BoddaH1994
The legacy lives on at Carowinds. https://www.coaster101.com/2020/09/03/carolina-cyclone-receives-new-trains-with-help-from-kings-islands-Vortex/?fbclid=IwAR17JMo_HSlRqIexLekMj68nlc6Z0VPWYto_OQ07qzTsaK0REBqanxOJQhc Quote The two trains on Carolina Cyclone will have new bodies next year, made possible by the closure of Vortex at Kings Island.
KIghostguy
For anyone curious, the third train is going to Canada’s Wonderland for Dragon Fyre.

RogueFoxPaws
That article was so nice to read! You can tell they really kept The Vortex fans in mind! I still need to get to Carowinds to ride Carolina Cyclone and Fury!!
DeltaFlyer
My biggest issue with Carolina Cyclone was the trains- that generation of trains was just so uncomfortable to me that I always skipped it. Now, I’ll definitely be sure to give it a ride.

Fun fact- one of Dragon Fyre's 3 trains was given to their Vekoma Boomerang- The Bat when it opened.

VortexBFForever
I have never been to Carowinds and this is finally pushing me to make my first trip! I can't wait to pay those two Vortex trains a visit. It will be so cool for the same trains that gave my very last Vortex rides to give my very first Carolina Cyclone rides!

I’m not sure, all I was told was that two trains would be sent to Carowinds and one train to Canada’s Wonderland.
FUN&ONLY!
Not going to lie, once Carolina Cyclone or Dragon Fyre reaches the end of its service life, I would love for the old trains to be repainted to their original colors and shipped back to Kings Island to put on display somewhere in the park. On the other hand, this would probably be unnecessary to invest money in, so it probably will never happen.
silver2005
I wish they would have painted the trains in more creative colors than just all purple and yellow. At least have the trains match the color scheme on the track.
