Well as I've said before in recent posts, that I was taking my best friend to Kings Island, which I did. On Friday we arrived to Kings Island at around 6 suprised the parking lot wasnt packed. When we walked in the park there I looked at the interactive maps and noticed that wasnt any lines for any of the rides. I think the reason why that was because it was cold, and I mean really cold. But we really didnt seem to mind so we went straight for the Diamondback. Since it was my friends first time at an amusement park, I didnt know how he would react to it, suprisingly he took it really well and didnt close his eyes went we were at the top, which was good because I love going on high rides. As the the cart went down on the Diamondback, the wind just hit our face really fast. It was a really good ride since it was just us and two other people riding. After the ride he said he really liked the Diamondback and was really excited for the next ride. We went on The Beast, The Bat, The Racer, and a couple other flat rides. This was a great time to go because there was absoulty no lines. A couple hours later we were exiting Boo Blasters and we were about to go on it again, when we noticed something light up next to a bench. It was a phone, I told my friend that we should take it to security, but he told me to answer it, in case somebody was trying to call the phone and was looking for it in the park. I answerd the phone and a women answerd and said "Where are you at?" I replied "Over by Boo Blasters!" In seconds a women and security came up to me. I gave the women the phone and security asked us why we stole the phone. We were confused because we had no idea what we were talking about. They told me that a couple teenagers had stole a womens phone one by the name of John at the Candy Shoppe, and they thought we were them. We told them that we had just come out of Boo Blasters and had saw something light up in the dark, and when we realized it was a phone, were were going to take it to security. They seemed to believe us, but they us to identify ourselves, we didnt have ID's on us so we just showed them our FaceBooks. They told us sorry for the misunderstanding and they shook our hands and told us to look out for anybody suspicous. The security was nice and Im glad that the women got her cell phone back, some teenagers are heartless. I guess the teenagers got scared and threw thew phone somewhere so security couldnt track them down. The rest of our trip went well, we took the shuttle from the hotel to and from Kings Island. We ate PB & J sandwitches outside the park for lunch. On Saturday at the FestHaus I was glad to hear the return of the Shake Rattle and Roll, and the two new rides in Planet Snoopy. Also I was glad to hear that StarBucks was getting an expansion and was getting free WiFi. We went on so many rides, and played a little SkeeBall in the arcade too. We rode The Beast front seat (thats the first for me) and what a wonderful experience that was. We went on so many rides and walked around so much that we used the Massage Kegs in OktoberFest to make our feet feel better. It was the best time I had ever had at Kings Island, my friend said it was the best time he had ever had. On the last day, we were about to leave and I noticed that The Vortex was operating. It wasnt operating all weekend and I really wanted to ride it. So to end a perfect weekend, we rode The Vortex. As we left the park the workers by the exit said "See you next year!", and my response is indeed you will!

What is your favorite Water Ride At KI?
kingsislandfan1972 replied to mccarthysnerd's topic in KI Polls
The I love the location of WWC at Kings Island, because its so unique. If WWC was ever removed from Kings Island, then the name RiverTown would be pointless. I dont know what area that RFYLCB would be technically be located, so I guess that Diamindback would technically count as a Water Ride, hence the water. -
Nice report. Also thumbs up for Hanks Burrito shack, just the smells make my mouth water. We might eat there when we go to Kings Island tomorrow.

Well, around the 2007-2009 era, when SpongeBob 3D was still playing at Kings Island I sat in the moving seats, after the workers checked our safety belts, the ride operator said over the intercom "Ok, once your ready, push the big yellow button below your seat." I was thinking what yellow button, considering I had been on SpongeBob many times before, I was a bit confused. But then the operator said "Just kidding, enjoy your ride." It was pretty funny because it confused a lot of people.

Saturday I belive, for drinks we were thinking about using my 2014 Banshee Cups for 99 cents refills, I didnt know you could eat in the park, thank you for pointing that out. We were considering eating Subway in the park or just eat packed food ouside the park, before the haunt starts, is the resteraunts still open in the park when the Haunt begins? -
Interactive Park Maps Are Now At Kings Island

Yes, if that happend then my collection of Kings Island maps will be useless. -
2 years ago, I remember when a Clown, would come out of the mist, shake a can filled with who knows what, and scare innocent civiallians. It was also the same year of which I found a 100 dollar bill in Coney Mall near the arcade on the ground, I bought Chilie Fries in RiverTown which were absolutley delicious. Homer SImpson- "Mmmm Chile Fries!"

I have been to Kings Island many times before, but sadly my friend hasnt, but for the past month him and I have saved enough money to buy him an admission ticket. So I was wondering if it was cheaper to buy food in the park or to go to the store and buy food for the park. We want to do this so we wont have to leave the park. Since my friend hasnt been to an amusement park before, I wonder if I should introcduce him to some flat rides first or go extreme and go on something think Diamondback or The Banshee. I am curious what his reactions will be, so this will be good. I cant wait for this weekend!

While we are on the subject of the Phantom Theater, when you stand in line in Boo Blasters, does anybodytry to shine a light to the so called monsters behind the walls with red eyes and see the Maestro and other Phantom Theater characters? ( MaestroMan's profile picture.) This was a really cool edition to the Phantom Theaters line along with the posters and the Maestro playing the organ while also listening to spooky music, compared to the present and you wait in line and hear nothing and see nothing, ( well besides the FunTvs.).

KI Throwback Photo of The Day
kingsislandfan1972 replied to TheBEASTunchained's topic in Kings Island
Does anybody have a picture of Kings Islands park guide from 1992 and 1993? -
I should of appreciated the Phantom Theater when it was still operating, if I knew it was getting removed, I would have at least ridden it 50 times in a row, I dont ever remember a line so I would get in line, ride, exit, repeat. The reason why I liked Scooby Doo and the Haunted Castle so much was because it was themed and fit along great with Hanna Barbera Land. When Scooby Doo got replaced by Boo Blasters, I was totally unsatisfied, because at least with Scooby Doo, it told a story unlike Boo Blasters. By looking at the pictures above, you can really tell that the theming for the Phantom Theater was more creative than Boo Blasters. As with everybody else, I would love to see a return of the Phantom Theater.
