  1. It’s going to be interesting what they do with the lockers at FOF. They were installed for people to lock loose articles away while they rode Firehawk. With that gone, will we see them removed and a redesigned entry plaza for FOF?
  2. It was still in testing stages when it stopped. I have many artifacts and souvenirs from that program, as in my opinion, it was pretty cool. Glad to see it’s being revived. Question is how many bonus points do you start out with if you buy a meal deal and drink plan?
  3. The weight limit is 350 lbs I believe.
  4. Wow, that demolition is really .......... flying. It’s kind of sad to see Firehawk being dismantled as I thought it was the most intense ride in the park.
  5. It looks like there may be caissons in the image.
  6. Heres the facts. Dinn was supposed to build a coaster in 91 at KI. This was not the park led attempt to build the Aeroplane coaster where Diamondback is now.
  7. Tallest drop was 160. Only needed an 90 foot tall lift to get the desired world record breaking drop.
  8. One problem. KD was supposed to get the hyper and Carowinds was supposed to get the Intamin Giga, from what I was told. Thank goodness BGW already had a B&M Hyper.
  9. dis·man·tle /disˈman(t)l/ Learn to pronounce verb take (a machine or structure) to pieces. "the engines were dismantled and the bits piled into a heap" Technically, it was.
  10. Those are for approval, and changes like that happen routinely. I have documents that stated Kings Island was to build the world’s tallest Wooden Coaster. Did this happen? No. The park submits a ton of docs seeking approval for a new ride concepts. This is not a change while submitting documentation. What we are referring to is a change after paperwork has been filed. However, it is important to note that heavy relocation equipment is being utilized, possibly to relocate parts to SFA (if purchased) or Carowinds.
  11. Trust me. That’s not how demo projects work at all. You can not change a demolition project from a relocation to al out scrapping on the flip of the dime.
  12. You’re correct. Where’s the shadow of the vehicle on the ride/ground?
  13. Costco has some cheap film transfer services. I haven’t tried them yet, but I want to.
  14. I saw on videos uploaded that a lot of Firework shells were exploding at lower than usual heights compared to shows with no wind. Did they seem low?
  15. If it’s stuck inside, you could use an X-ray machine.
  16. They may fit if they make them sit TETRIS style.
  17. While at Winterfest today, I saw there’s a new rule at Woodstock Gliders. I did not see if it may be applied at other rides. Thoughts?
  18. Interesting how they’re using joists to connect the roof girders. I’m curious if that is being done on initial assembly, or when all the frames are in place for final assembly.
  19. It looks like someone already made a mock up of the ride. Looking at Gould’s website, ride will have theoretical capacity of 400 pph.
  20. The only good thing about that mock up is that it would hit the theoretical capacity of 3200, which is identical to the 79 capacity.
