holiday world selling train and no timberliners
Tr0y replied to YoungStud's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
millenium force, TTD, Gatekeeper, Mantis, iron dragon, and raptor from what i seen later in the day ( about 6pm, 3 hours before close )had train cuts... I was in line for millenium force, and It was painful to watch red train, transfer onto the storage track... From all the times I've been to Kings Island and Cedar Point this year you can tell there is a difference in how things are done. -
holiday world selling train and no timberliners
Tr0y replied to YoungStud's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Running one train reminds me how Cedar Point cut the third train for millennium force and Gatekeeper the other day, is like they want the lines to be an hour wait... My thought was because they are trying to keep in the park longer which is smart business thinking but screwed up if your the one standing in line. -
holiday world selling train and no timberliners

If that were to happen i bet that Cedar Fair will end up buying the park and add a flag over i in holiday, with the addition of a b&m coaster being built that same year. -
holiday world selling train and no timberliners

I don't see why so many people have to be a wussies about wooden coasters, i rode the voyage backseat and i thought it was a awesome ride, its in my top 5 coasters.. It would take holiday world 1 offseason, some capital , and a phonecall to have this fixed.. Call intamin for prefab track or get Rocky Mountain construction for toppled track or iron horse replacement.. There just beating around the bush. -

Holiday world will never be the same without Will Koch. -
uncomfortable ride experience on a B&M coaster!?? What planet are you from?
-
The new restraints are going to make your collarbones scream like a Banshee, i don't care what has been said about Gatekeeper was going to get its restraints fixed, its the ending of the season and the restraints are still uncomfortable. Im starting to believe its not going to be fixed..

Fight deck is more forceful than iron dragon but iron dragon has length.

Mean Streak Upgrade for 2014?
Tr0y replied to RideWarriorAP's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I think mean streak is at the end of the road in its lifetime. I would rather see Cedar Point get a new woodie in the future. -
Sounds like my day at Cedar Point no wait was longer than 20 mins except for maverick.

Someone told me that the future is riding on millenium force.

how many people in 8th grade would care about roller coasters?
Tr0y replied to CP&LERR Fan's topic in KI Polls
Jaded much? yep Kings Island has got boring, probably because I've been there way to many times this year. -

To be honest in 8th grade i hated roller-coasters, they mad me sick to my stomach looking at them and riding them ( especially the first drop ), the biggest coaster i was riding at that time was The Beast, now years later I have rode a multitude of big coasters at different parks.. I look back now and realize Kings Island ain't got squat, and that i was riding the best coaster at Kings Island all along. The Beast -
i might need a face mask next time i ride front seat on millennium force at night, i was literally a 90mph human gnat swatter.

i never mentioned intamin being the only way Kings Island can expand, i was mentioning how Intamin are risk takers and b&m are safe players. I choose b&m and intamin for comparisons because they are very well known manufactures ( especially on this forum ) Maybe i should also talk more about arrow that was another manufacture who took alot of risks...

Ya and they have seemingly looked the other way from what history shows.. if Cedar Fair keeps playing it safe with its investments Cedar Fair will never grow. Look back on Cedar Points history what truly made its mark was the fact that their coasters pushed the envelope in the industry, first hyper, giga, and strata coasters were at Cedar Point. Same deal with Kings Island they had the first stand up coaster, first LIM launch coaster, first hyper looping wooden coaster.. .But guess what those brought people to the parks and the parks grew as a result.. Where some of the investments not so great yea, Cedar Points Top thrill dragster, and Kings Islands Son of Beast would fit that bill. But the park wouldn't be we're it is today without those innovations and risks... B&M to me is the safe path that Cedar Fair is currently trending in, not saying its bad but you can't grow if you keep playing it safe, you gotta have some balls.. there needs to be a balance between getting safe coasters ( B&M ) and risky coasters that will help the park grow ( Intamin ).

I'm calling this the quote of the week. This could shut up most of the Intamin lovers on here. (Not that its bad to like Intamin). . Im sick of the die hard Diamondback B&M lovers bashing intamin for trying, B&M coasters are not that special, half there designs were stolen from giovanola. Along with the lackluster innovation going on at B&M'.. the invert coaster and dive coaster are the only things b&m brought into the coaster world. And that was back in the 90's... the winged coaster is a arrow 4d train were the seats don't spin. B&m have yet to make there own launch system (incredible hulk did not feature there own launch system), launched coasters been around for decades, first giga coaster they built a decade after the first giga coaster was built, ( a project that they refused initially, b&m must be afraid of heights) with the addition of there coasters laying on the trim brakes, and dragging out there elements, its almost as if b&m has no confidence in its engineering team.. Intamin has its reliability issues, but for a manufacture that try's to catapult coasters into the future you got to give them the credit for trying.

This name is most appropriate, works perfect with the teaser video! The death was SOB, not the B&M! Not sure what you mean by "second b&m death"? the death on dominator, train pulled into station with unconscious person, rushed to hospital and they ended up dying from a ruptured brain aneurysm ( brain bleed ) its hush hush tho its a b&m coaster... Unlike the 2009 Son of Beast incident that was all over the media. About a lady that 2 and a half weeks later ends up with a brain bleed and claims it was Son of Beast.. And cedar unfair ends up shutting down Son of Beast and eventually demolishing it even tho it was operating normally...

Invertigo has a fairly new coat of paint on it, I'd be surprised if it was moved.

the problem with that is that they will be preloaded, its not like you can keep building up debt.
