CoasterGeek101
When do you guys think it will be fully demolished?
KI-ORIG-EMP
When they remove and clean up all the wood and not a day sooner.
homestar92
As far as I'm concerned, it is demolished. It is in such a condition that sending a train on the track without it going airborne is an impossibility. Therefore, the ride is no longer complete, and is demolished. The Interpreter
"Don't it always seem to go That you don't know what you've got till it's gone" they paved paradise & put up a parking lot... Or condos. Or a shopping center. Kings Island lives on. Would that we could say the same for Americana, Geauga Lake, Euclid Beach, Whalom Park, Libertyland, Williams Grove, Miracle Strip, Pavilion, Joyland of Kansas, Riverview, Palisades Park, and on and on..... Terpy. Context. Context. Context.
CoastersRZ
And technically the ride won`t even be completely dimolished when the last of the wood is hauled away. There are scores and scores of footings that will need to be removed too.
The Interpreter
Really? Were all of King Cobra's? No. Were The Bat's? No. Were Steel Phantom's? No. Were Laser Loops? No. Will ALL of Son of Beast's be? That remains to be seen.

Tanna
Not to rub it in, but I'll be doing an insane death dance in front of SOB's crumbling corpse.
flightoffear1996
Do you realize the amount of work it would take to dig out each one of the footings? Wow. Leave them in and save the money.
Aaron88stang
Removing the footings would depend on what the future use of the land said footing resides. Seems pointless to dig them up if its sitting overgrown under a towering roller coaster, but if an all new area is to be built on the land you can't have them in the way of attractions and infrastructure. KI-ORIG-EMP
If you were to hike in the area that the mono-rail ran, you can see the footers still in place that the rails were attached on. There is no need to remove footers if it does not interfere with the construction of a ride or building. After SOB is completely removed and surveyors plot the land for future use for any planned ride, they would most likely keep footers that are not interfering with any new construction. Just like there are still footers still for The Bat, King Kobra, and other still in place. I know from the construction of the footers for the mono-rail track, those are on average 4 to 5 feet deep by 3 to 4 feet wide. It just would not be cost effective to remove any that are not in the way.
benred23
where would one find a King Cobra footing still in tact? Im Curious...
Browntggrr
^ Start with the area KC used to occupy.
BoddaH1994
If you look to your left while entering Adventure Express's queue you can see some raised footers.

Guest TombraiderTy
There's also a few King Cobra footings you can somewhat see from the Eiffel Tower, and definitely see from Bing maps:
