Carowinds Windseeker Malfunction

^Insert commercial of people sitting side by side in bathtubs. -
It's funny how so many people love KI's dinos, yet go to PointBuzz and almost everyone is hating on CP's version. Granted they're both different and KI's is in a more secluded area of the park, but it seems like CP fanboys are more eager to get rid of it than KI fanboys.

Maybe Cedar Fair should have gone with those after all... -
Where would you find an old wing rider? And Terpy does it again. Ah, I love this site.

This. The lady grilling and serving the turkey legs, like you said, is probably one of the nicest people I have ever met. Plus the Turkey legs were amazing! Hot, tender, delicious, and I could keep going on and on. Be sure to get one!

Am I the only one who thinks 4D coasters are gimmicky and would rather have a plain old wing rider?

For those of you with issues with wingrider restraints: Before the train is dispatched, hold onto the OTSRs like you're holding onto the chains of a swing. Keep them pushed slightly away from your chest and hold on to them for the entire ride. If I do this I have no discomfort at all, but if I let go or don't hold onto the vest like that, my collarbone really starts to hurt.

Oh, no. I thought all the Board to Death discussion was in a different thread!
-
I don't see it lasting more than 5 more years. But we'll just have to wait and see...

It's interesting how he keeps saying "The Bat" instead of "it." Clue or diversion?

Or you could do what PointBuzz did for the offseason tour last year. Charge admission, but give all proceeds to Give Kids the World.

I signed up for the KICLUB texts. And now that I've thought about it, I wouldn't mind having a coaster with blue supports. If those supports turn out to be going to KI, what do you think the track color would be? I still think purple track would look cool, especially along with blue supports.

Death at Six Flags over Texas

Some people may complain about them, but they should realize it's for their own safety. It's better to be safe than to run the risk of injury or worse. -
^^^See, that's where classification could get interesting. I still call WT an Impulse, even though it technically is an Inverted Hyper. These classifications can get way too complicated than necessary at times, so sometimes during discussions like these I just try to slowly back away
-
If this new rides turns out to be and invert over 200 feet, I'll call in an Inverted Hyper. If it's an invert less than 200 feet, I'll just call it an invert. If it's not an invert but is between 200-300 feet, I'll just call it a hyper. People can call it whatever they want, but if it's a combination of an invert and a hyper, then I personally will call it an Inverted Hyper. I don't care what anyone else wants to call it or what their definition of a certain type of ride is. Everyone has their own opinion and that's what matters.
-
If it's over 200 feet, why not call it an inverted hyper? Might as well give the ride its own classification.
-
It's probably a water ride.I saw a Skelton bored on a bored hence bored to death Bored on a bored? What?

Yeah, I will admit MS is rougher than Corkscrew. But I still think Corkscrew is rough. I even think Gemini is starting to get rougher and bumpier, but I'd be sad if the park removes that ride any time soon. Plus now we have so many newer coasters that are as smooth as butter, so a lot of older rides probably seem rougher once you ride a smooth new coaster.
-
I stand corrected. I'm surprised there are that many, but I guess I've never really thought of any invert with so few inversions. Thanks for clarifying silver2005.
-
Oh, no, not another Corkscrew lover! I just think it's boring and is rough. The worst parts about Corkscrew are...the Corkscrews! With a new family looping coaster, the park could keep the iconic corkscrews over the midway, but give it a longer ride time, make it more exciting, and best of all, make it smoother.

Not that I know of.

^That's for sure! Sometimes it really drives me crazy, but that's alright.
