I just have to remember.. Cedar Point said Valravn was going to have something never before done in a roller coaster queue.. and it ended up being something along the lines of what Snapchat has been doing for almost a year and a half now.

This is true, though wasn't expecting a ton as it was just for the queue. Hopefully this being part of the actual ride it will be a bit more and not be a big disappointment

perhaps its a 4D experience with the vines and wind making it have a spooky and haunting theme to it as if the woodland has decided to "claim" you and the other passengers of the train, would be an interesting idea to see if they could do something like that.

What's up, guys? It's been about 6 years, but I've met a bunch of you in the park recently, so guess I'm back. Anyways, on to the topic at hand.

I'm SUPER hyped for this thing. Since day 1, I was rootingredients for a midsized terrain woodie, and while I was team RMC, GCI is still one of my favorite wood companies, so I'm pretty satisfied as long as it delivers... As for the shed, I'm leaning towards one of 2 things. The first is a backwards launch. While this seems impractical for blocks and such, the matter at hand is that I can maybe count 10 hills of the 16 the press releases promised, so going back over that second half again would make that part add up. My second idea makes more sense for a block. but their gonna have to hide ALOT of construction for it: an underground section. The shed has some pretty solid walls for a dive underground for another short section, possibly with an inversion or dark ride segment, and the animation showing the train come to a complete haunt BEFORE a potential 2-3 blocks means something is gonna happen in there than can space more than 2 trains for an otherwise short looking ride....

I think that people need to think "outside the shed" for what is in the shed.

I am eagerly awaiting riding this thing.  I love riding Thunderhead at Dollywood, and I am sure that this ride will be a hit with the general public.

Exactly. I'm satisfied with a GCI since I've yet to be disappointed in a single one Ive ridden. I'm just trying to figure out something practical and innovative, since the facts we've received donthe quite match the renderings, case in point with the hill count.

I counted 16 airtime moments. I bet that is what was meant by "hills" in that sense. The shed is most likely a dark ride type experience. That allows the remaining track to be a full length block without stacking.

Another thought.......maybe you get caught in the middle of audio animatronic Mr. Ouimet and Mr. Kinzel having a french fry food fight.

Wow. Seems every time KI gets a new ride, people come out of the woodwork to complain. Yet, you'll be standing in line with me and then raving about it after it's over.

KI has definitely scored big with Mystic Timbers. I dig the name, the layout, and I look forward to a nice surprise when it does open.

I would actually think that animatronic trees waving their limbs chanting now you will pay would be a good ending.

But being realistic it is more than likely going to be a screen based video, likely using projectors.  It might have some physical prop in the ceiling as well.  I could also see it being done in real time, which would allow it to be random.  Likely this is being done by Triotech.  Since the shed appears to be a sawmill and the theme of the ride appears to be you in a truck fleeing growing vines and trees.  You likely stop in the shed then see a video which shows the sawmill getting attacked by "nature".

I just hope it is something which is fun to watch over and over again.  One of the problems with screen based attractions is that I find myself getting bored of them quickly and not wanting to ride them frequently. Having made frequent visits to Universal and Disney I find myself wanting to skip the video portion and just do the ride.

Not saying Triotech is involved.  But I believe that the rides at Canada`s Wonderland and Knott`s were touted as being able to be switched out and modified with overlays and new themes rather easily.

Maybe some hologram could be implemented among practical props.

And i half expect those Disney- esque twinkling trails of lights on so many of their rides.. Journey to Atlantis in Orlando also has this

i have to say i doubt the backwards launch because the ride will be running three trains

I am speculating between the popular drop track idea and something a bit less than that. I think it may involve the track shifting and tilting but not necessarily dropping as well some special effects. Now, heres my reasoning. This for one would be pretty revolutionary for a woodie. Another thing. they are going to want to keep this ride moving, it is running three trains so a drop track would have go all the way back up before continuing and that could take awhile.
