  1. Vortex will be around as long as Kings Island is willing to pay to keep it around. Parts can be fabricated and tracks can be replaced.
  2. Have you ridden Hurler before? That was the ride that should've been removed.
  3. Seems like a big enough space to accomindate a dozen or so Taxi's.
  4. The parking lot has been longing for asphalt, for a couple seasons now...
  5. Add Adventure Express to that list, such an neglected coaster.
  6. Hopefully Soak City receives some attention.
  7. At this point I don't care who installs a coaster at Kings Island as long as it's not a B&M coaster. Diversity would be nice. That's one thing that's great about SIX past 5 years (2010 - 2015) they have used multiple manufactures for rollercoasters. Rocky Mountain Construction, Premier Rides, S&S worldwide, B&M, Intamin, Vekoma, and Zamperla. You take a look at Cedar Fair (2010 - 2015) Intamin, B&M, Mack, Art Engineering and GCI.
  8. Carowinds is removing the wrong woodie, Hurler needs to be chopped. I rode its twin at Kings Dominion and was not impressed.
  9. Just about every component on a coaster can be replaced, it comes down to money and whether or not the park wants to spend money too keep an existing ride open.
  10. I really need to fix this.. Too much work involved tho.
  11. <a class='bbc_url' href='http://s1302.photobucket.com/user/nelsonmonty/media/spongebob_imagination_by_kssael_display_zps742422d7.jpeg.html'><img src='http://i1302.photobucket.com/albums/ag137/nelsonmonty/spongebob_imagination_by_kssael_display_zps742422d7.jpeg' alt='Posted Image' class='bbc_img' /></a>
  12. . CP is doable in one day, if you go on the weekdays. Just make sure when you start your day at the park go directly to Millenium Force and then Maverick Directly afterwards. ( they have the longest lines ) A good place to stay for relatively cheap is Maui Sands they have 6ppl rooms for as cheap as 120 dollars a night. It also has an indoor water park. The cheapest tickets I couldn't tell you I got mine for $45 dollars a piece for early season tickets but they expire in June. It would probably be beneficial if someone with a gold pass gets platinum to pay for their tickets and parking for the group.
  13. My first coaster ride was on AE, my dad convinced me to ride and even tho I was scared I didn't cry. ( at first ) we reach the first lift hill and while looking to my left I see this huge wooden structure with a loop. ( SOB ) and not thinking much as a kid I thought both the rides were connected and we where heading that way. Than I began to cry, my dad laughed the till the end.
  14. I saw these 2 crying kids being forced by their mother to ride Diamondback. They left the station crying, and soon returned smiling ear to ear. Just like mama bird teaching her chicks to fly, it's called tough love..
  15. Probably, but you will forfeit your 2015 pass. Call and find out.
  16. Hopefully we will see a fully refurbished Monster, but if anything the park should refurb the Adventure Express, the coaster in its current state has been very neglected.
  17. KI is still lacking deep fried cheese on a stick.
  18. KK is getting more attention on here ( a forum for a park they are trying to compete with ) than their own FB page.
  19. My guilty pleasure would be Intamin coasters, they have a bad rep as far as reliability, and capacity. But when I need that extra thrill. I make the trip up north to get my fix. It's well worth the time and money.
  20. ...hence why I prefer to pay full price for each drink. (Well, minus the 10% Gold Pass discount, anyway.) Not to mention pay for a locker just to ride one coaster.
  21. The park is making money. I worked in fast food and the paper cup cost more than the Soda it contained. ( cup was .25 cents ) Considering they are charging you about 5 dollars a soda ( not suvineer cup ) they are making a large amount of profit from drinks that are not included in the meal plan. Even if you got a suvineer cup they charge you $15 dollars just to get one and for every drink you buy afterwards they are still profiting at least a dollar, and if you plan on riding Banshee they are going to make profit from the locker you rent. Also the park is paying for the for the cost of making the food itself. The majority of options in the dining plan have cheap food cost, ( IE pizza, spaghetti, chicken, rice, hotdogs, bread, ext. ). And from the looks of it from above post. People are now spending money and buying things that they wouldn't have without the plan so the park is profiting. It's keeping seasonal guest in the park. Which accompanies a lot of Kings Island attendance. There is also lucrative dining plans for tourists. Other than the cashier and line issues, I'd say this meal plan is a big win for the park.
