xXDrummerKiDXx
Well I just remembered something that confuses me. Last time I went me and my friend became friends with a set of twin girls. They look almost the exact same, you would have to really look to tell the difference. They were explaining to me about how they only use one pass, one goes in with the pass, hands the pass to the other and she uses it. I don't see how they get away with it. I thought there was something on the computer told the worker that the pass has been used twice. I don't know, it was clever but stealing from Kings Island, which I don't like
Colonel_SoB_fan
They had to be lying. The computer will not allow the same pass to be used twice
medford
My wife went in the morning last year, left for a couple of hours, then went back in the evening when i was joining her and my son. She mentioned that she had a season pass when leaving and didn't need her hand stamped, she was informed that even season pass holders need their hand stamped, they won't admit the same pass twice in the same day (though I'll assume customer service would allow it if they believe there was really a misunderstanding and the pass holder wasn't trying to get one over on the park). The twins might be able to get away with it once, but they're not going to get away with it on a regular basis. They could probably get away with it as long as they both didn't use the pass on the same day.
xXDrummerKiDXx
I don't know, but that's what I thought. They said they did it. But what if like the stamp wore off?
Browntggrr
^^^ You are absolutely right, but twins get away with this sort of thing all the time. They could easily have the twin with the different name use the card, swap the card to the real card owner, and when the alarm sounds after being used a 2nd time, the real owner could easily pull out their ID to verify the ownership. Due to their age/ inexperience, as well as twins always pulling of this type of scam, most associates would not think twice about bypassing the alarm. This does bring up a new scam for FastPass: one parent will pay for FastPass, get in line, use the Parent Swap Program, and the other parent then walks up the exit and jumps on the ride. upstop
Ahhh how long till we have the index and middle finger scanners like Disney does.
The Interpreter
Carowinds tried it several years back. It was a miserable failure.
flightoffear1996
I have left the park and got bored at home and decieded to go back and was able to use my pass multiple times. I even remember seeing a big red X on the monitor but they let me in anyway.
CoasterGeek101
This makes me wonder can you not go to Cedar Point and Soak City in the same day with a platinum pass since it can only be scanned once a day?
The Interpreter
You can. You need a handstamp to get in park 2 at the Cedar Point complex. You can also use your Platinum Pass at two dry parks in one day. If they let you in at all, that is.
jcgoble3
This makes me wonder can you not go to Cedar Point and Soak City in the same day with a platinum pass since it can only be scanned once a day? Last year, I had no trouble at all getting into CP's Soak City with my PP mid-afternoon after getting into the dry park at 8:45 that morning. You can. You need a handstamp to get in park 2 at the Cedar Point complex. The SC admissions associate did not check me for a handstamp; he/she (I don't remember which) just took my pass, scanned it, and let me in. CedarPointer
"Re-Entry Not Allowed". They WILL get caught eventually. Don't try it.
PKIVortex
Soak City At Cedar Point, and Cedar Point are two different parks, there for you can use your PP to gain entry into the waterpark, and your pass to gain entry into Cedar Point. However if your planning on leaving one or the other to enjoy the other park you have to get your hand stamped to reenter. Soak City stamps one hand, and Cedar Point does the other.
XjoshhyX
One thing I had seen done in the bathroom just outside the park was 2 guys pushing the backs of their hands together after one had gotten his stamp. They walked back in and the one who didn't originally have the stamp told the teller he washed his hands and they let him right in.
bkroz
The handstamp says VOID backwards so that if someone tries to do a press-and-transfer to a friend (and described above) the stamp (which would be mirror-imaged on the receiver's hand) says VOID forwards. Of course, in my experience most associates at the gates just quickly verify that there's some sort of ink on the person's skin, not if it's the right word in the right location... At parks that use the Touch 'n' Go fingerprint system, no handstamps are required except for single-day tickets because your ticket and fingerprint are required. At Disney Parks that still don't have the fingerprint system, you must use your park ticket and handstamp to get back in to a park. Funny that Cedar Fair likes redundancy in safety mechanisms, but not in park entry systems where we could really use it!
KIfan1980
This season, I actually had a handstamp that said "Firehawk". I was wondering if they were changing things up this year.

bkroz
I haven't been to Kings Island this year. It may not be technological, but it's at least something! Tell me: have they found a balance between the ink that washes off with the slightest misting vs. the literal grease paint that stays on (and wet) for days? OldieButGoodie
They're still using the UV ink at King's Dominion, but it washes off in the hotel pool! We went back and only one of the group had a bit of stamp. They asked whether we had passes or receipts from earlier which of course we did. No hassle, but I think I prefer the difficult-to-remove stuff over the UV. At least you *know* whether you have a stamp!
Voicetek
What if someone cloned them self? Then they would look the same and have the same fingerprints so that they could easily get through the fingerprint scanners too

The few times this year I've gotten my hand stamped, it's been reasonably resilient. (I think it was an opaque blue? I don't quite remember.)
