  1. Good to hear, I guess I'm only there when someone at crowd deems it necessary to do such. It shouldn't really happen at all. Only a few times I had to assign seats on a coaster and that was for large groups or if we had a handicap guest/VIP I would work the rows out to easily accommodate without anyone queued being disrupted or getting fussy Assigning seats on flats, oh of course, load balancing is quite important
  2. That correction is not necessary as it was not used in the manner you think it to be.
  3. Blue Streak not a major coaster? What? Not many great Allen's are in as great condition as Blue Streak. Amazed with your views, normally I agree with you on all points, this however, very striking
  4. You sir forget Twister, Corkscrew, Blue Streak, Maverick, and Gemini I usually share your thoughts..but wow..that's a bit drastic my friend.
  5. CP is not running out of space If anything they have am easier terrain to do more with than KI's undeveloped ravine IMO
  6. I vote renaming First Aid with his name. It's where people with cramps go when they're down for the count, quite fitting.
  7. Nice reversal, most impressive
  8. No wonder you smell
  9. It's not extremely popular in terms of those, however it does pull numbers trust me there. Plus being a B&M in that park alone it moves numbers. One train wipes out the station and it takes about 2/3 of the stairs into the station
  10. There are many that feel the same way, I myself am somewhat included. I may ride it, I may not, it's not a must do attraction for me. However the ride does draw a line and many do ride it, and some it is their favorite coaster. It obviously has done something right for them to keep it this long, give it great TLC, and keep it there.
  11. I have myself heard the rumor of Mantis getting a conversion, however like before I doubt it will happen. It's in the same boat as The Bat/Flight Deck removal rumor that circulated here for years. There are many many problems that come with the conversion. The whole station will need a redesign to feature the floorless features, restraint releases, etc. Some things would carry over I'm sure such as the prox system would probably not have any issues, nor the lift hill. However the MCBR will probaby need adjustment, along with the final brake run as the trains are probably lighter I'd imagine and would be affected by the braking needed for a stand up train. Then lastly you have a whole PLC revamp for all the new systems in place, new controls need implimented, and a full retraining of the ride as no returners will have knowledge, and full timers will need it as well considering it will basically be a new ride. Lastly look at the idea. Lets take an old ride that has been standing & gets ridden still to this day and has recieved significant ROI at least IMO, but lets spend alot of money on a retrofit that honestly no enthusiast knows will work. Especially the high tolerances and laterals that B&M stand ups are designed with. Could it happen, of course, but do I see it happening, not at all. Honestly looking, putting new trains on a ride and calling it new doesn't seem very Cedar Fair-ish. It seems more of a Six Flags kind of thing to do. Just my two cents
  12. I saw your posts on Pointbuzz. At times they can seem a bit rowdy trust me, however they are mainly nice people. There are a few bad eggs, but they are here as well. Will I say they were out of line on Pointbuzz, no, were they direct, yes. Do I see where you could get that perception, oh of course I do, I've been in your shoes myself. The crowd there honestly will be mainly pleasant, however again, there can be bad eggs. Theres always that one guest thats just angry to be angry and you can't do anything to make happy. It happens for some odd reason. Go up there and enjoy the park, you will have a blast I promise. Ride everything you can and make your own opinions!
  13. I would love to see another new wooden coaster that is a true woodie. However, as you states yes that's the case, they just don't want em anymore. If another woodie does hit KI, don't compete with The Beast. I'm tired of seeing the SOB, or Beast this that, etc. A coaster doesn't need records to be great, just make me a great ride and let it sell itself.
  14. Second fountains & railroad..been there done that How on tower, even Lindz gave me a puzzled look
  15. Same company responsible for several other shows within the chain, I'll send you their stuff via FB
  16. From another site, actually made me think for a second. Could it be for KI, oh of course, I'll let y'all do the speculating, I'm done with those games. But someone from another site did have a point..French word, French theme..CW may get it, which is a logical possibility. I'll let y'all keep speculating, me, I'll just watch and wait. Or get my own Blueprints and look em over, really nifty documents
  17. Turnstile would tell you right when However, it's accuracy isn't as good either, with kids spinning it twice here or there, etc. Some ops on plat I've seen spin them out of boredom, walk through them to a position, etc.
  18. Oh I'm not going to reproduce, I'd just like to see it. Or are you in reference to the picture?
  19. Every position does have a set of functions and processes it must complete in order for the train to advance/dispatch as intended. I agree there. However, are rides running at their best efficiency through these processes? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. That's my problem with operations this year. Times the crews may seem like they are busting ass, and they are. Banshee crew yesterday was moving quite cohesively through the day. Most notably was a taller female there, I forgot her name to put in good word, but she really had hustle. Many a times she finished checks first and really watched the platform and made sure everything was flowing well. However Diamondback has sometimes been what I refer to as a zombie crew. Lifeless, no flow, no speed, and just seems out of it. From a confused op at crowd trying to assign seats leaving empty rows and spots on the next train (why only load one train in station??),a few load ops trying to organize purses on one arm with the new policy, and really seem to check at their leisure. All I ask is keep everyone safe at all times, that's the job, that's all it entails. However please be efficient. If safety checks need to be that long for something, sure ok (see Skyscraper @ CP, it takes a bit of time to get it right & cross checks). However a clamshell lap bar restraint with retractable seat belt does not take long, nor are there cross checks other than controls. Keep efficient, it's not hard to move with a sense of purpose. Just keep em safe and keep the line moving. B&M basically hands you capacity on a silver platter, I don't know how that seems to have failed the past two years with the DB crew.
  20. I just love how they'll show a corner of the whole blueprint but not the whole thing. Ah well, I'll just got buy one for myself again
  21. Or Rock and Roll Forever apparently to someone yesterday..lulz
  22. Rogaru..a wolf And Wolf Pack.. Interesting
  23. No power hours ever. Run safetly but efficiently. If you keep a constant pace, bust ass, and do it correctly with no margin of error, no issues. Then no complaints either from me. If the crew busts ass and a stack happens because of an article or large guest, etc I understand the issue. However when I see they stack because they just aren't moving and dragging on, etc. I critique.
  24. Exactly my point. Let people eh smart and do it themselves. If they don't coax someone into a row, don't assign. It's easier to fill a station, hold back the line for a minute, and assess where you need a single rider, small group, etc.
