Every morning at CP, we would spray all the restraints down with our chemicals, dunno about KI, I would think they do, however I will follow up to see. I will say through the day when it's hot as hell, you can't really get over it when you have some people sitting in those seats

Wouldn't a sit down invert with similar restraints practically be like Arrow Suspended coasters?

What color would fit the name "Banshee"?
thedevariouseffect replied to Coaster Addict's topic in Kings Island
Honestly to pay homeage to the original idea I wouldn't mind seeing the current Mantis scheme on a new B&M coaster, and it actually does look really nice. However, with a ride with this theme and how KI so far seems to portray it, eh, I honestly don't know what they'll do, and curious to see the final outcome. -
Confirmed: Launched 4D Wing Dive Machine with 6 tunnels and voyage amount of airtime with B&M's first LIM Launch that they have done. Source: Sweet dreams are made of these

Yeah I give mad props to sweeps and their area sups. I know I walked countless miles that OC, and it sucked. Plus the day I did it, mad humid June, downpour with crappy raingear pushing water with a broom/squeegee, amidst picking up trash & stuff, then more humid post rain, then staying after for the live show they had in 2011. Screw that, never again haha. Being a ride sup, it's actually enjoyable because then you can bring the ride in the direction you see the crew working in. It's def. a big responsibility to not be just in charge of guests and their safety, but that of the crew and stuff too. Lots of work

Who cares...it's an internet discussion board..you letting him get to you instead of moving on is just fuel to the fire..then flame wars happen -

If members stop checking in because they get angry at an online forum of words, images, and information, I'm not truly concerned if they stay or go at that point because it seems they have a lot more going on in their life that needs prioritized. -

I look this way, said people you say are trolls just have different point of views than typical people and that's all good, no need to get ****y over it. You're on a free forum board on the internet talking about roller coaster. Find that dangly bit of stuff between your legs and man up and get over it, some people you'll agree with some you won't its whatever. He states his opinion, others flip out and take it too personal and start the flame war, and he retaliates in good fun, and then you rage quit and hit report. Its bad enough we have to have a thread here for this crap. However at least freedoms like this exist here, if you don't like it go to pointbuzz where there's more moderation than free discussion. -
Will Cedar Fair ever invest in a Winter Season?

Did no-one see the many rides aren't equipped or able part and the if possible at the end...I think I already covered this lmao -
Will Cedar Fair ever invest in a Winter Season?
thedevariouseffect replied to SonofBaconator's topic in KI Polls
That's why I said if it were even possible. It doesn't even have to be a thrill ride, all rides off season are put through NDT, manufacturer and park stated maint. This also allows the majority of work to be done to prepare for the season (gum removal, ride cleaning/painting/construction/ect.). Winter events would greatly interfere with this, also included in this is the enormous cost to run the park with probably a very very lacking attendance. If it doesn't turn a profit, the business isn't going to do it. -
Was it really necessary to quote me when I'm responding to the post directly above yours upstop

See I like the spiral up, gives a good view of everything

Honestly if it was all intmain or B&M, neither. Both companies have rides I prefer. I don't care for flyers, I like floorless and hypers, not a fan accelerators however, gigas are gigas regardless of who does them, and I've only been on maverick, no other rides similar yet. However sadly like stated, any arrow to me is always a plus. I can ride corkscrew even to this day after test riding it and still love every second of it. Millie, only the first drop impresses me and the final airtime hill, that's it. Seriously though all manufacturers have merits, so not just intamin holds the answers, not all B&M's are the best. Each manufacturer has their shining examples, but they all have flaws. Except Chance, they're nothing but problems.

Off season time is great to catch up on much needed maint, theming, construction, ect. Plus many rides aren't equipped/able to run in weather like this. Snow covered brakes, photo eyes, ect. Besides do you really want to ride a ride in that weather. Just doing a quick windchill factor calculator, if it's 32 degrees outside riding TTD at just 120, it brings it to 8 degrees. Not sure I wanna have that feeling if it were even possible, sorry -
Sweeps have the worst job ever IMO, I had to do it for a day and it sucked. Ride Sup isn't too bad, they get breaks too, I mean it could be cut short if the ride goes down loaded or whatever, but it's not terrible. Think sweeps though, rain or shine, cold, hot, ect. They're out there roving the midway sweeping, mopping, decobweb, ect. All DAY. I had to do an OC of that, it freaking sucked. They come to the park early to clean up/get ready, clean during the day, then stay a bit after park close and clean up the leaving mess until night shift comes. Ride sups, they're only there while the ride is up for their respective shifts. I've done both, and I'll never be a sweep again, ride sup, why not.

Oh he can have his opinion and I do understand why he follows this conclusion, I just disagree & throw my opinion out there. Only thing I will give intamin is the cable lift design is impressive, and I do prefer their dual platform objectives, even if they don't do a dual move like they originally intended.

Spoken well. Only thing that needs to be changed but I haven't seen Gatekeeper's panel yet I will here later in the season from a friend, but B&M control panels are a bit**. Controls for mantis just suck all around, worst panel designed honestly. Arrow coasters are my fav panels, short simple sweet.

GateKeeper Restraints

Nothing has changed, and I doubt anything will change, as all other wing fliers that were built prior to Gatekeeper/same timeframe as Gatekeeper still have the same restraints -
