  1. Good luck! Let us know what happens!
  2. As far as investing in a park, I would personally take SFMM. It has a great collection of coasters. All you need is the capital to get them in good running order and remove Flashback. All MM needs is some more family friendly rides and they would be more like Cedar Point. There's no reason you can't have an extreme coasters park with family type rides mixed in.
  3. Sounds good. As long as it's a decent three ring circus, I don't see why the GP won't go for this kind of show.
  4. Great TR Avatar! Nice vid! I'm already thinking about how great a TR from next year's PKICentral trip is going to be. Maybe instead of all of us posting TR's, we should have something thrown together to commemorate the gathering.
  5. That is interesting, Interpreter. SFMM was one of the highly speculated about parks that was supposedly on the "chopping block" since it was stated that park does not fit in with their "family" type approach.
  6. Apparently, someone has been to GL and say they see no dismantling. Coasterbuzz X-Flight Removal Rumors
  7. I hadn't really heard that Millennium Force is down that much. TTD has even gotten better this season.
  8. What changes have we seen in their plans? I've heard nothing about any of the formerly Paramount Parks.
  9. Same difference. I have seen a few people on here besides myself who have said the same thing..that CF intended to honor whatever Paramount had in store for their parks. If change is planned, then they wouldn't be honoring whatever they had in store. I know I've read this on other web sites as well.
  10. ^No, but Cedar Fair has already stated that they will go ahead with the plans that Paramount had for the park next year. I'm sure it will include improvements like paint, general upkeep. Beyond that is anyone's guess, but I imagine that Paramount was intending to make an addition of some sort. Now, what that addition is, no one knows. I have a feeling it will be a Boomerang Bay addition. I'd like to see one of those master blaster type slides go in.
  11. I love this at the end of the article. "Six Flags is trying to draw more families to its properties by banning smoking, planting flowers and spending $60 million on hiring. The company is also adding entertainment including fireworks shows and parades. " If you plant flowers, they will come back.
  12. Me too! I miss riding Son of Beast. Didn't get one lap this last season.
  13. I could see either an Inatmin or B&M coming to Kings Island.
  14. Makes sense Interpreter. I didn't know it wasn't a popular ride. I just remember very long lines for it at KI.
  15. Hope that answers your quesiton.
  16. I got to ride Flight Commander once. I thought it was pretty cool. What I am wondering is, why couldn't they have done a re-design and made models later that solved the restraint issue. I'm not positive, but I don't think a lot of parks had these. Or, did the stigma ruin that idea?
  17. I voted PKI best midway games and best overall park. I voted Cedar Point for stickest coaster.
  18. Part of it was rider error in that she was drunk. It was later determined that the seatbelt/restraint was insufficient to hold her in.
  19. Thanks for the more direct link, standbyme. I voted for Luke!
  20. ^Then neither of you follow the amusement industry very closely then. Screamscape is almost never right. But, if you keep guessing over and over again, eventually you'll get one right. Villain is rough and from what I understand, it had a lot to do with Six Flags not mantaining it very well.
  21. Not trying to be mean, but how does Renegade exactly mean a western theme? Renegade is a very broad word.
  22. Now you know where to go. And knowing is half the battle...G.I.Joe!
  23. Which says to me that it was a problem in the constructing of SOB, not a flaw in the design, otherwise, they would have sued Werner Stengel's company for poor design.
