  1. I might be going today.
  2. With Matt Ouimet as CEO, I expect that they are fixing the glockenspiel up, because of what they have been doing at Kings Dominion with the singing mushrooms and floral clock. Completely removing it, destroying the German theming, would be very Dick Kinzel of him.
  3. That's disappointing to hear about the carousel organ. I was expecting it to be ready by opening day. I hope they get it in later during the season.
  4. I couldn't go to the park today. I saw on Facebook, though, that the park had removed the glockenspiel, clock, and all of the theming from the front of the Festhaus. Is there any word on that, or what they're doing?
  5. Are the rails manufactured by S&S? Because it seems like a difficult job to repair the track for an Arrow coaster.
  6. *was coming into the skyride station. I mixed up the tenses.
  7. ^^^ That was the first time I was ever aware that the Mushroom's ever existed, when George Segal is coming into the sky ride station. "Hello to Yogi, hello to Boo Boo, hello to Scooby Doo."
  8. I remember them from the Paramount years. I saw them around the Eiffel Tower.
  9. A new set of Antique cars and an Eli Bridge Ferris Wheel to replace the Basketball game near The Racer along with a renovation to Coney Mall, to resemble the old Coney Island a little more, would be pretty cool to see.
  10. I think with the addition of Banshee this season, I don't see anything major coming in 2015. But it is possible that a new flat ride or so could be added, in addition to a possible Royal Fountain show and International Street restoration. Hopefully the park gets a Tilt-A-Whirl, or even a new Cuddle Up for Coney Mall.
  11. I never got to ride the original eagles, but my brother and sister did. I would love to see the original set return to the park. The Italian Job(Backlot) was not worth the destruction of the Antique Cars and the loss of the Eagles. The only pairs I have been on were the ones at Strickers Grove and Holiday World.
  12. Where was the Titanic exhibit located?
  13. I have one question. Was the sky ride the original from Coney Island, or was it a new set? The sky ride at Coney had three main towers, while the Kings Island one had four.
  14. Intamin AG has had a lot of coaster issues. But with flat rides, such as Top o' Texas tower at the Texas State Fairgrounds, Lex Luthor-Drop of Doom at Six Flags Magic Mountain, rides recently built and soon to be built, Intamin will not go anywhere, anytime soon.
  15. A reproduction of Kenton's Cove would be great for Rivertown. The only problem is that it was built by Arrow, which is now defunct, unless S&S power still manufactures these rides.
  16. I have passed the old Chester Park site many times. It's near Spring Grove Cemetery in St. Bernard. I guess I'm a little late.
  17. The floral landscaping in the park was great back then. I especially love the bushes along the Royal Fountains in that one picture.
  18. A second webcam was set up near Banshee's second loop.
  19. I would like each area of the park to receive thematically appropriate background music. There were a couple of times last season when I was walking through International Street listening to Taylor Swift's "Trouble" over the speakers. Great song, but it doesn't fit well with the European theming.
  20. My brother really liked the Trabant. It looked a little dizzying to me, so I never rode it.
  21. I enjoyed the Paddle Wheel excursions. It was a nice little ride in the middle of the park. If they wanted the parks to benefit to families, that ride should have stayed.
  22. I missed the band organ so much. I still remember when it played the Wabash Blues after, at least, eight years of it not working. Was the restoration of the organ a decision the park made, or was it Ouimet's decision?
  23. Nice to hear that the International Street buildings have been updated a little more. It's also wonderful to hear that the Starlight Spectacular has finally been retired.
  24. I literally stay up there for almost my entire visit there each time I go. It's just impressive.
  25. The idea of retheming Action Zone to a haunted area is interesting, but a few of the rides are out of place. Congo Falls, for example, is more of an Adventure themed water ride and, unless the water were dyed red like blood, it would be out of place in that area. I personally would prefer the old Adventure Village theming in that area again over a scary horror re-theme.
