Oh, so basically if you are apart of or have outside interest in the amusement park community but also don’t want to reap any repercussions with giving your honest opinion. You just post here and make KIC look bad instead?

Being that you are so passionate about PR and the Comms problems with at KI. Why don’t you and Don make it a subject on Tower Topics? You can cover the issues from this season and those in years past. I think it would be great to get some insight on the subject.

The station wouldn’t actually replace the current gate, instead it would be in front of it. Therefor keeping international street still hidden.

Because of the positioning of the round house the train would be going downhill from the Main gate station heading towards Soak City and Rivertown. From what I’ve measured there is roughly over 1600ft of space between the first turn from the Soak City station and the walkway of the main gate area. I don’t think the main entrance ceiling is 20ft above the walkway more like 12-15ft. Which with that amount of space should equate to roughly a 1% grade. Should be doable, but then again the train would be descending from that direction.

I didn’t mean changing the effect the entrance has. Just changing the parking lot side we see. It’s very underwhelming. The Magic Kingdom train station does the same effect our current entrance does. Disney’s is just much better looking tho. they wouldn’t even need to tear down the old entrance, other than just having a train station being added to the parking lot side of it.

I know there is a decent amount of support wanting a coaster to interact with the front gate but in my opinion it would ruin the atmosphere of international street. I’ve always loved the idea of having easier ways to be transported around the park, and what better way to do that than incorporating a current ride Kings Island has, as well as changing the look front gate. As much as it would pain the coaster enthusiast. I think they should greatly expand Kings Island Miami Valley Railroad. What are you thoughts on this? Yes that is the Magic Kingdom station. I sent the Mouse packing, and placed the floral clock in his spot.

Busch Gardens Tampa just recently removed its Wild mouse coaster last month, I wonder if this has anything to do with it..

Let me make an easy example of what people are trying to convey. Take the local fire department for example. They are funded by millions of dollars in taxpayer funds. Their job and are paid to provide emergency services. Now ask yourself why would they be participating in local parades using gas and putting wear and tear on specialized, million dollar apparatus, when they are paid to respond to emergencies? It’s about building a good relationship with the community (customers) that they serve. If the fire department has a bad relationship with the community, they will have a much more difficult time to receive the needed funds to operate. Whether that be unable to pass a fire levy, and or the department is defunded. (Google Minneapolis police) So take for example this crane company, getting a large sum of money to do work for Cedar Fair (Customer). They’ve probably worked on previous projects (funds) for Cedar Fair (customer) prior, or have hopes in building a good relationship with Cedar Fair (customer) in order to be offered future projects contracted (funds) to them in the future. The crane company more than likely is willing to take a small loss and providing a crane for show that is more than likely not making them any money to help keep a positive relationship with Cedar Fair (customer). Yup, reimagining the ride was a no brainer. It should be more reliable and they were able to break multiple world records in the process of converting it. The reason for wanting to grab all the media attention and trying to sell it as “new” is simple. Gotta sell hotel rooms, that’s the real cash cow.

All you need is enough gas money to make it home.

I’m assuming they got a lot of new prestige pass holders that were previously platinum pass holders. Maybe people are seeing the cuts the park has been making, and are now supporting the park any way the can to can reverse those cuts.

Here is the benefits I get with my platinum pass with Seaworld / Busch Gardens. I paid $443.71 Which cost wise is about the same as Prestige Pass with the all park add on. Some of the details of the perks aren’t shown. The free parking is preferred parking (subject to availability.) As you can tell you get hosed by CF. I wonder how KD’s prestige sales are doing being so close to BGW. Feel free to send CF this screenshot if you happen to get a survey about prestige passes.

This is the way. I assume they’ve learned a lot from Walt Disney Imagineering. They should be experts at this point with family coasters. Smart move on CF for picking them to build this next family coaster.

Vekoma has been doing business in the US for a while now. They’ve had a pretty strong relationship with Disney. It’s just now that Vekoma is willing to take on the low hanging fruit jobs again.

Just renewed mine, did everything the same except going with the premium drink plan.. I added the all park since I was already a platinum pass member. I don’t plan on switching cards next season so I’ll keep using my platinum card. Who knows maybe it’s worth money now lol.
