silver2005 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I think that photo really illustrates the length and the unique, sprawled out layout of Banshee quite well, especially compared to other B&M inverted coasters which are mostly more compact rides. 5
Coasterama Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 It's so weird that just 6 months ago, there were only footers, now we have a beautiful and shiny roller coaster that's almost finished. Can't wait to ride it this summer 5
KIsland12 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I'm beyond ready for a cool summer night ride after a 100 degree day... right when fireworks begin (First Post!) 7
calakapepe Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 By the end of next week, all steel is expected to be up! 5

Adventuro Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 I'm almost as excited about the station as I am about the ride itself. The exit stairs look really cool. 1
themuska11 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Do you think all the hard hats have the Banshee logo or just ones being wore in the videos? 2
KI432 Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 ^I believe Diamondback was the same way if I'm not mistaken?
Kat Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 Great video update! https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152500711138368&set=vb.155893938367&type=2&theater meh. work computers are not at all meant for watching videos I'll have to watch it tonight when I get home.. Kat Posted January 16, 2014 Posted January 16, 2014 How much progress did they make today? Kat, who is stuck at work and won't be home til after 10pm and doesn't want to wait for David to post the official update 1
upstop Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Looks like they are close to the inline roll now....short by a couple of pieces. Then...it's all downhill...LOL 2

The Interpreter Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 A coaster is a lot more than footings, supports and track... 16
thedevariouseffect Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 By the way thank you to Don for the construction videos and progress. Its nice to see some new visuals and details about the construction in things other than words and pictures Why can't Kings Island do a blog and podcast like CP it's shown to be successful.. 5
malem Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Why can't Kings Island do a blog and podcast like CP it's shown to be successful.. There is a Banshee blog: https://www.visitkingsisland.com/Banshee/the-evidence/wail-of-the-Banshee-blog?cat=Banshee (Admittedly, it's well-hidden on the site. I only found it because I had subscribed to the "KI photo of the day" RSS feed last season.) Not every park has to do exactly what CP does; a certain chairman/CEO has left the company. I echo the thanks for all the pictures, webcams and timely construction details; it has been really neat watching this project take shape. 12
upstop Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 "@KingsIslandPR: A look at the construction of Banshee from the backside of the ride. #KingsIsland http://t.co/2KMYqg1muV" ...and what a beautiful backside she has! Joncars05, heading for the exit... Couldn't agree more! 6
Ohiocoasterman Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Here is the image I caught going up today... 11
thedevariouseffect Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 It's not the parks being the same exactly it's that the content at one is really quite nice. You have to admit the pointcasts are pretty nice to have. The blog is...eh at times. But some good articles do exist. For KI...there's really none of it. Only thing I don't like is the advertising and stuff on Twitter more than other platforms. I see no need to be on any and every platform especially one that uses symbols in place of normal punctuation 3
Kat Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 I am so excited to ride this. I will be using one of my paid days off work for media day lol 2
