I’m not even angry at the size of Sol Spin, I’m angry at the fact it’s almost June and it’s still under construction. Maybe @super7is onto something saying they’re junky “cheap” rides, maybe not so much the “rides” itself, but the manufacturer Zamperla. When I was at CP yesterday Wild Mouse was down for the entire day, and from reports I’m seeing, it is closed today too. Also I read in an Article about how Wild Mouse broke down and people had to be evacuated off the ride during its preview day, in-front of the media for all to see. How embarrassing. https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/experience/theme-parks/2023/05/05/cedar-point-wild-mouse-boardwalk/70186969007/

Sorry double post I guess, but I just seen this in my feed on FB and it has me wondering if this is already in the pipeline at KI considering it’s being rolled out to multiple locations: https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/skyline-fans-no-longer-have-to-go-to-a-reds-game-to-enjoy-chili-nachos

I got to try CP’s Grand Pavilion yesterday. I ended up getting the turkey breast, potatoes, and bread. Food wise it was good, the food could have been a tad bit warmer. The building itself and the views were great! The bugs were really bad but it’s that time of the year tho for CP. All in all I would say KI’s G&G has a much better selection of food, in my opinion.

Thankfully KI chose the 24 Endeavor model. Being that they’re 2 months behind on this currently could you imagine them attempting to open a 48 Endeavor model??? It would probably take them twice as long, being that it’s double the ride essentially. They would have to change the banner on the wall from saying “Coming this Summer!” to “New Haunt attraction!”.

Got to try Skyline Nachos at GABP tonight, they were awesome and reasonably priced being around $10. Doesn’t hurt the fact that the game brought us in attendance free pizza, and more important a win! I’m sure King’s Island has a spare nacho cheese dispenser that currently isn’t being used that can find its way to a Skyline in the park.

There is always a fault. You can say Kings Island did not give itself enough or any buffer during construction for unanticipated delays. ( I.E. start construction sooner. ) It could be Zamperla’s fault with getting the parts needed to construct the ride or the contractors they picked for the job being unable stay on schedule. Given the fact that there are multiple things that were and or are still behind schedule that did not open on time for opening day makes me lean towards Kings Island being at fault. With poor planning being the reason for delays.

I’m assuming Adventure Port will be open for Memorial Day weekend? I can’t picture the area being completed in regards to theming considering how far behind they are but the rides will be operational.

I just want to say, I’m impressed with Chef Joseph Perez so far this season. He seems to take a lot of ownership with the restaurants within the park. For the 4 visits that I have been I have seen him walking about in 3 of those visits. It’s always a good sign to see someone that is passionate and cares about what they do.

Meanwhile at Kings Island: The price is wrong BOB!!!

I guess I could have been more specific when it came to this being the worst opening at KI in the CF era. What I meant was the combination of things not being opened for opening day, or for the opening of the regular season. Adventure Port is still not ready, technically the VIP lounge, The Bat and Delirium were not ready on opening day. Drop Tower is still closed. Let’s not forget the bait and switch tactic the park used on people with the VIP lounge. I might sound pessimistic but I’m truly passionate for Kings Island, it’s a great park but with that being said, it’s too good of a park to be so behind and late on things. Especially being a SEASONAL park.

True, but there was plenty of weekends they could’ve left it closed to get it finished for opening day. Remember they started painting Diamondback in FEBRUARY! February 23rd to be exact. Mako which is a near peer coaster at Seaworld closed in April for general maintenance and it got an entire fresh coat of paint. It reopened as of yesterday, May 18th. With all the other projects not being completed for opening day. Dare I say this may be the worst opening in KI history during the CF era?
-
Should’ve just kept it closed till it was finished.

That is why Kings Island losing Chick Fil A is a huge deal. It was the most consistent quality restaurant the park had to offer.
-
I’m curious how the park plans on completing painting Diamondback now that officially the regular season has begun. Unless they close it during the regular operating hours I have little faith it will be completed till the regular season is over.

There is running tap water in the VIP lounge. There is a spigot right above the infused water coolers to keep them topped off. https://ohparent.com/kings-island-opens-vip-lounge-for-prestige-passholders/

Does it make me petty that I created a twitter account to reported whodat17 for suggesting to RMC The Beast?

Me on other side of the construction fence waiting for the rest of Adventure Port to open so I can ride Sol Spin and the Adventure Express.

Currently in Orlando, Seaworld gives their pass members free drinks and a place to sit in the air conditioning, and all I could think of was how people paid a lot of money to eat a bag of chips in whatever the weather is for the day.

Are they no longer serving the crinkle cut fries at KI Skyline? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Sorry for double but yesterday they’re was a huge wait for the Juke Box dinner, not because the kitchen was slow, but it was due to a crowd of like 30 or so people who were apart of the same group event I guess? They were redeeming their food and drink wrist bands. Now I understand having some behind the counter as a one off but I would think that being a large group that more than likely purchased them in advance, they would have those ready for those folks for pickup near the entrance of the park?

While everyone this weekend will have their focus on The Bat reopening and the grand opening of the Grain and Grill. Kings Island has secretly been refilling the pond underneath The Beast.
