  1. All this talk about wanting KI to get an RMC. Careful, you might just get what youre wishing for. Twisted Racer? Iron Beast anybody?

    Project 2017?

Ouimet has from day 1 been in control. In Kinzel's book he said the 2013 coaster for CP was supposed to be another giga. Obviously there is nothing but his word, but I believe Kinzel would be crazy enough to do that. That being said some people think Fury 325 was supposed to be that coaster, but got moved to the "CP of the south" by Ouimet to fill a gap. I think Ouimet's approach to parks is to fill gaps before going outside the box. What really is going to show how Ouimet operates his parks is when it comes down to the next KI coaster and whether or not the next coaster for CP fills the flyer gap. Five year plans get extended like Terp said but that doesn't mean things can't be evolved to fit new funds. IMO atleast obviously I'm just some enthusiast. Each park to have every B&M coaster in B&M's lineup, before going outside the box track? Seems to be the trend. Also I agree CP would have been better off with a Fyler than a drop coaster, in my opinion.. Heck a decent woodie would also be a nice addition at the point.
  3. but Thunderhawk ( a Vekoma SLC ) was?
  4. If anything it would either be scrapped or sold. They could have easily moved Shockwave at KD to a park that hasn't seen a coaster addition in a long time ( Michigan's Adventure ) and we didn't see that happen. ( sadly )
  5. ever watch undercover boss? With the right makeup artist, he could easily be unreconizable as a scareactor.
  6. Then why aren't we seeing a major refurbishment with Dragon Challenge, which also opened in 1999 at Universal? And I can add to that list at neighboring parks with B&M's such as Buesh Gardens Tampa. Kemba 1993 and Montu 1996 both of which are older haven't seen a major refurbishment such as the Incredible Hulk.

  8. Looks like the track already had trains run the course with that wheel wear.
  9. Not to take away from RMC they probably produce a stellar ride but I love/hate RMC. They turn bad coasters to great coasters, but sometimes it's over extended. I think SoB would have been a perfect candidate for RMC, but it's like poison. Six Flags been bit, and now multiple woodies have been converted, not just because it was a horrible ride. Therefor I hope to not see anything RMC at any CF park.
  10. Terp is right Firehawk first, then immediately after ride Flight of Fear. It will save you a lot of time.
  11. I don't understand why they stopped dueling the coasters. That type of accident could happen to anybody at any park, on just about any ride. As far as Refurbishment goes, the ride was refurbished in 2009-2010 to fit the themeing of the wizarding world of Harry Potter. If anything the coaster's could be demolished and both be rebuilt with new layouts. Otherwise i don't see this coaster being removed. It is one of the few things that make Universal stand out to its competition in Disney. That is, having much more thrilling coasters.
  12. Probably digging up green Intamin track they've been hiding from us.
  13. This forum is getting juicy! -tr0y reaching for the popcorn.
  14. 10 years ago I would've called you a fool for thinking Universal was better than Disney. As of recent Universal has done amazing things. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is just wow, can't explain.
  15. I'm not against virtual reality coasters but not entirely for it. It would be something I'd like to try, but at the same time I feel like i have already done it for 50 cents at the local mall..
  16. that big noodle ended up making its way to Paul brown stadium a season ago..
  17. indeed, if memory serves me right there is a crypt in that area that could definitely use a minecart system.
  18. Animatronics are great on coasters but only if they are maintained. I think Kings Island is better off without them tho. The park has trouble maintaining its current animatronics let alone light bulbs.. I really liked what they did with Banshee as far as themeing.
  19. I will not be returning to the point this year for the first time in 4 years.. I've decided I was going to forgo getting a platinum pass, and instead make my way south and visit Dollywood for the first time. I will however being doing my annual camping trip to holiday world going on 5 years strong.
  20. That last question was unfair... but I got The Beast,.
  21. My recommendation would be to forgo getting a meal plan at the park. My experience was for the most part horrible last year, and that was the first time I ever purchased a season long meal plan. The options to choose from where great, but the service was typically bad, and food quality was a flip of a coin. If you do however decide to get a plan I would suggest you stay clear from any skyline at the park. Especially the one on international street. I was a platinum season dining holder, and you experience at Cedar Point was great. But due to the small sampling size compared to Kings Island. (KI is my home park) it's hard to say if CP had the same issues.

    Project 2017?

after the removal of the old funnel cake stand, and moving wwc entrance. They could remove our current log flume and build a new one.
  23. Fun Fact: The removal of the "old Incredible Hulk Coaster" marks the first B&M coaster ever to be dismolished. B&M has now built over a hundred coasters since their first being Iron Wolf in 1990, all of which are in operation today.
