In fairness their Gold Pass is twice as much as a Gold Pass for Kings Island.

Top to bottom painting is basic knowledge when it comes to painting. Gravity is always present. I’m sure they have their reasons. Maybe it is faster or as you say “efficient”. Which could be a cost savings measure if that’s what the client wants. Time = money. https://www.hgtv.com/how-to/home-improvement/15-painting-tips-to-paint-like-a-pro

NRCMA Receives Ottawa Steam Locomotive

It’s been a couple years since I’ve rafted the Gauley. The last time I rafted it with my rafting friends we had a bad experience, almost capsized on the first group of rapids. Got stuck on a rock right before shipwreck. (Massive undercut). So I haven’t been able to convince my friends to give it another go. We still make an annual trip to the New River tho.

Did you kayak the Gualey River?

Top Thrill 2 train to be unveiled

Will you be attending? -
I think it would be better if they ditched the whole 12 days of Christmas theme altogether. The route is currently poorly decorated. Another issue I have noticed is a lot of times the 12 days of Christmas music does not sync up with the theming. Sometimes the train outruns it or is not moving along fast enough to keep up. Nothing against the crews working the locomotives. Steam Engines are just live, breathing, temperamental, beasts. I would like to see them add much more decorative lighting to the route, and stick with more traditional Christmas music. Another nice touch would be adding cushions to the seats to insulate from the cold. This can easily be achieve by straps tied into the cushion to secure it the train. Here is an example of what the route could be:

I’d like to know if it was your idea to call / market Orion as a “Giga” coaster. I’d also would like your opinion on Orion vs the other Giga coasters in the chain. And your opinion on if we will see Giga additions to the legacy SIX parks now that they have merged with CF. -
Now that I put more thought into it, I believe that’s how Coney Island maintained a dry side because they were cheaper than Kings Island till Kings Island priced them out. I wonder if hypothetically did increase the price of gold passes that we could see a rebirth of Coney island dry side.
-
Well after the comments made by Six Flags CEO that could possibly be a thing in the near future.
-
To put it in even more perspective I am getting four tickets. One for each park at Disney World. For the price that it is going to cost me, I could enjoy a whole season of flavor infused water and chips.
-
Exactly. I’m going to Disney this winter and 1 ticket cost as much as a gold pass.
-
I concur that given the price of gold pass over the years that it hasn’t been priced in relation with inflation. It should be at least $30 more. Yet instead of increasing the pricing on passes, they opted to reduce hours. I’m not sure which option I would rather have.
-
Fast passes just became more valuable.

That’s because Cedar Fair picked the Amazon Free No Rush Shipping option so they could earn a digital reward.

What has Bassoul done to ruin the Six Flags Brand? Other than trying to make it a more premium brand like Cedar Fair?

I don’t think having DC integrated at Kings Island is a bad thing. The only bad that can come from this, is if they did what Paramount did and plop themed rides down in areas it doesn’t fit. Action Zone is a perfect candidate for a DC re theme. That area has no theming cohesion, and would benefit greatly from such. Like others have said in regards to Action Zone, it really can’t be worse.
-
Future topic for the Attractions Group?
-
I think it would be a smart use of their IP to re theme Action Zone to DC Universe. Action Zone needs a theme change badly. I agree with you tho that the DC themed rides should only be found in the DC Universe area of the park. That was the mistake Paramount did by placing their IP’s all over. Tomb Raider - Rivertown, Italian Job - Coney Mall? Those IP’s didn’t fit their area’s at all.
-
At this point it’s up in the air which IP they plan on keeping. CF had the opportunity to keep the Nickelodeon IP yet they opted with keeping PEANUTS only. I can’t picture the merger company keeping both IP’s it’s redundant and probably not worth the additional cost.

The Bat - The Flight of the Dark Knight Much more original than Batman: The Ride which is used by like 3 other coasters.

Gotta love a blue light special.

That’s basically a coaster.
