My first coaster ride was on AE, my dad convinced me to ride and even tho I was scared I didn't cry. ( at first ) we reach the first lift hill and while looking to my left I see this huge wooden structure with a loop. ( SOB ) and not thinking much as a kid I thought both the rides were connected and we where heading that way. Than I began to cry, my dad laughed the till the end.

And Adventure Express

I saw these 2 crying kids being forced by their mother to ride Diamondback. They left the station crying, and soon returned smiling ear to ear. Just like mama bird teaching her chicks to fly, it's called tough love..

Probably, but you will forfeit your 2015 pass. Call and find out.

Hopefully we will see a fully refurbished Monster, but if anything the park should refurb the Adventure Express, the coaster in its current state has been very neglected.

KI is still lacking deep fried cheese on a stick.

KK is getting more attention on here ( a forum for a park they are trying to compete with ) than their own FB page.

My guilty pleasure would be Intamin coasters, they have a bad rep as far as reliability, and capacity. But when I need that extra thrill. I make the trip up north to get my fix. It's well worth the time and money.

...hence why I prefer to pay full price for each drink. (Well, minus the 10% Gold Pass discount, anyway.) Not to mention pay for a locker just to ride one coaster.

The park is making money. I worked in fast food and the paper cup cost more than the Soda it contained. ( cup was .25 cents ) Considering they are charging you about 5 dollars a soda ( not suvineer cup ) they are making a large amount of profit from drinks that are not included in the meal plan. Even if you got a suvineer cup they charge you $15 dollars just to get one and for every drink you buy afterwards they are still profiting at least a dollar, and if you plan on riding Banshee they are going to make profit from the locker you rent. Also the park is paying for the for the cost of making the food itself. The majority of options in the dining plan have cheap food cost, ( IE pizza, spaghetti, chicken, rice, hotdogs, bread, ext. ). And from the looks of it from above post. People are now spending money and buying things that they wouldn't have without the plan so the park is profiting. It's keeping seasonal guest in the park. Which accompanies a lot of Kings Island attendance. There is also lucrative dining plans for tourists. Other than the cashier and line issues, I'd say this meal plan is a big win for the park.

The mist / fog effect adds a really nice touch to the werewolf theme being over water.

MAY 12th report. The day started out bad at the park after having to deal with the ticket booth for upgrading my gold pass to platinum was a nightmare. When I approached the window and asked to upgrade my gold pass to platinum. ( I did not have my pass card with me ) The employee then had an attitude and through up his hands, as if I was asking him to do something off the wall. He then proceeded to call the manager. The manager showed up, she was very calm and laid back. After doing her thing, I handed the employee a 100 dollar bill for the $81 dollar upgrade and then he directed to get registered again because they were unable to bring up my information from my current gold pass. After registering again I was directed back to the same window, I asked the employee if he had my change and he stated "he already gave me the change" in a agrivated tone of voice. I then had to transfer my season meal plan, over which I then upgraded to a platinum season meal plan and paid for that upgrade. All in all I walked away shorted $19 and a pen that I forgot to give back. You can say the most expensive pen I ever bought, and it wasn't even a Kings Island pen.. Frustrated I proceeded to the park and went directly to Chick Fil A, I ordered my regular sandwich meal ( first meal on the menu )and added a regular sized sweet tea. I handed him my pass and my credit card. I got distracted by my friend, and looked away. Got my meal and sat down to eat. Later on I noticed in my receipt that I was charged the full amount for the meal. ( I guess it doesn't show up when your pass is scanned.) that was frustrating, but the food was great. From there me and my friend proceeded to Diamondback and made our way around the loop, getting on rides as we go. Everything in the park was a walk on except for FoF and Firehawk which only had one side of the station operating with one train.. After we finished Action Zone, I stopped by the festhaus for some Panda Express. I ordered orange chicken, steamed rice, and opted my second entree for crab Rangoon with a Coke. The steamed rice was extremely dry, and had a little bit of a overcooked crunch to it. The orange chicken was fantastic, and my crab Rangoon was good as well.. My friend and I ended up leaving the park early due to our schedules so I unfortunately had to miss the 5pm Beast tour. I left the park having mixed feelings about what happened earlier.

RUMOR: According to In the Loop, Kings Dominion will be adding a B&M coaster, because the exclusivity rights from Busch Gardens and B&M expire. As per rumor, This would unfortunately comes at the price of a coaster removal. The coaster appointed, ( according to the rumor ) would be Shockwave the last TOGO standup coaster on the continent. And one of the only few TOGOs left in the world. As a coaster enthusiast I would hate to see that happen. Another option would be to remove Hurler. ( the better option in my opinion ). To me the removal of Hurler would make more sense considering the ride is a walk on all the time, and it seemed fairly vanilla for a woodie. With the next addition most likely being B&M, what would seem most fitting for KD? A winged coaster or a hyper similar to Diamonback or Behemoth would be my best bet. I'm hoping another manufacture could get to see the spotlight. ( Mack hyper coaster anybody? ). The options are limitless, it's a bright future for the coaster world.

So what's up with this "power hour" crap on Banshee last night?

Ford Motor Company? You mean General Motors. -

The pour hour is trying to get everyone through and have the crews finished and clocked out as soon as possible. It seems as KI or possibly Cedar Fair are becoming real penny pincher's with employees. What I noticed last week proves a point having people who were not hired as ride ops doing ride ops ( KI police and Life guard ). Yes both work for KI but their job titles and most likely training are not the same, which too me seems unsafe. -
Maybe KI's next addition will be a 300ft RMC fraudulent coaster?!
-
I'll be there by noon.

In my opinion the backseats on any coaster provide the most thrill, therefor are the best seats on a coaster.
-
Why? B&M is far more technologically advance in the coaster world. They made a LSM launch coaster! Why would you want a different manufacture? It will just break down. B&M make the most comfortable rides! That rough shuffling was designed on purpose to be Diamondbacks rattler. There are no cons with B&M they never go wrong.

The park has closed early before due to rain, but that is only if its accompanied by low attendance. The only thing that will stop operation of coasters is heavy rain and lighting.
