I'm excited to see the 1972 logo still being used. I bought two long sleeve t-shirts at WinterFest with the "old" logo. I do wish they would restore the original fountain sequence. As a very young child, I remember watching the fountains. They would go from a small trickle off the pedestals, then the sidelines would start to form, then the pedestal tops until the water "grew." The sound was outrageous. And then they would abruptly stop and it seemed so quiet. WinterFest, in my opinion, brought back some of the magic to International Street. It was so beautiful. I hope they use the lighting package during the normal season too. --jtro223, who just completed his 1000th post on KIC and who thanks all the nice people in these parts. If we have to keep BLSC/junkyard coaster, I really wish they would retheme it and remove all the props and warehouse district theming. Soften the landscape up, take out the riprap, restore it to a beautiful area like it used to be. Maybe call it Shady Grove. (here's looking at you, Kings Dominion!)

The vacant lot between the waterpark/Skycatcher, and the hotel at the 11:00 position is owned by the fair board is available for expansion, as of the last event I went to. Also, tying into this plot and wrapping around the perimeter near the large theater and rapid ride over to Storm Chaser--fair board owns most of this land and is not renewing leases as they expire.

I think they will get a hyper. I'd like to see T3 replaced with a newer invert. I'd like a GCI. Finally, TREX would be pretty cool. Finally, I know it's not a coaster, but I'd love to see expanded entertainment offerings and a revamped entry plaza. Sent from my LG-LS993 using Tapatalk

I don't appreciate the FUNTV is the woodshed and receiving area, but from the moment you enter the plaza, you are surrounded by a musical score, minimal metal queues, a line that takes you under the coaster, some video monitors that add to the story, a truck that starts before you leave the station....all in pretty well themed. We can focus on what we think the company did wrong (FUNTV) or we can focus on all the things they did right. I choose to focus on what they did right.

The Beast is my favorite coaster. I know the sweet spot where to ride, and the only times I get a bad ride is on train 2. I don't know why, but this train seems to give rougher rides than 1 or 3--so much so that I will let people go ahead of me if my train is #2. Besides that, I think The Beast is running really well and gives very smooth rides.

Meh and Lightning Run are not compatible in the same sentence. LOL. It looks like an Arrow, rides like an Intamin, and has the smoothness of a B&M. The ONLY thing I don't like it the ejector air on the last 3 bunny hills. It is too forceful for my taste.

I'm more of a Cedar Fair kind of guy than a Six Flags kind of guy, but I would have renewed my gold for this year had I not had to drive to a park to process my pass by a deadline. For the life of me, I cannot understand why it matters to SIX when I process my pass. When I buy, they have my money! FUN wins hands down in this regard.

See Kings Dominion International Street. Hanks equivalent is in the location where Skyline is and Panda is where the Yogurt Plus location is. (Layout only, building layouts are different.)

That was addressed in the article. It said construction delays caused the end of that project. This proposal sounds much more promising. And hello from Harrodsburg, nice to know there are people close to here!

@KImom According to the story on Kentucky.com today, the franchisee is going to open several more in the Lexington area. It is the same group that runs the First Watch locations in Lexington. I can only dream that means it will come to Danville. haha. The Larosa's will provide seating for around 200 people, so I think it will do well. It'll probably be like the set up in Dry Ridge.

Skyline was announced a couple of weeks ago and I predicted LaRosa's would be added. It will go on Richmond Road. Saw today my prediction is true. I'm very happy about it. I live near Harrodsburg but work in Lex. EDIT: to show the location detail I omitted.

When you don't live in Cincy and find out that Skyline and LaRosa's are coming soon to Lexington, only an hour away!

This is a difficult question for me. I would located in a temperate climate but my specs would allow me to operate in temps down to 5 degrees F. I would begin as a woodie, with a similar style and essence of The Beast. This would morph into a RMC style hybrid, which then in turn would morph into Skyrush at Hersheypark. I would then morph back into an RMC hybrid and the ending would turn in Phoenix at Knoebels, with some influences of Blue Streak at Conneaut Lake Park.

Please do not make it look like Kings Dominion entrance plaza-specifically the plastic turrets and the plastic Kings Dominion logo on the right. While I like the layout of the KD plaza, the treatments of plastic make it look cheap. And the turnstyle building doesn't have the IR above it, so it is not as majestic as KI upon walking in. I would love to see the tiles replaced or cleaned. And I'd like to see pass processing revamped, and the landscaping returned to the classic KI logo on the right side.

@stashua123--that looks like the same window (except from the inside) where you sold me my 2018 Platinum pass, dining, drink plan and a daily ticket and daily Funpix for my GP friend on the last Friday night of Haunt last year!

I dont think they would remove it. It can be part of the entrance plaza. And it would give the park an excuse to clean up the mess that is Hanks Burrito (Shack, Grille, Macaroni Bar) building. It really is ugly the way it is now.

Have any parks ever put Port A Potties in queue lines for opening?
