putting baboons in the same enclosure as the lions.
-
Wow, scare-actors purposely jumping into moving vehicles and beating park property with hard pieces of metal....sounds about Paramount. Today we would call those "OHSA violations"
-
It also sits fairly high above ground as well https://www.coaster101.com/2013/08/18/Banshee-construction-update-8-10-13/

I have a cool one, so hear me out on this. Cincinnati, Ohio is home to the 1st professional and paid Fire Department. Why not retheme BLSC to a fire-fighter theme? Repaint all the trains red or have them all be tiny little fire trucks. Repaint the shipping containers next to the launch and the helix structure with a brick texture to look like a firehouse. Change the billboards to reflect Cincinnati highway signs. They could keep the fire scene and make it look like you're driving through the burning building (the inside of the tunnel could have red lights. Riders then escape the building and return to the station. They could keep the helicopter- just remove the shooting aspect and repaint it to look like an EMS helicopter. @DonHelbig @Kyle Kruthoffer I know you all come up with your own theming ideas for your rides but this would be a cool way to pay homage to Cincinnati's somewhat forgotten fire fighter heritage.

Outback is mainly an Australian term...having it said in an American park seems wrong. Backwoods or badlands would make more sense -
I think it would be awesome if Cedar Fair could purchase an additional crown and give KI a 3rd locomotive so they can operate during haunt and space out the boiler usage. I always kinda hoped Levi would make his way to KI if he didn't stay at WoF, (doubtful). I know having KI acquire a 3rd locomotive would be a longshot since they'd have to install a 3rd locomotive bay but it would be nice to be able to operate 2 locomotives and give the 3rd one a break. My argument is the train to station ratio should be 2:1. We have 2 stations so that ratio should be 3:2. Cedar Point operates 3 locomotives throughout the year (technically 4) and it really seems to help disperse the boiler hours as well as the wear and tear the engines go though- similar to how most coasters have 3 trains. Granted Cedar Point has a much longer track length than us and their two stations are open simultaneously where as Soak City is only open for around 3 months. Maybe I just want to see another train at KI
-
Compared to Six Flags and Sea World, I'd say Cedar Fair isn't too much in the hole but that's just an assumption
-
Do you think they'd consider selling off their parks?
-
This leaves some interesting questions regarding Cedar Fair: Would the chain indeed add new attractions to each of their parks every season or would they go back to mainly investing in their larger parks? Would they turn to cloned rides to lower spending or would they continue to pursue the practice of quality over quantity? Would they ever consider selling any of their smaller parks or closing them? Also some questions regarding the competing chains: Would Six Flags or Sea World Entertainment consider selling some parks? Could we see Six Flags or Sea World Entertainment try to merge chains with each other or other chains? Which of these chains will be in the worst shape when this pandemic is over?

Ideas For Better Thrills!?

I'm about to argue for the addition of a cloned coaster so please bare with me... Why I KI Should Consider a Sky Rocket II In 2012 Premier Rides would debut their Sky Rocket II model. This coaster would be cloned eight times with some if its clones having different variations like switch stations, two car variants and three car variants. The current maximum capacity for these coasters are around 750 riders per hour which is theoretically lower than Invertigo's capacity; not a 1st choice for a park that sees over 3 million guests a season. So why am I arguing for something that's capacity is less than a Vekoma boomerang? Let me give a few reasons They're extremely compact covering just over 13,000 square ft- to put that into perspective you could fit close to four side by side on the Antique Autos plot (super weird but accurate according to my calculations). Basically you can put one anywhere in the park- next to Flight of Fear, where Skyflyer currently sits, next to Diamondback's transfer track, etc. Installing one would require minimal construction in comparison to the massive projects we've received over the past decade. They're thrilling. This can be said for any launched coaster but I'd imagine the GP would love something like a Sky Rocket II. The slow inline twist at the top looks intimidating even from an enthusiast's standpoint. KI can make it their own. Most of the time the only way you can tell a clone apart is from its name and color scheme. The park has been killing it in the theming department and I think they'd make the ride stand out with a cool name and color scheme. Also, they can made alterations. Premier currently offers a model that has two trains that feature two cars that switch stations allowing for two train operations as well as two cycles. Imagine if they lengthened the ride to accommodate two three car trains to help out with capacity. This is a stretch but they could also turn the non inverting loop into a full loop to add an extra inversion (I don't know how many Gs that would pull though.) This wouldn't be made out to be our next huge investment, but rather a filler coaster. Is this realistic? Not entirely. The park has been trying to add reliable, higher capacity rides for the past decade so getting something like a Sky Rocket II might be a step backwards. I guess my argument is if a park like Busch Gardens Tampa, who pulls in over 4 million people a year, can get one then why couldn't KI? Some will argue that Cedar Fair isn't interested in working with them at the moment but I think they should always consider them an option. -

I think Soak City is underutilized during its respective off season. The park could host different events during the months that its not open. They could do the November idea like I mentioned earlier but they could also open themselves up to stuff in early spring before the park opens. The fact that its more detached from the park allows for them to be more independent and flexible when it comes to potentially hosting events.
-
They hosted the children's Halloween event in Soak City for a few seasons and it seemed to work out just fine
-
I've had this idea in my head for a while so hear me out. Also this does not apply to the Covid-19, just whenever things get back to normal. Imagine a November fall festival that takes place between Haunt and Winterfest. This event would be located in Soak City so the park could make the transition from Haunt to Winterfest and would be open on Saturdays and Sundays. There would be food stands/trucks, music, Peanuts meet & greets, beer, games, and even college and pro football on various TV screens. The train ride could also be open and would just make a loop from the Soak City station without stopping in Rivertown. Admission for non pass holders would be say $10 dollars for adults and $5 for kids with parking being around $10. Those numbers might be way to low but this is all just for fun. Basically KI would be hosting a festival. It wouldn't be meant to draw in huge crowds but it could help boost yearly attendance and bring in more guests. People camping at the new campground or staying at Great Wolf Lodge might check it out. It might also encourage more people to buy gold passes since they can do something between Halloween and Christmas events. Like I said this is just an idea I had.
