I noticed that this year at The Haunt they added red glowing eyes on the top of the Eiffel Tower.  I like the eyes added what do others think?

Are they (still) using only the lower platform of the tower to accommodate them?

Not sure as I did not try to go up the Tower Saturday night.  I thought I saw people up there if I recall correctly but I am not positive.

I saw it while I drove pass on my way back from Coney Island. At first I thought I was seeing things then remembered Haunt. Looks nice for Haunt.

I saw the eyes Sunday. Really creepy and great touch.

I can try to get a better night time pic this weekend. The ones I took at night weren't quite as good.

Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, but I swore they have had these in years past? Or maybe it was at Kings Dominion?

Anyway, KI retweeted a picture a guest took of the eyes (and full moon) the other night. I agree, it is a cool touch:

I think it's a great addition. It really stands out and it looks great when you're on the highway going on the exit to Kings Island.

They only used the lower platform last weekend. I went up it Friday and Saturday.

There is another floor above the observation deck so they just put them in there 

Yeah, they appear to actually be inside grating, not on the outer surface. You can't tell at night, they are really effective.

Very creative!  How did you make this video so fast?  It had me smiling and laughing.  I live pretty close to Kings Island so I hope that he is not watching me with his Eiffel Tower Eyes!!!

It comes from a lot of experience. I've been doing animations, video "cartoons," and other media for many, many years. I'll lay down an audio track, then animate around it with timings and adjustments here and there until I have something I think others will enjoy, then I share it.

I love how the position of the eyes creates sort of a top-hat-wearing effect, like the Master of Scarimonies. Kudos to the imaginative teams at KD and KI for employing this cool effect on their towers.

Thanks for the compliment!   I thought it was a nice addition to the Tower and nice to see something new at The Haunt this year.  I hope this is the start of KI adding new things to The Haunt as some of the mazes and shows have been around awhile and it would be great to see two or three of them re-themed next year.

This makes me want for them to put a maze at the top of the tower....

When it gets really dark, it looks kind if intimidating...... And i love it!!

Viewed from corner angles, there's an unintentionally humorous, visually ambiguous way to look at this, but be careful, because you might not be able to "un-see" it. The v-shaped corner braces look like a smile, and the two visible sets of eyes look like individual, sleepy eyes, making for completely different illusion.
