  1. I've always wondered why Great Pumpkin Fest wasn't in Planet Snoopy to begin with. It's even in the name.
  2. I'd like to see a documentary on every ride at KI, those old, new, and long gone. They're all worthy.
  3. From what I understand, the pond surrounding The Beast was the same way with coins (and garbage).
  4. Were adult sizes made for that shirt? Asking for a friend.
  5. I love how that list includes "Feed My Frankenstein" by Alice Cooper, "The Addams Groove" by MC Hammer, and "Pet Sematary" by The Ramones, a bit of a throwback to the Paramount days.
  6. I have no stories to tell as I wasn't alive when The Bat existed, but I love this animated promo. I keep hearing that Hanna-Barbara produced it, but I can never find a proper citation for that. Anyone know if that is actually true?
  7. These new additions sound fun. I'm assuming Shipwrecked is in Action Zone?
  8. Maybe it was emotional support. Who's to say?
  9. Just out of curiosity, why get rid of Kings Island Theater that is used throughout the season when there is an outdoor one that, apart from storage, is only used once a year?
  10. I imagine they'll look a lot better with the ambient lighting and fog effects.
  11. Phantom Theater, hands down. Arguably, it is still there in spirit, but I've never been a fan of adding the blasters. But we're at the point where I wonder if they did remove the blasters, if kids would be disappointed. The runner up is Kenton's Cove. It was such a great flume and the short life span of the ride they replaced it with, the ride which should've gone to Action Zone, just wasn't worth losing this classic. This paired with the initial loss of the antique cars is why I'm not so hot on the "It is old, so it must go!" school of thought.
  12. We all do! I mostly just said that because I have a number of collector cups/glasses that I have gathered over the years from movie theaters, restaurants, and antique malls, and would like to add some KI cups to the mix. But the ones they currently offer are flimsier and not quite as eye-catching, due to being used for the drink plan I reckon. Hopefully, they'll drop something cool for Orion.
  13. I think the downgrade is more or less the flimsier plastic and so-so designs we currently have. I would love to see the park offer "premium" collector cups that are separate from the drink plan bottles.
  14. As long as it ends with a gimmick similar to Mystic Timbers.
  15. Are those birds or bats circling the Eiffel Tower?
  16. There you go! And the best thing is they wouldn't even have to pour concrete. Spirit Song. It frees up that Timberwolf spot.
  17. If you find Blue rough, sit towards the middle of the train. I did so on my last trip and it was smooooooth. I don't recommend the front or back on either Racer or The Beast. Also, never hold on during a wooden rollercoaster. Put your hands in the air and let go, otherwise you are forcing your body to endure every bump.
  18. I would imagine Red will get retracked at some point in the near future. 50th anniversary, perhaps? I don't think Racer is going anywhere anytime soon. Besides, there is already a far more problematic coaster that seems likelier to be replaced within the next 5-10 years, and ironically, it is much younger than Racer and Vortex.
  19. Respectfully, I'm pretty sure the average person considers The Racer 1 ride, not 2. Also, it has historical significance to the park and as far as its age goes, the Cyclone at Coney Island opened in 1927 and in just 8 years, it will have been around for 100 years. With good care, I see no reason why Racer couldn't last as long.
  20. I would definitely appreciate bathrooms in very close proximity to Orion next year after what I presume will be a 3+ hour wait in line, because... well, because bladder.
  21. I couldn't find anything on their Twitter page that said that. Maybe somewhere else? I am not sure how they could do it, but I do hope Area 72 is expanded somehow.
  22. I think the idea is that specific threads (in theory) would be easier to navigate than one all inclusive thread. Judging by how numerous people kept complaining about the cluttered nature of Decoding thread, I can't imagine it would be any different for a unified Orion thread.
  23. Or they could just swap the names of the threads!
  24. I mean, hey if it has the good toilet paper and central air...
