What if a launch pad thrill ride was put at the top of the Eiffel Tower much like Big Shot at the Stratosphere hotel? Or even better, a topple tower(HUSS) ride!

*Please don't reply saying that it is not possible or anything like that, this is a what if question*

I always wondered why they didn't put the Flying Eagles on top of the Eiffel Tower. THAT would be the ULTIMATE THRILL!

That would be so crazy!!!! It would be insane!!!! Id snap the hell out of it! Heck Id probably snap the whole tower in half!!!! LOL

I wouldn't say that its impossible but, after all, the Eiffel Tower is a steel skeleton structure, and probably would not be able to handle the stresses of such a ride, without some major upgrading/reinforcement.

Sort of like the Stratosphere. I think it would definantly add a thrill being 300 feet up in the air to any type of ride!

It surely would be thrilling - but the insurance costs may or may not prevent it. Then again...one never knows.

I disagree. I think the Tower would be able to handle a launched ride or something small like the scooters. The only serious consideration that you would need to have would be the steel bending (as you know, the tower sways in the wind as is). Although this could likely be done safely, it could cause potential harm to the ride itself over time.

Let's put Troika up there, why the hell not. Or how about Taxi Jam, the kid's would love it...

eagles = cool concept but overall weird appeal...

space shot = could add visual appeal, and not too much would be problematic, only problem would be old steel in the existing tower... just replace it... and make better, might i suggest a good 1018 steel? (go metallurgy! <-- made a B in the course)

the tower would again have a nice visual appeal, however have bottlenecking problems, and could cause the reopenning of the stairwells, DO it, i like the stairs, i live on floor 9 and take stairs... ha ha ha, maybe thats why im shrinking...

again, not just some tower ride, needs a semi short height tower, like Liberty Launch at Holiday World, or Double Shot at Indiana Beach, nothing amazingly tall, but exciting, 2 blasts... up and down... each! fun times... small footprint for ride, hey, it could be done, or the new INVERTED CENTRIFUGE RIDE in Las Vegas... Check it out!

I think that it would be a cool idea to put something up there like what is on the stratosphere. I imagine that it would scare the hell out of me.

I love the idea of the Topple Tower! Good god that would be wild! Or, another fun ride you could put at the top of the tower would be Zephyr. Flying over the edge in a little plastic swing would be kind of scary!

Make the existing elevator(s) air-launch, like that thing at CP. The operator would only have enough time to say "Welcome to the Kings Island Eif-" before reaching the observation deck, but hey! It'd be fun!

Not sure anyones ideas would work. The tower is 32 years old they would have to do some rebuilding in some areas so the steal would not bend. Also it would look bad in the park!

Bending adds to the thrill. Just look at thrill shot. That sucka is sweet how the towers bend but that makes the safter were structures bend. If it didnt bend it would snap and when it is stiff it makes it last less cause it has to absorb the forces and the swaying tower doenst need to.

I say have a verical lift coaster go up one side of the elvervator shaft and a veritcal drop down the other elevator shaft.

Hell, why not stick drop zone at the top? Everyone loves a good freefall. Think about it- a tower on top of another tower.

Put something like the red tower from Cedar Point's Power Tower on top of the Eiffel Tower!
