kjkjkj Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 What are you thinking the 2014 coaster will be? I know some of the manufacturers listed don't make rides anymore, but you guys can dream right? Quote
beastrider97 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I voted Intamin, wood, sit down, yes. My dream for the section would be an Intamin wooden coaster, such as El Toro, including an inversion. While that is my number 1, an Intamin ride such as Maverick would be great too. Realistically, it is probably a B&M. 3 Quote
KI FANATIC 37 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Even though B&M is my favorite and I think it will be a B&M, I am really hoping for a Intamin Blitz coaster (I think that's what Maverick is). I love coasters like Diamondback, Millennium Force, and Leviathan, but Kings Island needs a Maverick style coaster. If you want to know what I think it will be, I think it will be a Leviathan type B&M. But, Im hoping for a Maverick type Intamin Roller coaster. 2 Quote
jcgoble3 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I voted B&M, steel, inverted, and yes. ...and I'm surprised to be the first person to vote for an invert. 2 Quote
TheCrypt Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 I really hope it's a steel Intamin sit down with inversions. It needs to have really good pacing for it to win me over, though. Quote
McSalsa Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Why are RCCA and TOGO on this, and not The Gravity Group or Rocky Mountain Coasters? The former are out of business, and the latter have made some great wooden/hybrid coasters in recent years... Nonetheless, I voted for a sit-down Intamin wooden coaster, based off how well those do on Mitch Hawker's coaster poll, and would like to see one arrive at Kings Island...alas, the footers thus far say it's a steel coaster, and I'm guessing some sort of B&M...but what kind of B&M, I dunno, they all seem to have similar footers... 2 Quote
TTD-120-420 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 What I want: Intamin wood plug n play like El Toro or a Gravity Group coaster. What I think will come: A B&M like Leviathan. Hope not, though. 2 Quote
Fire-Beast-OF FEAR Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 Want: Intamin Giga, B&M Giga, RMC woodie with inversions. what is likely to come: All of these seem realistic based off of trends but a B&M giga is what seems like the most likely. Quote
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted May 5, 2013 Posted May 5, 2013 What I want: Son o Beast My guess of what it actually is: B&M giga Quote
DBInternational Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 B&M, steel, sit down, no. I don't have the kind of money to travel all the way to CW. Let's get a cooler leviathan here. 1 Quote
ProdigyRider Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 Want: GCI or RMC woodie. What I expect: EuroFighter 1 Quote
Coaster.Rider.Kings Island Posted May 6, 2013 Posted May 6, 2013 I think it will be B&M steel, sit down, and hoping it will have inversions. 1 Quote
KIFan1 Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I hope KI gets a wing coaster like Gatekeeper just more heavily themed and breaking more world records than any Cedar Point roller coaster in the world! Quote
IndyGuy4KI Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I voted B&M steel invert with no inversions. I think it is going to be a B&M Giga! Quote
The Interpreter Posted May 10, 2013 Posted May 10, 2013 I hope KI gets a wing coaster like Gatekeeper just more heavily themed and breaking more world records than any Cedar Point roller coaster in the world! What about Cedar Point roller coasters that are out of this world? Terp, who likes to ask questions. 1 Quote
BeastForever Posted June 9, 2013 Posted June 9, 2013 Intamin, Steel, sit down, Yes and No... It's complicated; if the new coaster happens to be a Mega-Lite or Dive coaster, I do hope it has inversions. However, if it turns out to be a shiny new giga I hope it does NOT feature inversions. I hope KI gets a wing coaster like Gatekeeper just more heavily themed and breaking more world records than any Cedar Point roller coaster in the world! What about Cedar Point roller coasters that are out of this world?Terp, who likes to ask questions. Oh you mean Millenium Force, Top Thrill Dragster, Maverick, and Gatekeeper? BeastForever, who greatly shuns Magnum and Raptor. 2 Quote
Dixie720 Posted June 15, 2013 Posted June 15, 2013 Im really hoping for a launching coaster. Maybe something like top thrill dragster. But that most likely wont happen. Quote
BeastForever Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 Giga, Giga, Giga! EDIT: I'm sorry. I didn't realize that was my 600th post. I should've said something in it that actually had a little bit of substantial insight... What I want the new coaster/ride to be: Intamin Giga, 315 feet tall, 95 mph What I think the new coaster/ride will be(in descending order): B&M Giga, Wing, Invert, Floorless Quote
YoungStud Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 We already have a maverick type: stunt track. Quote
coasterfanatic83 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 The fact that you just compared Maverick to Backlot makes me want to cry. 12 Quote
Diamondbacker27 Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 I voted for a B&M Giga coaster with inversions.... 1 Quote
calakapepe Posted June 16, 2013 Posted June 16, 2013 I voted B&M woodie with inversions (Not really.) Quote
SonofBaconator Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 Cutting it kinda close to the big reveal. I already changed my guess Quote
jcgoble3 Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I voted B&M, steel, inverted, and yes. ...and I'm surprised to be the first person to vote for an invert. No change here. 1 Quote
YoungStud Posted August 2, 2013 Posted August 2, 2013 I have been in the b&m invert camp the whole time. 1 Quote
