My Beast Unleashed Concept (please take with a grain of salt)
The O.P said trim breaks, not brakes, LOL. I was just making light of the use of the word breaks :-)

RMC Adventure Express
My 7 year old thinks Adventure Express is a good coaster. Some older kids, teenagers, and adults probably consider it a baby ride as they are now tall enough to ride the more intense coasters. Having said all this, now that my son is big enough to do the coasters with the 48" required height, these rides have become more fun for me to share with him. But not everyone has that. Welcome to KIC!

My Beast Unleashed Concept (please take with a grain of salt)
1) They are trim brakes, not breaks as the trims never go on break :-) 2) I believe the main reason it's not considered as intense as 30 years ago is look at technology and what can be done now. The Beast is still intense, but when you have the modern machines that we do now, it may not seem as intense. 3) A lot of the point of The Beast was to use the terrain, which is the reason you don't see so much airtime. 4) I do like your ideas though, so don't take this as me being totally critical of your ideas.

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic
I will look into the desktop computers then. And thank you! So, what it wrong with RCTWorld?

RollerCoaster Tycoon Classic
Looks pretty good. A fair price as well. I'm really looking to get a laptop so that I can pickup Planet Coaster and Roller Coaster Tycoon World.

Cedar Point (+ Other CF Parks) May Change All Season Drink Program
Every idea sounds better when it comes from people deemed "more important" than you.

Son of Beast
Personally, I have never had to ride Vortex in any special kind of way. I have been riding it since it opened. Sure, the transitions could be better, but the technology is way better now and I can't ride Vortex expecting Banshee-like transitions. Not once have I ever received what I would consider a bad ride. Vortex always delivers and I ride it every trip 2-3 times. Plus, I have had back surgery that comes with problems. Is it rough compared to what we have today? Yes. At the same time, this newer technology has spoiled the general public into believing that older rides built 35 years ago should deliver the same kind of experience. I guess that they just don't have that knowledge.

Random Question about Vortex
I have never witnessed the MCBR not operating. I am thinking it has something to do with the block braking.

Rumors 2017 onward
I like the idea of renaming Drop Zone to Demon Drop. Personally, I think Mean Streak re-opening will be for 2018 because 1) 2017 announcements have already been made, 2)RMC says no new projects opening in 2017. I would think Cedar Point would announce MS to boost season pass sales. Not very effective late. They are really pushing the waterpark additions, which is typical of CF to do that without a new coaster taking away attention from that.

The Blade talks with Cedar Fair chief about the future of FUN
There definitely could be a sports complex located where the old KI Inn was. The plan is to add those chain wide, it seems. At the moment, none of parks mentioned or not mentioned are available. Only time will tell if CF can acquire those in the near future. This is an interesting time for Cedar Fair. Should they seek to add more parks to the chain, it will depend on selling price amongst other factors

The Great Ride Exchange
Invertigo and Banshee are two different ride experiences. I would like to see some classic flats make their way back into KI; like Rotor, Tumblebug, Bayern Curve or Der Spinnin' Keggers.

Carowinds Vortex is settling?
Wow. The logic on that board is overwhelmingly...well...if you can't say anything nice, say nothing at all. I would love to know where all this "insider information" comes from. Now, I am not doubting that a conversion to floorless is possible. But the reasoning sounds like something directly from some Facebook meme LOL.

New For 2017: Mystic Timbers!
I disagree that KI's wooden coasters are over the hill. I still get great rides on The Beast and Racer. However, the engineering will be so decidedly different and will give an awesome new experience.

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
I would expect more camera action, once the project has been announced. Not likely for 2017 considering RMC has stated no new projects will open for 2017. I would also add that it seems to me that an announcement would have been made to push season pass sales as well.

Son of Beast
I enjoyed Son of Beast. I rode it with and without the loop. Typically, if you come back to the station with no riders in line, you can ask for a re-ride. I tried this a few times on SOB and was never allowed a re-ride. Ryan's post pretty much sums up everything there is to know about Son of Beast. I just wish they would remove the station if there are no plans for that area.

Awesome pic! Spring can't get here soon enough

Scooby's Ghoster Coaster
I rode it with my niece one time. It was a pretty cool ride, but way too slow loading.

How many times did you visit Kings Island in 2016?
I visited twice this year. Have plans to get a platinum pass for next year, so I expect that number to increase.

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
1) I wasn't referring to CF as a whole, only Cedar Point.. 2) Most in those lists consists of conversions, not installations. So, the only thing that has come back to back was Wicked Twister and Top Thrill Dragster.

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
^And under different leadership. Bet on Meanstreak 2.0 for 2018.

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
I am not aware of any time period during their history where there has been back to back coaster installations. No saying it can't happen, but it's highly unlikely. Introducing the longest "Wooden" roller coaster in the world! From Maverick to Millenium Force. It's Mean Streak R3BORN!!Isnt the track that has been arriving RMC's I Box track? Yes it's I Box!

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
I would say it's pretty obvious at this point that RMC is working on a project at Cedar Point. Their track has been spotted on site.

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
A lot of folks are saying that there is too much structural work to be done for it to be open for 2017. Plus, with Valravn opening this year, it's not likely Cedar Point would get another new one for 2017. I'm thinking that sounds correct.

Mean Streak Gets the Axe September 16th
It was just tallest and fastest at the time. Interested to see what RMC will do with it.

Serious accident on ride at Dreamworld in Australia
Saw a pic of this particular ride. The planks on the conveyor belt look dangerously far apart, unlike other similar rides. The raft at the top of the lift got stuck and the other on the conveyor ran into the stuck raft while the conveyor continued to push the raft on the lift, causing it to flip. Aren't there ride ops monitoring the lift that could have stopped it?
