CoastersRZ
Coney will be adding a new attraction in 2014. The ride seen in the video below will be opening at Coney in 2014. It is an Action Arm from Moser rides, which is the same company that built the Scream Machine ride at Coney. It will be located where the Trabant used to be located, as that ride is being removed from Coney. The ride experience looks quite intense.
beastfan11
Looks like a great addition. This will definitely get to be to the park next year.
KIfan73
I'm trying to imagine what a Kings Island version of that ride would be like.
LordSkippy
I'm trying to imagine what a Kings Island version of that ride would be like.Probably exactly like that, but at Kings Island.Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.
CedarPointer
...with a queue area the size of Coney Mall!
The Interpreter
Capacity would indeed be my biggest concern...either place.
CoastersRZ
Yes, capacity will not be that high, since it only holds 12 people per cycle. Hopefully it attracts people to Coney. They are hoping it attracts some thrill seekers and teenagers to the park. The ride is expected to arrive at Coney in February.
flightoffear1996
Looks like a puke inducing machine to me. Count me out.
jcgoble3
This looks fun. Since I'm not going to be traveling much in 2014, I might be yearning for some variety in my parks. Making my first trip to Coney might be in order.
upstop
Wow...great addition!...Looks like a teeny tiny Mondial, Top Scan.
BeastForever
I'm trying to imagine what a Kings Island version of that ride would be like. A Giant version would be ordered, and it would be removed before even reaching its 10th anniversary.
DontWantToWait42mar0
Coney Mall just got Wind Seeker and they are getting a new ride already? Could this news and the addition of Banshee spell doom for The Vortex?
BeastForever
^ I HOPE you're not being serious right now.
coasterfanatic83
Coney Island, not Coney Mall. This attraction is not an addition to Kings Island. EDIT: Beat me to it!

zombieninja
Nice! I love rides like this. I don't think capacity could be much worse than Python.
CoastersRZ
According to the MoseRides website, the capacity is 720 people per hour. While it may be comparable to Python, the capacity of this ride compared to Trabant, will be less, so the overall capacity for the park will decrease. But it will be better than having a ride standing but not operating, which is what the Trabant was all of last season.
loginmike
To get a capacity of 720 per hour then the ride would have to cycle much more quickly than the one in the video. The ride time was over 2 minutes not including load time. If it was similar ride time as the video the capacity would be closer to 240 per hour.
Tr0y
Trabant is being removed!? That ride is a classic! Every time i ride it gives me memories of the sandlot movie
CoastersRZ
Yep. Trabant is being removed. It was not operating at all in the 2013 season.
jla
my kids saw the video and they want to ride it
CoastersRZ
I still do not know what the height requirement will be for this ride. If I had to guess, I would say it might be similar to Rock O Planes and Round Up. 48" or taller to ride.
sheikra_rocks
I'm trying to imagine what a Kings Island version of that ride would be like. Perhaps something like Shockwave at Canada's Wonderland. However, I believe it is time for Coney to build a nice wooden coaster. Either Gravity Group or GCI.
zombieninja
^ I think something small like Wooden Warrior at Quassy Amusement Park would fit in nicely.
CoastersRZ
I too think that would be a wonderful addition. I don`t know if that will ever come to pass though. I know a few years back, Coney was exploring the possibility of a wooden coaster, but I think the idea hasn`t progressed much farther than initial talks.

The Interpreter
Designed for it, at additional expense. And there is a huge difference between backwater and riverine flooding. Wildcat may still have been at Coney of Ohio in 1971 were it not so.
CoastersRZ
While flooding is of course a concern, the bigger reason it didn`t happen was the cost to build the ride. It was too high for what Coney wanted to spend. Instead, they installed Como Cruisers on Lake Como to replace Bumper Boats. That wasn`t exactly a stellar addition either. Who manufactures battery operated boats and doesn`t make them water proof and include drains in them?
BlondyRidesOn
My brother really liked the Trabant. It looked a little dizzying to me, so I never rode it.
