  1. Were they refunding the entire bill and giving you the pass for free, due to the inconvenience? - tr0y making a paypal account.
  2. The backlash CFA received for their beliefs was a bit unfair.. There are a lot of companies involved in politics, and a lot of companies politically left of CFA that aren't afraid to express it. They do not receive such backlash in doing so.
  3. Or better yet, just incorporate the preloaded card system to your KI season pass. To go even further, use your KI app with your pass linked on it. Then you will just have to pull out your smartphone and scan a barcode to enter the park, eat, play games, and make a purchase. Streamline and save $$$$$ you could also pay in-app instead of having to visit a machine.
  4. The fact that Hurler is still around and not Shockwave is still mind boggling to me. There must be big plans for Hurler, especially now that it is closed for the entire season. The park itself is overdue for a coaster as well.
  5. PETA will never be done. I think it's interesting to point out how much of an opportunity Blackfish was for them to throw hate against SeaWorld. PETA is against ALL animals in captivity. They simply used this incident as fuel to start a fire with the major marine life "zoo" (i.e. SeaWorld). The move on SeaWorld's part was sure a smart decision, it just proves that public opinion can change a company. Especially a company that relies on people's loyalty to come back to its parks. "all animals in captivity" wouldn't that include dogs and cats?
  6. I am confused with this decision, didn't they plan and are already in the process of building new tanks for these orca's? If they don't plan on keeping them then why don't they just condition them for release and then do so?
  7. I think that one has been there, they just made special note of it on the park map so that people would get their refill there rather than hope into a food line. Also I noticed in the park map that there will be a railroad crossing for the new line for WWC. To me I find this strange, because it wouldn't seem cost affective because now there will have to be a security guard stand post there to make sure people don't cross when the train comes by.

    Project 2017?

Until we see some redwood stain on The Beast, its fate unknown same goes for the The Racer. Which could use some paint.
  9. I'd like to see some coaster variety as well. So many other good coaster manufacturers out there yet we only get B&M.
  10. Can't blame me that much for using Wikipedia, I was only a mere 3 years old when the ride was opened. But for now on, I'll use Terpedia! Which leads me to a question specifically for Terp. Was The Beast ( track included ) painted?
  11. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_of_Fear#Kings_Island"] according to Wikipedia it has had 4 trains before, and Kings Dominion's version ran with 3. It would be the only way that coaster could hypothetically be thought to hit 2000 riders per hour.
  12. 960 riders per hour is fairly poor, majority of the coasters at Kings Island can get up to 1200 or more. Now these numbers are only reached in a perfect world so even tho it is capable of said riders per hour it realistically is probably less than that. Flight of Fear capacity was 2000 at one time when the coaster operated with 4 trains.
  13. My biggest gripe of the current trains are the Lapbars, they eat up a lot of lateral leg space.
  14. Colossus was a icon itself, and we all know the fate it saw.. I think people forget that CF is a business. It makes perfect business sense to upgrade and reprofile a current coaster for it would be much cheaper doing so. Another bonus with converting to RMC would be the amount of money saved in maintence costs., and for a non enthusiast a new coaster is always great. And the sad truth of it all, if CF deems it a success there will be more conversions to follow. ( like Six Flags )
  15. All this talk about wanting KI to get an RMC. Careful, you might just get what youre wishing for. Twisted Racer? Iron Beast anybody?

    Project 2017?

Ouimet has from day 1 been in control. In Kinzel's book he said the 2013 coaster for CP was supposed to be another giga. Obviously there is nothing but his word, but I believe Kinzel would be crazy enough to do that. That being said some people think Fury 325 was supposed to be that coaster, but got moved to the "CP of the south" by Ouimet to fill a gap. I think Ouimet's approach to parks is to fill gaps before going outside the box. What really is going to show how Ouimet operates his parks is when it comes down to the next KI coaster and whether or not the next coaster for CP fills the flyer gap. Five year plans get extended like Terp said but that doesn't mean things can't be evolved to fit new funds. IMO atleast obviously I'm just some enthusiast. Each park to have every B&M coaster in B&M's lineup, before going outside the box track? Seems to be the trend. Also I agree CP would have been better off with a Fyler than a drop coaster, in my opinion.. Heck a decent woodie would also be a nice addition at the point.
  17. but Thunderhawk ( a Vekoma SLC ) was?
  18. If anything it would either be scrapped or sold. They could have easily moved Shockwave at KD to a park that hasn't seen a coaster addition in a long time ( Michigan's Adventure ) and we didn't see that happen. ( sadly )
  19. ever watch undercover boss? With the right makeup artist, he could easily be unreconizable as a scareactor.
  20. Then why aren't we seeing a major refurbishment with Dragon Challenge, which also opened in 1999 at Universal? And I can add to that list at neighboring parks with B&M's such as Buesh Gardens Tampa. Kemba 1993 and Montu 1996 both of which are older haven't seen a major refurbishment such as the Incredible Hulk.
