  1. There moving pretty fast putting this coaster up, probably getting as much as they can done before winter hits, depending in the weather this year i think its possible they could have track layout completed by January... The last things to go in would be the station, que line , and the ring. Then the testing will begin sometime late winter / early spring.
  2. Antique cars, Son of Beast, tomb raider, flying eagles, king cobra, theming and some names to return to the rides / rollercoasters. Winterfest, The Beast to run with its old skid brakes for trims, the return of nickelodeon universe and Hannah Barbara land being there own sections, and the return of some of the old perks for platinum and gold passes.
  3. If Kings Island was to bring back winter fest it would need to have competitive pricing with the zoo and other Xmas events, i would say probably 15 - 20 dollars entrance fee. Great food that is unique to the park that time of year. Also attraction wise, they could open Flight of Fear, ki railroad, a petting zoo, ice skating, holiday lights walk throughs. Christmas themed Dinosaurs Alive, eifle tower, holiday shows, with that i think it could work at the right pricing and marketing but who knows if the parks wants to deal with having the park opened in the wintertime when offseason maintenance and chores. must be completed around the park.
  4. Top speed of 65mph for 300+ ft coaster, either this is a case of over engineering by B&M or they plan the longest trimmed braked drop that will take the world record from The Beast. Probably just the news playing into Cedar Fairs games, last time i recalled the so called expert the news interviewed for Kings Island Banshee told us we were getting a winged coaster with multiple world records. We all walked away from the park that august night with neither of those... Until i see footers I'm not going to believe what the news has to say, or the park for that matter, honestly why would the park come out and tell us what we are getting, this early. all i got to say is, COME ON MAN!
  5. There has been an unusual amount of skunks this year at Halloween Haunt, first week i went i encountered a skunk who was standing at the front door of the festhaus, 2 weeks later there was a skunk walking on the rocks while i was standing in the Diamondback line... A week after that there was a raccoon sitting ontop of The Beast vending machines while i was standing in line.
  6. If someone paid 5 months worth of gas and bills i could ride The Racer all day every day for the 2014 season, i like my odds ..
  7. stinger is a clone of Kings Islands Invertigo, the ride itself was originally called intvertigo but when it was moved from California's great American to dorney park, it was repainted and renamed to stinger.
  8. I think Coney Island will benefit from the casino, the casino is going to bring in people to that area.
  9. The rattling plays apart of the ride being themed after a snake, what your feeling is Diamondback's rattler
  10. Sorry folks, flight deck is being removed at the end of the 2013 season, be sure to ride Banshee as it makes its debut in 2014!!! Kidding,, If they do go with The Bat retheme maybe they will retheme under the station to be The Bat lair, or cave.
  11. i forget the manufacture that used one track column that was able to have two trains on it. It looked similar to what the top hat/loop on full is except that there was two trains side by side. That would be the only cost effective way for a racing giga coaster.

    Ouimet?

Ouimet is doing an amazing job but i do question him making the statement of parks being their own brand, the parks themselves don't standout much from eachother other than comparing CP or a Cedar Fair park before the paramount takeover... And all the paramount parks still resemble eachother in a sense... Another issue i have is a lack of variety or rides and coasters alot of the newer flat rides are becoming chain wide , and the newer coasters are becoming chain wide B&M. I don't mind b&m but manufacture variety is a must,I emphasize variety because its great there's no comparison with a arrow hyper and a b&m hyper both coasters are hyper coasters but the difference is the manufactures engineering style both produce very different rides experiences... I wouldn't want all intamin coasters either i need b&m floater airtime as a cool down from all the intamin thrill!
  13. Time out, your comparing top thrill dragster that hits the brakes doing 120mph when leviathan is probably doing less than half that when it reaches its brake run. Leviathans brake run is excessive watch the pov. And the sad part there is even trim brakes on leviathan.
  14. The brake run is excessive it seems as if b&m use no trim brakes or MCBR they make the brake run as long as the lift hill itself leviathan being a example of that.
  15. The Banshee is a continuation of The Beast legacy. A Banshee appears from the death of Son of Beast.
  16. notice how i said " every coaster " not flat rides and Dino's.
  17. Replace every coaster addition today with b&m and that's what it would have been if Matt Ouimet was in charge during the paramount takeover. I also believe more parks would stand out from one another.
  18. SOB smooth as glass hahaha, who knows maybe we are seeing the demise of B&M.
  19. How can anyone complain about a little shuffling on a steel coaster? Especially a B&M coaster for crying out loud.. Take a ride on The Racer that has real shuffling.
  20. I would have called up Intamin for prefabricated track, i would have replaced the chain lift with a cable lift, the first drop would have been much steeper there would have been a quick airtime hill before the second hill that turns 90 degrees over into the rose bowl like texas giant. The rose bowl would bank to the point of being 90 degrees at the bottom both helixes would be enclosed like The Beast. After the rose bowl the train would take a 90 degree turn into a short bunny hop speed hill, then the train would hit the MCBR after that drop down into the loop, after the loop have the helixes both banked at 90 degrees and enclosed, the rest of the ride would remain the same up to that point expect with prefabricated track. With these additions Son of Beast would be as glassy smooth as Diamondback, except Son of Beast would be much more forceful.. Kings Island could of had a winner on there hands, but they washed there hands of the problems instead of giving the coaster a real chance.
  21. we would not have that problem if we had millennium force.
  22. exactly why i think its great to have a variety of coaster manufactures in one park, each one gives a different experience it would be boring to have all b&m coasters.
  23. b&m folks should wear protection while riding on Millennium force i ended up catching intaminitis from it... I have no regrets to this day.
  24. Carowinds is getting a b&m giga most likely at that price tag the last intamin giga was a cool 25mill. Thank god it isn't Kings Islands giga SHEW! Id take a b&m invert over a b&m giga any day... vHopefully with the two B&M installments Kings Island has, they will be ok with leaving the comfort zone and call up intamin!
  25. if intamin world got millenium force, it would have the same capacity as Diamondback as well as great reliability. One thing millenium force has that Diamondback doesn't, is in its name FORCE!
