sikkinixx99 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Not really,Lightning Rod and Wildfire are wood. 5 Quote
Tr0y Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Both Wildfire and Lighting Rod have topper track example: If I'm not mistaken the wheels of a coaster roll along the tracks. The track we see in this photo is painted red. The track looks oddly metallic for "wood". 10 Quote
DiamondBanshee Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 This was apparently sent to the media Used with permission from @coaster_freeze on Instagram Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 25 Quote
sikkinixx99 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 ^^ that's not what is being used on either Wildfire or Lightning Rod 2 Quote
Magenta Lizard Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 How long before the Banshee announcement were the combs sent to the media? 10 Quote
Haru-Kun Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Project info shared with no sources, sources flashed as proof to justify egos, and finally, some real updates. Looks like I'm all caught up on the ol' decoding thread! 11 Quote
Tr0y Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 ^^ that's not what is being used on either Wildfire or Lightning Rod Both Wildfire and Lightning Rod use this style of track, it is just painted Brown not red. 7 Quote
DiamondBanshee Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 How long before the Banshee announcement were the combs sent to the media? I think only like a week or 2 in advance, but the difference is that the Banshee combs had a specific date and time (if I'm correct) while these are like a media day announcement announcement. Still though, this seems a lot earlier than Banshee's Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5 Quote

Maybe there is a date there that has an embargo date attached to it... 4 Quote

Magenta Lizard Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I'm thinking I might not be crazy thinking the name on the Tin Man boat by DB was painted darker after I first noticed it. I think maybe my wild speculation may be a real hint at this point. Laying my odds on Lumberjack for a name at this point, but no proof. 10 Quote
Steph88 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I honestly have to say I like Splintercat. The axe thing is exciting! Maybe there will be more clues soon! 11 Quote
silver2005 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Crap, there's no connection between axes/lumberjacking with Bearcats... Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. 9 Quote
bm0324 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Their wooden coasters, though easily not entirely wood, still arent entirely steel. To call them steel is just as off as calling them wood.Storm Chaser is entirely steel. And supposedly from these plans, it is showing a steel structure, and if it were to be an I-BOX with a steel structure, like Storm Chaser, that would be entirely steel. bm0324 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 This is Cedar Fair! It's obviously going to be either Lumberhawk, Splinterhawk, Timberhawk, or something along those lines Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk 5 Quote

King Ding Dong Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 An axe would be used to hollow out a log from a fallen tree. Just sayin. 5 Quote

Oh well, only enthusiasts care about that anyway. 5 Quote
dragsterguy21 Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 Anybody getting the connection between all of these logs and the LOG flume?. I hope it stays but I'm just saying. 5 Quote
MrSaturdayNite Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 What a great gift for the media! Now they can axe some questions! Sorry, I had to. 13 Quote
Logan Goddard Posted June 29, 2016 Posted June 29, 2016 I think the point he is trying to make is that they shouldn't be considered wood coasters, which they should always be considered hybrids IMO. 6 Quote
