The Interpreter Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Remember how Face\Off became a very muted, nearly light pink and faded yellow muddle? I'd rather start out with a deep reddish orange if pronounced fade is in The Bat's future. 10
jandyb79 Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Those were my thoughts exactly. And, this is why there should be very little concern for the Banshee and it's "mystic red". It will no doubt turn into "hazy purplish" within a few seasons! 7
davidw Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Soooo, I'd say its snowing today. (removed pic) 19

I'm predicting that, some day in the future, Banshee will be the prettiest baby pink and powder blue coaster you've ever seen! 11
The Interpreter Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 That's bizarro. Terp, who just can't help himself, in a mass sort of way. 9
TheBEASTunchained Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 ....And the Snow Banshee makes her return..... 17

Nick_Plummer Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Here in Miamisburg, it will not stop snowing! I shoveled the driveway and when I finished, another inch of snow had already fallen on it! I thought that snow would not mealt anytime soon on the webcam! 6
Outdoor Man Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 feel bad for the construction crew over the next week or so.... some REAL crappy weather headed this way with daytime highs of ZERO. is there a temperature where they effective halt work till another day? 8
DontWantToWait42mar0 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 ^Typically yes; too cold is too cold for construction productivity. 3
Gabe Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 This is why all the concrete footers were poured early in the offseason, so they wouldn't have to worry about this weather halting construction! If Don's timeline holds, another few weeks and all the track will be assembled. 5
TheBEASTunchained Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 .....Yes.....Another...... Currently Under Construction: The batwing.... (Photo Courtesy of Kings Island) 17
Executioner822 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 .....Yes.....Another...... Currently Under Construction: The batwing.... (Photo Courtesy of Kings Island) so darn beautiful!!! 8
Executioner822 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 also really feeling it would be awesome since they're going with a cemetary theme, if they put a mosoleum/tunnel at the bottom of the pretzel loop... yes im calling it a pretzel loop, you want a batwing go see Vortex. and then play the Banshee scream in there so its not too annoying to people in the line and adds a cool effect for the riders. just a thought 2
gad198 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 ^^^ Thanks for posting the batwing photo. My initial thought was "I thought it would look taller" until I saw the two guys standing on the lower left hand side of the photo. Amazing! 7

LoraX Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 It is fitting to have a batwing when it's next to The Bat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 12

The Interpreter Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Which, for comparison sake, is nearly 14 stories tall, and taller than Beast's lift hill or first drop. 9
davidw Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Despite the weather, the crew was able to install 2 supports today. Link to gallery 11
Tanna Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 I feel bad for the workers in the snow. I love that PR is showing pics, though. This is an amazing looking ride. This ride is going to be so frightening, especially the first drop. I can't wait. 4
flightoffear1996 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 They are steel workers. They have the proper gear to be working out in the cold. 6

Therefore, a batwing it must be. Be that as it may, there is still an undoubtedly small, but clear difference between our "batwing" and other batwings. Which is why I call it a pretzel knot regardless of what the official status is by KI. Before I get the response of "Who cares?!?" The answer is, "some people" 2
The Interpreter Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Well, pretzels have a rather uncomfortable reputation from the Supermen: Ultimate Flight at Chicago, Atlanta and Jackson, New Jersey. They ain't exactly comfortable. e.g.: http://rcdb.com/1976.htm

myklhicks Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Don: Always burning people. hahaha. Just kidding around. 2
