KIMonster14 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 If Kings Island were to get a new dark ride what would you want it to be? I would be thinking a space or a haunted house. but those might be to close to Flight of Fear and boo blaster.... WHAT DO YOU THINK? Quote
Spacoli Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Ooh I know a ride themed to a journey into a mysterious crypt with, fire, sound, and water effects! Oh wait never mind... 1 Quote
Coney Islander Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I would love a Dark Ride like Monster Mansion at Six Flags Over Georgia... Maybe a castle- theme, where you meet the King and the rest of the comedic royal family. Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 DarKastle in Busch Gardens Europe. Best non-coaster I have ever been on. 1 Quote
markr Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 How about a ride in boats where you see the different Hanna Barbera characters with a catchy tune ( Live in my tee vee....)? Never mind. 2 Quote
rotag Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 i second the idea, for a similar monster mansion. with NO painted plywood cut-outs & NO making it into a "shoot'em-up" game. rotag- who cant stand those type of rides & gets easily turned off by them. Quote
westcoaster Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 The Lost Journey, A trip around the world boat voyage, with a story line!!! Then a big suprising drop at the end, But themed music, something that would never be tired, and enjoyed by generations!! Current owner I doubt ever we'll see something! Quote
RingMaster Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I always had an idea for a dark ride themed to Around the World in Eighty Days, with the cars themed to hot air balloons. Think a hybrid between It's A Small World and Peter Pan's Flight (inverted cars traveling around the world), but with no singing children. 1 Quote

Maybe this can be an enclosed, modified Zamperla Balloon Ride, using large LED-wall technology to "trasport" riders to different parts of the world as they pass by... very interesting... Quote
flightoffear1996 Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 I know this would cost alot to get and alot of people prob. wouldn't like jsut because of its name but I think a ride themed to Warcraft would be pretty cool and I don't even play the game anymore but it does have some really cool music and themes that could make a great dark ride. Dbfan Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Lets have a dark ride without lights on and annoying guns in your hands. Quote
CedarPointer Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 How about a dark ride where you're in a theater filled with ghosts? Oh. Never mind. Quote
RingMaster Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 How about a dark ride where you're in a theater filled with ghosts? Oh. Never mind. I'll do you one better. Let's build a water dark ride themed to a gaggle of little blue people in white attire. Oh, wait... Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 ...or a water ride homage to the cartoon characters found in my tv... ooops....a boo boo! Yabba Dabba Doo! Quote
ahank Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I wish this could have been salvaged. Easily the best dark ride I've been on. Quote
muppetfan1999 Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 A multi level ride located in the building the Crypt now houses themed around whatever. I always had an idea for a dark ride themed to Around the World in Eighty Days, with the cars themed to hot air balloons. Think a hybrid between It's A Small World and Peter Pan's Flight (inverted cars traveling around the world), but with no singing children. Hear, hear! That song is SOOOO annoying!!! Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 There is at least one poster here that adores that ride (AND that song). Especially the California version thereof. Then again, that poster adores the California Disney Resort and thinks it superior to the Florida version in almost every conceivable way. He's funny like that... Quote

When I rode It's a Small World, we got stopped for a short while. It was probably only a couple minutes, but it seemed like HOURS. If I never hear that song again, it will be too soon. Quote
calakapepe Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 I want a pure haunted house, not one you walk through though... That's one thing I never really liked about HH, is you can get stuck behind very cautious people, and make things go way longer than they should. Quote

westcoaster Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Through the years. The Kings Island story!. Very cool!!! and first of its kind! even have parts of hannah, scooby, phantom, old rides, memories, complete darkness, all on a gentle boat ride!, then at the end maybe a future model of Kings Island. Quote
markr Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 Indoor boat ride detailing the history of the park. RD I love that idea. As long as after, say 10 years, they don't change it into something else. Quote
The Interpreter Posted September 19, 2010 Posted September 19, 2010 If they kept it up as well as the then management did "The Paramount Story," you'd have little to worry about. Funny how new movie stones just quit being added after a while. And the park's history does get added to, documented or not. Quote

That's one thing I never really liked about HH, is you can get stuck behind very cautious people, and make things go way longer than they should. Well, it's really annoying when people behind you want to rush through the whole thing and then you end up right behind another group. Better to be slow and cautious and make the hour you spent in line worth it. 1 Quote
