I did this last year... Upgraded from gold. It's park dependant. Just go to each parks website and look what their 2019 benefit is for 2020 new platnium pass purchases. (Even though you have gold, your a new platnium holder, so you icky get the new platnium perks, not the renewal platinum perks) Whatever that parks benefit is for their 2020 platnium pass in 2019 is what you will get when you go to that park. It is correct that your 2020 platnium dining plan won't work anywhere until 2020. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The petting zoo in the outdoor theater on the edge of Planet Snoopy is good... Although I'm not sure if that ended for the summer already. The water park has some fun play areas and splash pads that would be good too. Sundays in the fall, the water park (dry) is set up for trick or treating and has fun games and things (like playing in dry corn) or story time with characters. Also note that there is a hospitality building (fisher homes) across from chick fil a where you can go in and they they have changing tables, air conditioning, refrigerators for formula/milk, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I got a $4 bucket of Carmel popcorn. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

And the gold pass will likely stay at it's "lowest price" until at least Haunt... So you'll have plenty of time to get the gold pass. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chicken shack salad is a good option of your little one just wants bread. They get toasted buttery bread, you get a salad with chicken on top. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You won't get a receipt, but you won't have a problem. Just go to any gate and scan your pass Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

"Most parks"??? I don't think any Cedar Fair parks have trams. Dollywood and Disney do... I agree it doesn't really make sense based on the layout of the parking lot in relation to the entrance gates... And if you had to wait a long time for the tram it probably became more of a complaint from guests than seen as a perk, which would make sense to eliminate it. Sort of related to the ability to get to your car faster... I really think they should add another train stop depot just passed the Soak City stop... Then when Soak City closes (or is closed on the off-season) the train would use that stop instead of the Soak City one... And it could have an entrance/exit into the park which would more people to "park close" to an entrance (and not have an issue once Soak City closes). Most of the other large Cedar Fair parks have multiple entrance/exit gates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Gold gets a 20% discount on the price when purchased. Cheapest I've seen Xtreme Skyflyer is $10/person. Cheapest slingshot this year I've seen is $15/person. Best chance at lowest price is as soon as the park opens, or on really slow (rainy) days. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As a platinum pass holder who went to most of the chain this year, I have a lot of Cedar Fair apps on my phone. With the rainy weather, I've received push notifications of early closing for parks, and more commonly water parks from the other parks... But my home park, Kings Island, rarely uses the app push notifications. Example, Thursday evening we head over to the park to grab dinner, play Pokemon, experience carnival. With the concert for spirit song going on, the parking lot is packed... It's 540, so we decided we can just park by and enter via Soak City. Great plan, except we have to get all the way to the gate before being told that soak is closing at 6 and we have to get out. I'm not mad that they close early on rainy days... But when I see so many other parks using the app the send out notifications ahead of time, I'm frustrated KI can't do the same... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Seems like there was a decent investment for the parade floats, so I hope that means it will become an annual thing. The non singing /dancing shows in each of the countries are awesome. The Italian juggler, the French arielist spinning before the effle tower, the Chinese acrobats. I think more people would enjoy these if they included the times of each show in the passport booklet. Portions of the event seem a little unorganized (like the adventure quest) and I'd have liked to see the food on the dining plan (even if I had to use an entire meal credit to get one food item)... But overall I felt like they captured the "carnival" theme well and it was a fun family event. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can't think of a B&M coaster I didn't love... So I'm not sure any of the reasons given would merit not using them... I could see a Mack fitting in well with the family theme of Kings Island... Copperhead strike is fun but not nearly as intense as a B&M. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks like no discount for season dining plan holders... Bummer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I mostly agree with this... Although with the number of these signs here at CW, there certainly is no excuse that anyone who "saves a spot for someone" is actually participating in line jumping. I do think that some people legitimately think that is ok. Also, with the number of signs up I've seen it empower people here to confront those who are trying to get by to get up to their group... By telling them that they are line jumping and pointing to the sign. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At Canada wonderland today. These signs are everywhere!! We still see people pushing through to join their group... But it seems like these help. Wish KI would put these up to educate folks that saving spots in line is cutting in line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hanks has been burritos for the last couple of years... So if you mean chicken with lettuce wrapped up in a tortilla... Then yes, you could order that and call it a wrap... But they call it a burrito. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I go on a buyout day every year. They only accept the company passes at the admission gates, they won't even scan your pass so that it will register a visit... Thus you can't use your pass for meals in the park on that day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Chicken shack used to have wraps. Hanks has burritos. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm signed up for the newsletter. I got the newsletter this week which mentioned the program. I went into my account and confirmed that it is linked to my pass, although when I try to add other family members it asks me for their email address and birthday... Which I put in but then nothing happens and I can't "see" that they are added to my online account. I've got 10 visits this year, and haven't received any type of activity email confirmation. As someone predicted, water has indeed been reinstalled in la Rosa I street. Perhaps it was always the plan to put that in later... But I'd like to think the park responded quickly to feedback. ~ Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
