Is it possible not to get drenched on White Water Canyon, or is it possible not to get soaked on Congo Falls?

White Water Canyon is like playing Russian Roulette.

More often than not, you are going to get wet.

With Congo Falls, you can avoid getting drenched by strategically sitting in the Boat.

I only get wet on Congo Falls since my Wife won't ride it so I have to take the kids while she gets drenched on White Water Canyon.

I've made it off White Water Canyon almost completely dry, save for some water in my shoes. To which I was disappointed, because it was a billion-kazillion degrees, and I desperately wanted to be drenched in cold water.

simple solution to the shoes problem - buy a good pair of sandals (non-leather) that are good for weather. For example, Teva brand mountain climbling sandals. They can be worn on all roller coasters and both WWC and CF

There is only one sure way NOT to get drenched on both rides and that is not to ride them. If it is a hot day, then I want to ride them to cool off. I just make sure my valuables and money are protected from getting wet. I know once jeans get soaked, it might take a while for them to dry off and if the temperature is cool, you will feel cold until they dry. But as far as which one will get you more drenched, I would say it is White Water Canyon.

^ Is that why you chose to stay behind and soak us instead on Banshee's announcement day? (You missed out!)

I had no particular desire to get wet that day, yet I still rode. I don't think anyone in the KIC group really wanted to get wet on Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown on Closing Day, but that didn't stop people.

Sometimes, a ride is worth more than the physical effects it may (or may not) have.

I get cold very easily so the idea of going on WWC did not thrill me, though I gotta say I honestly don't remember that now lol It's lots of fun soaking people who go on WWC. I went on RFYLCB because that ride doesn't get you that wet lol

I suspect Mr. ohiocolts would NOT agree with you. At all.

Congo Falls is a fickle machine. Usually, sitting in the front row, I just get a thick mist and don't really get what I would call "soaked" (though the bridge takes care of that :P). However, on seemingly random occasions, the wave will bounce off of the bottom of the bridge and back down onto the boat, totally drenching you from head to toe. You never know when it will do that to you.

RFYLCB looks like some innocent kiddie ride. But then you sit in front of 3 guys including an Interpreter and you will get drenched. I'll stay away from that ride at all costs next season.

^^ The rest of us in that log didn't get very wet. It probably wasn't fair to leave the front seat for you after making it heavy with 3 adults. :) (Should've boarded quicker!)

Next time, perhaps you can send Terp, Goki32, or myself to the front.
