Born_in_'72 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Crane has pulled back!! First piece of track is set!! 5
Kodistict Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 When do we usually get another piece of track installed? 2

Hueney020 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 I know it was mentioned before but was it ever confirmed about two different colors of supports. Based off of wild gravity post you can see that the station support is dark grey. I wonder how much of the supports will be that dark grey maybe the entire lift hill?? Then the rest is the light grey. 1

It's possible that the area in and around the station will be a darker shade of grey to match the materials that currently make up the station but I would not expect to see two different colors in the manner in which you see Diamondback.
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 It looks like they’re about to erect another support. 8
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 It is now installed. Circled in black. 4
sikkinixx99 Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Man a camera on the roof of the spaghetti bowl of FOF would be awesome we could really see everything almost like being there. 5
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 They are now installing yet another support in the turnaround, and a crane is lifting another track piece. 2

LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Another track section going up now, next to the transfer shed. 2
collin.klopfstein Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Double post- they are also putting a piece of the transfer track in place 3

The second piece installed is out of view (beside the transfer shed.) The transfer piece you mentioned being put in place was actually just stored in another area (on the other side of that crane) - they didn’t install it today. They probably put it in its current place so that it will be easy to install tomorrow/Monday. 4
sixohdieselrage Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 Man, it's taking shape. Yes, I've seen it above. No, I didnt get pictures. No, I wont say anything else. We will save pics for when we get above the 100' height of track. 4

Hueney020 Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 Lol wow I take back my comment about the supports being darker. This picture clears that up they are all the light grey. 3
ohiocoasterfan Posted September 8, 2019 Posted September 8, 2019 I saw this little support waiting for some track 4

I watched the cam live as they lowered the piece into place with a crane, and it was held in that spot for approximately 30 minutes or so until the crane moved on. Edit: You can see the blue of the track here. It seems to be on the same plane as the track that’s already installed, and this is the area where the track was being lowered into place yesterday by the crane. 3

I saw this also, short straight section between the curved track and the transfer track. 2
